OOh beach towels is a great idea!

I'm reading the thread now and :rotfl2: that someone just mentioned refillable mugs :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link Roxann. It looks very intriguing. Too bad Owners Locker wasn't around a few years ago when David and I made 2-4 trips to WDW every year. Now we're down to once, and probably not at all next year with the 2 week PC. But it may something for us in the future.

The refillable mug is probably the best suggestion of all. (Just don't tell anyone on the DIS your reusing it. :lmao:)

Happy Corned Beef & Cabbage Day!!
Or Irish Whiskey!!:lmao:

Well I haven't been around for a few days so I need to get caught up.

Ilene - I so know how you feel about the weather yesterday. It took me almost an hour and a half to get home from work and I only had to go 17 miles!!! And I'm so glad our neighbors grandson stopped by with his plow truck this morning!

Michael - So nice to see you stopping in!:wave2:

Robin - I love your scraproom. The color is so tranquil. I was a little green with envy looking at the pictures. You'll make some wonderful scrapbooks in that room!

Cindy - I know you have left already but hope you have fun camping with Cameron.

Mary - Sounds like you have a nice driving trip before your cruise. Enjoy your visit with Karen!

Ok I think I'm basically caught up. Everyone in the house is sick or just getting over being sick. Nick had to be picked up from school on Wednesday and was home the following two days with fever, runny nose and cough and he passed it on to Jeff & myself, Yuck.
I did get to see Diana today. We went to an 8 hr crop. Diana got a ton of pages done and I got a decent amount done.
Oh well have a good weekend everyone!

Robin,
LOVE your room. The color is so tranquil. I love your flooring and it looks like you have an incredible view.

My daughter never got home :sad2: She got detoured to Atlanta and then told she would have to stay over until Sunday night. So she opted to go BACK to Daytona so she wouldn't have to pay for a hotel and she'll fly out on Sunday to arrive by 6pm ...FINALLY. Sheesh.

Wednesday we are off to NY to see my cousins and MARY POPPINS on Broadway. We are soo...excited.

Next month....DISNEY! (it's how I'm keeping sane through this snowy March)

Robin....just wanted to join the others in saying that your scrap room is beautiful! Unfortunately, my I have to share my scrap/knitting room with the treadmill, but since I use it too, I can't complain! It looks like yours has a lot more natural light than mine does though, and for that I AM envious!

Okay...I'm over it now. Enjoy your new room!

Camping was a lot of fun and we surived the cold! :thumbsup2 It got down into the upper 20's last night so it was an experience!

Several of the boys along with two Dad's slept out "under the stars" last night. When they started to get into their sleeping bags, they realized that they were covered with frost! :scared: They climbed inside without hesitation and stayed there all night long. I thought for sure they'd have frost on their heads this morning, but they were smart enough to keep their entire bodies inside their sleeping bags.

I had a tent to myself as I was the only Mom to spend the night. I was a little cold, due to the luxury of the cot, which kept the cold air coming up underneath me. :confused3

But, we had a lot of fun and look forward to the next time. Cameron tells me that it's okay for me to go -- in fact, he'd kind of challenged me to go with them for the wingshooting in May so that he can laugh at my attempt to shoot a clay pigeon. :rotfl2:

I'm glad to hear that you survived the cold AND had a good time!!! I'm sure that Cameron will really appreciate the fact that you did those types of things with him, when he's older.

You are a brave lady!... I do not think I could do that for Nick.

Ahhh, your day will come. ;)

It really wasn't that bad and I actually enjoyed it.

The first thing I did this morning, though, was head over to the local donut shop for some coffee. It really hit the spot and I was able to turn on the heat in the car. :woohoo: By the time we were breaking down camp, though, I had taken off my winter jacket and my pull over sweatshirt (with :eeyore: on it, Gail ;) ) and was fine in my long underwear shirt and regular sweatshirt. It's really a rather nice day here today now.

And, the couple of Motrin I took when I got home has kicked in as well. :lmao: I'm sure tomorrow I'll be moaning and groaning. :rolleyes1

Good grief girl, do you remember everything :rotfl2:

Did you guys see the Cruising Do's and Don'ts show on the Travel Channel last night? They showed a lot of DCL and featured Christian and Clayton (who Mark and I fondly remember as DJ Hollywood). Very good show. I also read on the main board that there should be a new DCL show on the Travel Channel in early April.

I missed that but I checked out travelchannel.com to get the schedule of when they are showing it again.

Well we are headed to NY to Broadway to see Mary Poppins tomorrow BUT the show is at 8pm and arrangements to spend the day with my aunt, cousins didn't work out sooooo DH looked at me and said lets just do a matinee too! So I found this awesome discount ticket website that works in conjunction with ticketmaster and the discount was $76 instead of $112! and we scored FOURTH row seats for TARZAN! We are all so excited!

Ilene that is great about the show. Have a great time.

We are now thinking of going to Disney May 9 for one week. We have never been there in May. What can we expect? We are thinking about staying at POP, Caribbean Beach or AKL (that's what I want but I don't think we are going to spend the extra money). When I called CRO they recommended getting CBR or AKL with the dinning plan and a one day pass. They said we could then take the one day pass and use it to buy our AP's. Has anyone tried this before? Does it really work? I plan on calling MS to see what they say before booking. What would you all do? I really need help. We can't stay on points because we have none.

We will no longer suffer from TV envy. We have moved up to the 21st century!

Sorry, Annmarie, I can't answer most of your questions. I do know when we were down in WDW for Member Homecoming, it was very, very hot and humid.

If you decide to go and it works out, have a great trip! :cheer2:

Annmarie, we went mid-May two years ago, and it was great! Wore shorts the entire time! Flower and Garden Festival is going on at Epcot, and that was fun, especially the special topiaries.

Looks like it's going to be a cloudy, gloomy day here. Yesterday was beautiful! Sunny and temps in the low 70's. I'm especially bummed because I have to go to the dentist this morning for some major work. He said I'll be in the chair for 1.5 hours! I think I may work on scrapbooks when I get home. Maybe that will brighten my day.

On the good side, remember when I posted in January that I lost my car keys at a crop? I found them yesterday! They were in a pocket of my coat that I NEVER use. It's located above the hand pockets, and since my coat was hanging on the back of my chair when I dropped my keys into the pocket, I must have dropped them in the wrong pocket!

Our spring break is next week, but we're not going anywhere. Cindy...the custodian at the church where I work told me yesterday that he's going to Hilton Head with 3 of his buddies to play golf. I thought about you and your upcoming trip. Hope you have a great time!

Yep.....it's raining now....looks like I'll need one of these..:umbrella:

Okay, are your tickets part of a package? (Is dining included?)
If yes, then you might not be able to "upgrade" them.
If not then you'll be ok. Although I've read that they are no longer prorating tickets so I'm not sure how this effects your value.

May is great, very sunny.

Also may I give a suggestion? Don't use CRO. Use a disney travel agent,
example: AAA or dreams, small world or mouse for less. If you need links, contact me. Most of these travel agents will make your dining reservations for you.

Also you might want to look into renting points. You could also Book a room and using the AP discount.
