On a related note... I was cleaning out our old Gateway notebook and discovered a whole folder of pictures that we had noplace else!

Including the following

That was only a couple of years ago. Yeah, now John has some gray hair that he blames on me

Didn't someone bring a DVD player to play it? I'm vaguely remembering it now - boy it's hard getting old!

Either Mary and Mark or Lars (Laura) brought a dvd player or laptop to watch it on - if memory serves me right - but I am getting old - the mind doesn't always work in my favor. LOL.

Sounds fine to me. How far is it from the mall (e.g. what time do we need to leave the mall to get the by 4:45)?

Just acrossed the street from the mall. Maybe 5 min.max.(depending on the stop light! )

Yes it is the DIS meet DVD. I had gotten a copy from Barry (who used to be a moderator here on the DIS and made the DVD. We brought it but I think you are right Mary that it was Laura who had her DH bring a DVD Player to the mall so they could watch it.

BTW I believe it was March of 2004. The group is wearing our prototype buttons for Member Homecoming.

Well the meet starts at 1PM so that gives us 3 1/2hrs . With this group,yes right after the meet! Or should I say the meet will move to Carrabbas at 4:35!
Dinner at 4:45 PM!

To request a DCL-DVC Member Cruise DVD or CD with photos on it, what type of DVD and CD should I send? Specifically, what format should both of these be in? CD+R, CD+RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, or something else?

And any recommended brands (Memorex, etc)?

(My laptop is too old to burn anything, so I am still relatively naive when it comes to any technology newer than 3.25 floppy discs!)

We will be there at 4:45 for dinner. I don't think we will make it to the mall. What is everyone doing after dinner? I thought I read something about the Holiday Inn but I really wasn't paying attention since I didn't think we could make it. Now I am really excited about Sat.

Have not checked into flu shot yet. I know DH is going to call so asked him if he would check if I should get in line. Last year I did not get one due to shortage. Thankfully I didn't get sick. Here we have 88 y/o Mom living with us and DH who is bypass, j-pouch and hip replacement guy and I am over 55. So if I didn't need it last year...


Mary, I hope your grandbaby is feeling better. Such a cutie in that pic.

I'm having envy of all that will be meeting this weekend. Have a great visit everyone!
