That is one mall I enjoy going to. For those who have never been, it has every store you can think of from the major chains in it plus a full size home depot, BJ's warehouse, ice skating rink and one of my favorites, Dave & Busters. It's got Target, best buy, circuit city, Barnes and Noble, 2 food courts, a ferris wheel, a NASCAR experience, an IMAX theatre and a Loews stadium seating theatre. I know I'm not doing it justice for all that is there. The only bad part is it's slowly sinking into the swamp it's built on.

Oh my goodness! I want to go there but I don't want to end up in a sinkhole! :rotfl2:

Ok can anyone explain why it is so flippen hard to find a 9 foot prelit tree that has MULTI colored lights that is not outrageously priced (including being $100 more than the same tree with clear lights)?????

All I want is a 9 foot tree with multi lights is that too much to ask (and no, I don't want to spen $400 for it either :)

Do you have BJs? I dont think they are in TX, I'm thinking it's a Northeast thing. I was just at BJs and to my surprise they had a 9 foot tree, but the lights were weird on it. They were clear lights that flashed multi colored and apparently there were different setting for the lights to do different things, from what I could tell you could possibly make it a steady multi lit tree.:confused3 I'm not sure, it was confusing and the display model made me a bit dizzy with the colors and clear and flashing and twinkling. The tree was on sale for $99 it was 9 feet and 2225 tips with 1000 lights.

One more thing, we got some more CDs in the mail. We received Erin's, Ilene's and Marla's CDs. To those that are delaying, hurry and get them in the mail. We are really trying to get most, if not all by Thanksgiving weekend, so that we can get them back to you guys by early December (for all you CJ participants).

:guilty: Not delaying, have only been home less than 2 weeks so am really trying. Matt's working all weekend :( and I've been working a lot of hours so hopefully we can get it done this weekend to send on Monday.

Oh that's good - we'll try Costco tomorrow to see if they have them.

I was reading the budget board this afternoon and came accross the thread about the seatbelt video. The discussion there is interesting, however, I did want to post this link http://www.windsorpeak.com/babybargains/blog/B40737805/index.html that they included in the thread and see what everyone thought about it. You have to read down a bit to get to the discussion of the video.

See, when I saw "Seatbelt Failure" in the video, I wasn't thinking the car's seatbelt was faulty and suddenly detached and the car manufacturer was to blame. I was thinking the seatbelt unlatched because A--the kid unlatched it himself (this is very common) B--the mom or kid in buckling the seatbelt didn't push it all the way into the holder to make it click and therefore the seatbelt was kinda buckled and technically "failed" because it didn't hold the kid in the seat when the impact jarred it loose. In which case I think that happens fairly frequently as a result of human error not car manufacturers error.

I'm not blaming the mom or the kid in this case, it's a horrible situation to be in. But the point I got from it is a 5 pt harness is very less likely to fail because there's 2 buckles and it would be very difficult for a child or parent to not buckle completely or for a kid to unbuckle himself.

I told you guys I sent this to a bunch of people. I received several comments back.....a few thank yous, one from a friend who had just switched her son to a booster and promptly switched him back. Another friend refused to watch the video entirely. :confused3 She said she didn't want to know because she figured the kid got paralyzed or died. She went on to say how they just got back from an 8 hour car ride where her kid, 3 years old, exactly 40 lbs plays a new game and ducks in and out of the seatbelt saying, look I'm not buckled, now I am, now I'm not. :furious: HELLO!!! I set out this email because of you!!! You won't watch it and here you are telling me your kid does dumb things with the seatbelt!!!! :furious: I told her she really needs to watch it. :sad2:

If anybody is looking for a Nintendo Wii Walmart.com has a bundle available right now for a little over $600.

That was my take too Diana and it just irritates the heck out of me that some people think that talking about safety is not a good idea. UGH

I mailed mine out today. John actually left it on my desk last week and I forgot all about it until he reminded me. You should get it by Tues/Wed next week. Can't wait to see the finished product - thanks again for doing this - I loved last years!
