With all this talk about your cj I'm anxious for it to make it to my house so I can see all the fun pages!
Yes, Steve's CJ was fun to work on - I even got Ian to help out. But I have to say, I've had so much fun working on all the CJs that have passed my way so far. I can't wait to get the next set... Oh Rochelle, I'm here and waiting!!!

Hi! How was everyone's Easter? Ours was a little busy, went to church bright and early, then we went to early lunch with my Dad, then we went to Tim's aunts house, and then to my Mom's house, and then finally to pick up the girls(all 3 of them...Lauren spent the weekend with her mom, and Kryssy and Haylee with their Dad)
Then that night we had a sick little girl (Lauren). She managed to catch a really horrible case of the flu (she woke up at 4:45 am yelling she wanted some real food, chicken nuggets, we laughed so hard, and then she was sick), that she wasnt able to eat or drink for over 12 hrs, so Monday night we spent the night at the emergency room. She finally was able to hold in some water about 4am, and we went home. Shes been a little better, been able to eat some oatmeal, and bread...So we are keeping our fingers crossed! The other 2 are doing just fine, I guess their immune systems are more accustomed to being around illness from school.

I glanced at a few of the posts, Steve glad to hear that your son is doing better!(How about the snow? It's April, we should be warm and sunny, not cold and snowy) :confused3
I will try to catch up soon!

Hi all!

I just thought I'd throw this out there and see if any of you could help me out. My son-in-law is going to be running in the Boston Marathon on Monday. I just learned that a network called VS. is going to broadcast the marathon live beginning at 9:30 a.m. EDT on Monday. We live in a pretty small town and our cable network doesn't carry this channel. If any of you get it where you live (on cable or satellite), would you be able to tape it for me? It might be his 15 seconds of fame! I would gladly repay you for the cost of the tape!

I've never heard of that channel but I'll check if we get it and if so I'll set the dvr. I'll check and let you know.

Mary, Check with Ilene and see if she can tape the marathon for you. Boston usually airs it Live.

Sorry, Mary, not a channel on our lineup either!

Good luck to your son-in-law! :cool1:

That channel is what was formerly known as the Outdoor Life Network. They changed the name last Fall before Hockey started back up, why they chose versus I have no idea.:confused3

Let me see if I can help you out. I would have to TIVO it since that's when I'm at work.

Hi everybody, been real busy here. Sorry for the bad weather everywhere.

Colleen and Steve - Glad to hear your son is doing better. That sounded pretty scary.

:bday: :cake: Belated Happy Birthday Cheryl!!! :bday: :cake:

Steve - are you going to be down in Indy for the Opening Ceremony at the convention? One of my brothers will be playing the bagpipes at it.
He's asking if I'm heading down to see him. Not sure of my plans yet - I'm so trying to get ready for 2 cruises coming up soon.

I've been a bit on the absent side here - not feeling so great with all this crazy weather but trying to keep my focus on the cruises.

Mary, the good news is that it's middle of April, so we should be in the home stretch as far as the cold weather now. Did anyone else get the snow that Chicago had last week? Ours is all melted now. :cheer2: If it will just warm up, we'll be good to go.

And, Mary, you are not the only one missing around here lately. It seems a lot of us have moved on to other things and other threads. :sad1:

Uh--it's like a blizzard here now. The flakes are huge and coming down very fast. The trees and ground are completely covered in snow again. :sad2:

3 more weeks and we'll be looking at houses in a place WAY warmer than this!! :goodvibes

Well, it rained like crazy for about 20 minutes earlier today. This long line of severe storms ripped through here with tornados and high winds. Thankfully, we only got the quick, heavy rain and high winds, no tornados.

Sorry that I haven't been around much lately. I've been frantically trying to finish my dining room project, plan Madison and Chris's surprise birthday party (which is about 4 hours) and plan for our vacation next week. But, I think after this party, I should feel a little less stress and just enjoy packing and getting ready to go.

Plus, I've been working part-time as a substitute at Emily & Madison's school. Out of the last 2 weeks, I have worked 7 of the 8 days (we had two 4-day weeks). So, that's keeping me busy too, but what other part-time job allows you to bring your kids?!?!?!?

Well, take care and I'll post pictures of my new dining room and the party later!!! I miss you guys!!!

Happy belated EASTER and Passover everyone.

We made it back from sunny and warm Florida a bit ago. My MIL called when we were approaching the HHI exit and said it was cold and snowing again. I looked at Rich and told him to get off at the next exit :rolleyes1 and we could just stay there!!!! He did not listen to me.... :sad2:

Steve - glad you son is doing better.sounds like it was pretty bad.

Cindy - glad Walker is feeling better. kids realy bounce back don't they?

Diana - hopefully this will be good news for you. I will keep my fingers crossed that there are no more surgeries in your future.

Amy - Have a great time on your cruise!!!

Julie - you are absolutely brave going to a baseball game in this kind of weather. brrr.

Robin - only 4 more weeks. wow has time just flown by!!!! Congrats.

Erin - welcome back!

Mary - hope you are feeling better!

Amy - sounds like some exciting tihngs are going on in your life!!! I hope the party was a success :)

Diana - SNOW??? Ugh - I hope you guys find a house fast :thumbsup2 so you can escape the cold... (um it was 40 something tomorrow here with 30 mph winds :scared1: brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Robin - I'm glad you are feeling better!!!

Gail - how was your trip???

Mary - I hope your son in law does very well tomorrow!!!

Hi  everyone. I feel like such a slacker, hardly getting on the DIS lately. I miss you guys. But I had a productive weekend. I finally got out some baby stuff and have been washing it in preparation of "someone's" arrival in a few weeks. I realized we have less than 4 weeks and have been stressing that nothing is ready. I seem to wake between 4-5am these days and can't get back to sleep because my mind starts racing. The other day it was about the car seat and what if this little one decides to come early. So yesterday I made sure to wash the cover and scrub down the carrier. Now at least I know we'll be able to bring a baby home from the hospital if nothing else.

Another thing that's making this all seem so real and close is our local DIS friends. I can honestly say I've never met a friendly community of people than here on the DIS!!! One of them decided it's time for another meet and is turning it into a baby shower for us. I hadn't planned on anything like this but now I've had to go out and create a registry of fill-in things we need to replace or add. Oy!!! Anyone planning to be in the DFW area on Saturday, May 5? You're all welcome to join us cuz we always have fun meets here.

Last time I posted I forgot to wish all who's birthday and/or anniversary I missed a happy belated one. Anyone still experiencing nasty weather, stay safe/warm/dry! And those in need of P&P, here's a little from me pixiedust:.

How did we fall to page 3?:confused3

Mary, I have the Boston Marathon on my Tivo but I won't be able to get it recorded until after my trip North and the stay next week at OKW. I'll try to get to it that next week.

Jeff,
Don't worry about that I've already sent Mary the tape of the marathon. I was able to VCR it for her.

Cool. Thanks Ilene. That saves me some time today clearing room for the Hockey playoffs/Survivor/Sopranos.

I'll check in when I can from NJ and hope to see whoever's in WDW next week.

Well we are back on page 2 again...I'll boost us up! Seems like everyone has been as busy as we have! We are almost finished with Lauren and Haylee's room. Then on to the kitchen! Tim's out of town for work until Friday, and tonight is my late night to work, so the girls are with my mom and I am going to try to organize alot of things tonight and tomorrow!

Amy, Good luck with the party, and dining room.

Mary, sorry to hear about your fall, hope your feeling better real soon!

Robin, stop fretting, it will all get done in time for the little one's arrival!
