It's hard to watch - not graphic at all - and a very valid point!

Thank you Julie. We've always had every intention of keeping Ian in the safest possible child restraint as long as possible. This just reinforces that for me. In fact we still have Ian sitting backwards for safety reasons. I know we could have turned him around 11 months ago, but I feel better knowing his little body is better protected this way. (We'd all actually be safer rear-facing, but it'd be kind of hard to drive that way.)

Julie....that broke my heart. Even made me shed a few tears. It also made me realize how fortunate I am to have my girls, because 20 years ago we put them into booster seats. We were one of the only families I knew at the time though that took the time to attach the top tether to the car seats. Now auto makers make it so easy, there's just no excuse. Most (if not all) come with a place to attach them standard. This was not the case for us. Ken had to drill holes in the back of our station wagon to anchor the tethers to the car frame.

I'm so glad they did!!! We've spent many MAGICAL hours there and created wonderful lifetime memories!

And 19 years later, my DD Dana was born. Happy Birthday Dana! 21 today!!

Hey, do you have a Campanelli home? The builder who built our homes in this area was from the East Coast and that was a building code out there to not have any electrical outlets in the bathrooms and the switches have to be on the outside. We've since had ours changed but isn't that the weirdest thing? I remember people coming over and trying to use the bathroom and not being able to figure out how to turn on the light.

We don't have a Campanelli home but I live in an area where there are thousands. Our main switch to the bathroom is on the outside but we do have an outlet inside as well...not sure if I added it though...probably.

CD's are mailed out to Amy and my fingers are itchin' to start but I promised myself I would wait to see everyone's pics first.

I don't know if I mentioned I'm doing one of Diana's boxes to the theme of "Under the Sea" (I think) where each flap takes a different verse and has a picture that goes with it. I hope it comes out well but I don't think I have a picture for each stanza so I may fudge it and leave out a few.

I actually did send the link to a bunch of people today. I included those who I knew were "offenders". I got an email back from a friend who--and this is really weird--when I sent the email was outside putting a new booster seat in her van that she had just bought for her son, who is 2 months younger than Emma. She took the email as a "sign" and is returning the booster for a new higher weighted seat. I had seen her today, but she didn't mention a new seat and I had clue she was in the market for one, so she wasn't targeted by me. So maybe it was a sign?

Wow. That is weird! I'd take it as a sign too!
I almost NEVER forward any of the 100's of emails I get....the chain letters, the sappy stories, the cute pictures, the "do this and you'll get your wish," and the urban legend emails.

But this was one email that I sent out in bulk. I sent it to every mother, father, grandmother, and grandfather in my contact list. I also sent it to anyone who has any contact with children. This IS an important message.
