Good morning everyone! Today will be decorating day for us. Ho Ho Ho!
We had big plans for holiday decorating today too. Ken was going to put lights on the house, and we were going to go to the tree farm and tag a tree because the weather is gorgeous today! However, Ken hurt his back helping his dad get firewood ready yesterday, and can barely even move today, so there will be none of that done today. I think I will still get down some of the boxes of decorations from the storage room and do some decorating in the house though. Since we get a real tree, that will have to wait for later in December.

Sorry to hear Ken hurt his back. Hope he's feeling better soon pixiedust:

Mary - sorry to hear about Ken's back. Hope he's feeling better soon.

We got a little derailed on our decorating as we went and did some shopping today. So it looks like most of our decorating will be tomorrow. That's fine since we really didn't have any plans and we're going to church tonight.

Sure sounds like it will be a very cool souvenier in and of itself!

Thanks to both of you again for doing this!

Actually, I think that Chris said that we're already into our 3rd DVD. But, don't worry about it because some people did send extras, and a few sent some money too (thanks guys), so it'll be a "gift" from all of our DIS friends.

I sent you three DVDs thinking that they'd be extras. I had no idea how big this project could get.

Amy & Chris - thank you so much. This is going to be amazing and what wonderful memories will be on those 3 DVD's!

Busy day around here!! :faint:

We were up bright and early to take Walker to his ear doctor appointment. Surgery is a go and I'm glad we ended up having to take him in for a pre-op visit. The doctor reassured Walker that there would be no shots -- all he'd have to do was blow up a funny looking balloon which would make him fall asleep so the doctors could do what they needed to do. Walker thought it was pretty cool to hear about -- I hope he's as agreeable in a couple of weeks.

We rushed home to find out that Walker's Cub Scout event was cancelled due to the leaders son being sick. So, Walker went off to play at a friends most of the day, Cameron had some friends over to play without his nagging brother around, Gary did most of the outside decorations, I worked on bringing in the winter clothes and the mound of laundry to go with them.

We still haven't made it to the grocery store. It's not an option whether we go tomorrow or now. That is, unless we don't want anything to eat around here for the next couple of days. The tree is up, not decorated. The other decorations are in, but not even close to coming out of the boxes.

Cameron & Gary are off to a Boy Scout event tomorrow. I suppose Walker & I will work on decorations. One of us will go to the grocery store bright and early in the morning.

Where do these long weekend go?

Hi everyone. I never had a chance to post before we left, but Ian and I drove down to S.A. on Tuesday to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. Ian had a great time playing with his cousins and all their toys. We got home a few hours ago and he already misses them. (David had to stay home because of work - stupid retail holiday hours!)

I'm glad to read that everyone seems to have had a nice Thanksgiving.

pixiedust: to all that find themselves sick right now. I hope y'all feel better soon.

Congrats to all you brave souls that ventured to stores and malls yesterday for the great bargains. There's no way I'd do that, but I did go to the scrapbooking store I love down in S.A. for an hour or so yesterday (while Ian napped in the stroller.) No bargains, but they have the absolute best selection of Disney scrapbooking supplies I have ever seen!

Oh good, you got ours. My sister sent it off for me on Wednesday while I took her kids home to play. But I realized I forgot to include return postage so I'll send that off to you this week. Thanks again Chris & Amy for taking on this project. I can't wait to see all the pics we get back!

CJ question:
I've been looking at some of the pgs on the peasinabucket site. How do you get the type, journaling etc on the page? I know this sounds silly but do you run the background through your printer, do you use transfer paper or what?
It doesn't seem like you could do anything but run it through the paper but if the paper is only 8x8 how do you run it through and get it to come out on the page where you want it? Please bare with my silly questions even if they seem obvious while I try to figure this all out. Thanks.
If the pages are larger than 8 1/2" wide I'll usually print out the journalling on a separate sheet to add to the background page. But if the page is smaller I might actually print directly to it, first by setting the page size in Word to the dimensions (ie 8"x8") then trimming the paper/cardstock down to size, before printing it out.

I've actually printed directly to a 12x12 before on my printer that's only 8 1/2 wide, but I had to cut the cardstock then connect it back together again. I covered the seam with embellishments. I'd post a picture of it to show you what I mean, but because it was published in a magazine I can't.

David just directed me to some mail that arrived while I was gone. We received TWO survival kits - one to me with a CC member card, one to our family with no cards. Both are "puzzles" but I think they're actually supposed to be the CDs. :rotfl2:

Really now, what idiot packaged these things? No wonder everyone's getting broken CDs. I guess I don't really care though. I've had the survival kit for months on my computer, ever since I found a link someone posted on the Cruise Line Forum where he'd saved the whole thing to his website and is sharing it. It was great for getting in the mood for the cruise! (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=969472&page=1&pp=15&highlight=shoreside+survival+kit)

Good morning everyone! Well I was going to sleep in but I guess my internal alarm clock just won't let me. :) Was up at 5:30, tried to go back to bed and now I'm up at 6:30. Oh well - work to be done today so maybe it is a good thing. Hope everyone has a great day.
