2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006

Does anyone know how long the '06 Member Cruise will be? The last 2 were 4 nights...

October 22, 2006 is a Sunday. So, unless they do something weird...I'd say a 4 day.

Thanks guys! The other Member Cruises left on a Sunday as well, so I was hoping at least for a 4 day. Wouldn't it be awesome IF they did a 7 day Member Cruise!!!

Georgie - it sure would! When we were chatting with some of the DVC reps one night and they said they wanted attract new cruisers. We suggested keeping a 4 day and then having a 7 day for those of us who would love a longer one!

I'm hoping that DD can sail on the 9/7/06 10 night with me, so I doubt she'll make the Member Cruise. But I think I may have found a roomie . As I understand it, she has to transfer her points to my account so I can make the booking (my points are all in "borrow" so I can't transfer them). If she decides to pay cash, I can make the reservation with 1 person on points and 1 cash, right? I'll be in WDW 12/3 if that is the call-in date so I won't be leaving my room until the reservation is made.
I missed the first 2 Member Cruises-I won't miss this one!

I couldn't agree more! I told DH that I'm not going anywhere on the day of cruise call in. We had such a great time on this past cruise that I would be very disappointed if we were unable to sail on the next one. Annmarie

Just a reminder for everyone on call in day. If your phone is near your computer (and you don't need the phone line to log on) come to the DIS. Last time Robin opened up chat and we were all able to talk while waiting. It was fun to encourage and have encouragement while waiting and also celebrating as we each got through and got our rooms.

Mary it seems like such a silly thing but remember the fun we all had on call in day. I think someone even posted the question on what DVC or Disney thing were you wearing or using during the call. I think Mark and I will be wearing our 2005 Member Cruise t-shirts to help bring us luck!

I'd rather call it "exciting" cuz I know I was all geeked that I got thru and was going on the Wonder again!!! Chat was very exciting that morning and it was a great way to get all of us chatting and looked what happened when we got on the ship - it's like we knew each other from all the thoughts we had shared. Can't wait to do it again!

I guess it depends on what the call in day is if I will be on the computer. If it is 12/3 I can phone and chat on the computer. If the date is 12/10 can only phone since I will be at OKW.

Hey Nancy - Chris and I are thinking about the champagne brunch on the 30th. If we go, that's the only date that works for us, because the other 2 weekends, Chris is on call for work.

Amy---I have ADR for California Grill for 8pm on 10/30. We wanted to eat there so we could see the Halloween Wishes. Now I need to see if I can switch my ADR to 10/31 as I can't eat 2 big meals in one day.

I didn't realize that there was a chat last year! We hosted a call-a-thon from our house. I served breakfast and had my parents and in-laws over all trying to get through.

It is exciting but I was stressed until one of us got through and we had our rooms reserved.
