Back from Detroit! I walked into our house and my back door was broken. Now we are having the police "dust" the home. They did not take any electronics except our video camera. They took Nicks money box and my jewelry box. and they ransacked our bedroom. -- There was another home kind of behind us that was broken into last night as well and they have a 100+ pound dog. UGGH. Luckily I do not have much REAL jewelry - as I am not a girly girl. Mostly it was jewelry from growing up that my parents and grand parents gave me and a few items that were from our grandparents.

Just last week I put on my mental to do list to go through the house and write everything down. GUess I am too late. They did not take any computer stuff and we have a lot. My laptop was on the sofa.

On a happier note, WE really enjoyed our evening with everyone. I will try and post later and maybe catch everyone in chat.

OMG - Erin I am so sorry to hear that! How sad that you can't even enjoy a night away from home without someone doing this. I pray that they find who did this and you get your things back for the memories that are attached to them.

Sorry to hear about the break-in Erin - hope they find your stuff and the creep or creeps who did that.

Erin,
I can't believe you got robbed! That is so scary. I'm glad you still have your computer stuff but so sorry you lost the jewelry. Maybe they will be able to find it.

Thanks for the words of support - I am happy no one was here when it happened and that what was taken was minor stuff - biggest blow was that they took Nick's vacation money and my Father in laws park hopper ticket that had 4 days left and was to be used in Janurary. BUT again that can be replaced.

Nick has taken this well and we will move on.

OMG Erin that's horrible.
I guess it's a good thing you weren't home when it happened. I'm glad it seems like nothing major was taken. To bad Nick's money box was one of the things taken.
I hope everything turns out ok and the Cops catch who did this.

Robin, when are you due?

We called Cameron "Sport" before he was born. Friends would ask if it was a boy and we'd say we didn't know but if it wasn't, the nickname would have to be "Sporteet".

Walker was called "Baby Sprout" until he was born.

I like Squirt too!
squirt2.gif
is due mid-May. No idea if it's Squirt or Squirt, though. I know David wants to find out, but again I'm on the fence about it. If we do I know I don't want to tell MIL for fear of her reaction. Her comments when we told her we were having a boy last time still really grate on me and I don't care for a similar reaction this time around.

Ian was

before he was born, and even for a while after, because at one of the early sonograms he was bouncin' all over the place. And you know "bouncin's what Tiggers do best!"

Erin - WOW that is upsetting! I am so sorry to hear that your home was vandalized. Here's to the police finding the crooks!

Oh Erin I'm so sorry to hear this. What a terrible thing to come home to.

Glad y'all are having a fun time at the MI meet today. I would have loved to meet up with all of y'all but it was just a little too far for us this time around. At least we have a DFW meet to look forward to tomorrow.

What wonderful news! :cheer2:

Geez, Erin - That's terrible news about your house! I'm glad that not too much was taken, and extremely glad that no one was home to be hurt! Just think happy thoughts about the future DIS Meet at Cedar Point!

What awful news. Hope they catch whoever did it. :sad2:

Ummmmm - DIS Meet in Chicago December 1st-3rd??? How the heck did I miss hearing about that? Curt is off that weekend, and the only client that I have starts Sunday night. In other words: This may work! What hotel is everyone staying at? :confused3

Details! I want details! (I was just whining last night that I didn't want to wait until Summer for the next get-together! I guess it pays to whine!

)

Cindy - I love those pictures! A couple of them had a pretty high "AWWWWW!" Factor, and "The End" was hilarious! Leave it to the DIS Nuts! :joker:

Erin, what a horrible thing to come home to. I'm glad no one was there to get hurt and that not too much was taken. But still, what a feeling of violation that must be. I hope they catch the crook that broke in.

Oh my! I'm so sorry. That's awful to realize someone was in your house, touching your things. I do hope there will be a way to catch the ones who did this, and when they do, the law will give them more than a slap on the write. Even if they broke in and took nothing I would want the book thrown at them.

I'm glad they didn't break in while you were in the house and hurt someone.

Not I.

I thought that Ryan (Chris' son) was a little sweet on Deanna but Cameron informed me that he thinks Deanna was a bit sweet on Ryan.

But the deciding factor is--was Cameron jealous that Deanna was a bit sweet on Ryan? :rotfl2:
