Also, we are going to be getting pens made again for this cruise. For the SSMC05 cruisers, you are already familiar. They will be the same as last year, just with the new cruise dates and theme (Celebrating Magical Milestones). For the newcomers, these are our gift to you. We gave them out at the DIS meet onboard, so make sure that you're there, otherwise, you might have to come find me.

I saw that and think it is great. I know Gail (#1Mouse) has a teenage daughter that is coming but is sick today. I'm sure the teens and pre-teens will have a great time getting to know each other just like we do.

ATTENTION PARENTS WITH KIDS CRUISERS!!!!

Hi! I'm Diana aka Diana Lyn and this is my 3rd Member Cruise! I have two little children, Emma who will turn 3 right before we sail, and Julia who will turn 2 just before we sail They are 13 months apart.

Last year, Cindy and Lisa thought it to be a good idea to keep a list of all the kid cruisers by age so the older kids can make pen pals (are they even called that still?) and the parents can make friends with other parents who have kids the same age. This worked out well for me, because I met Amy! It also helped lots of others make some really good friends. Anyway, and I do have a point here! I will be keeping the Kids List for SSMC06!! I will post this list every so often to keep everyone updated. So, if you would like your children to be listed on the list, pm me their first name and age at time of sailing and if you don't want their name posted but want to be included, that's ok too, you can just say DS age 9 and I'll post it as DS (9) (your screenname). I'm hoping to come up with a cute little something for the kids, but nothing I could ever come up with would be as good as the job Lisa and Cindy did last year....so I'm open to suggestions!

I need some advice. It would have helped if I'd planned this out a little better, but I just decided to go last night.

We paid cash for the cruise, 2 adults, 1 child. I did this because we're not one of those with mega points in the till. We own 170, with an Oct use year. We have 88 banked from last year (but that doesn't matter for this cruise). After staring at the point/cash charts for about an hour, I've come to the conclusion that the points were probably a better deal for this cruise. Normal cruise point charts vs cash are the opposite IMHO. We're also FL residents, and have cruised twice before on those rates (DH is choking on the cost of this).

The question is if we use 2006/2007 points for the cruise, how would we go about doing that? DH is military and we might not be able to pull off a vacation next Oct, although we should have a good idea by sometime this Spring. Say we switched from cash to points for one adult and one child, what would then happen if we had to pull out in May? Would we have to use those points by Sep 30 06? I'm obviously no point expert and would appreciate any advice.

Stephanie if you change to points now you'll have to pay the $75 change fee. At this point you might want to think of renting your points and use the cash to pay for the cruise.

It looks like we will be alone at the late seating for dinner. I hope there are some other DISers going to late seating, but if not, they will still be part of my other extended family - DVC!!

Guys, a couple of quick questions:

For those of you on last year's cruise, were there still a lot of kids despite it being during school?

What's the latest with Palo and Spa reservations? Can they be made in advance now?

How do I pacify my college age children who feel abandoned because this will be our second cruise next fall - both w/o kids?

We were on SSMC05 and DS is a sophomore in college. He wasn't very happy with us but he got over it. We are spending A LOT of money on his college education and the cruise is our treat to ourselves. The kids will get over it. Besides, 30 something years of DVC and I'm sure many of the years will belong to DS so there is plenty of time for the "children" to enjoy DVC, DCL or any other place they may want to go. We made it home from shopping. There were alot of people shopping and just standing around in my way. I am the type that likes to get in and out. I have a plan and like to stick to it.

I can't believe the cruise has not sold out. I thought for sure it would be by the end of the day. I wonder if there will be anymore updates today.

Cindy thanks for being the dinner hostess. My name is Ann Marie and my dh is Tom. My dd's are Brooke and Jessica. I am so happy to hopefully to be by some fun people. We sat next to about the oldest most boring people on the last cruise. We almost didn't want to go to dinner on the last night. I think the one man fell asleep at dinner
