The bad news is I have no idea where my snowboots went. I had them when I went camping with Cameron in October and now they are no where to be found. So, I will be the idiot with gym shoes on tonight and tomorrow.

I'll be with you! The boots take up to much room. All of us are comming with just tennis shoes.Not the smartest thing to do but that's how it is!(I'm packing plastic bags for our shoes if we get stuck some where and have to walk in snow.)

We have had 1 snow day since Cameron has been in school. Our District never closes which is why it was such a surprise when they did today.

We don't have snowdays built into our school calendar so now the kids will need to go 1 day later into the summer months to make up for today.

Same here, we had one snow day, we never close the schools! The kids will have their last day on a monday in June now!!

Sorry about that, I was going to post once I got the kids down. Amy called about an hour ago, they are still in Indianapolis waiting for the okay to head up to Chicago. They were told don't stray far because once they have clearance, they will be taking off.

I hope Amy, Chris and the girls get to Chicago safely and soon! It will be a long day for them hanging out in the airport. My MIL lives in Indy and the airport there does not have a lot to keep you occupied.

OK...Well once again my plans have changed, but this time its not due to me...Tim had to go into work and close today, one of his employees walked out, and the other complained that he didnt want to stay until close, so guess who that left...Tim! So I am going to Blue man group with my brothers girlfriend, and we are cancelling the hotel room, makes no sense when he has to work tomorrow also. Me, Krystina, Haylee, and Tims DD Lauren will be at lunch tomorrow!! I am trying to talk to Tim into driving up by you guys after he gets off work tonight, and we will all hang out. I cant believe the luck he has!

Glad Amy and family have landed safely here in Chicago! Safe travels to everyone else!

Wow quite a morning around here! We lost electricty in the whole town for most of the day and although we have Generator here at the bulance quarters there was no CABLE either SO that coupled with the 7 calls we have had today, I havent had much time to post anything.
Conditions were AWFUL here today. Our drive to the nearest hospital is usually 22 min. today was 45 minutes. And just all around a nasty day.

It sure saddens me to miss everyone this weekend. I will try and post a pic or two IF we burn down the building we are supposed to tomorrow. I hope all the rest of the travelers arrive safely

What night are you going to see Blue Man Group? What night are you interested in getting together? Gail & I have theatre tickets tonight for the Rockettes at 8 p.m. and I'm betting we'll be up afterwards. I don't think anyone has thought ahead to tomorrow night.

OOh the Rockettes in Chicago is just a wonderful holiday treat - have a blast!

Yowza it sounds like it has been a crazy day.
So glad to hear Chris and Amy finally made it to Chicago. The girls must be beat.
The day started out nice here then started to turn at around 1pm. We have crazy on and off rain right now, lightning and thunder. A bunch of schools canceled after school activities and they are predicting high winds.
We are going to the school for a play tonight at 7:30.

I can't believe some of your schools don't have snow days worked into the school plan. Our school has 5 days worked in which rarely all get used.
