:surfweb: Good morning everyone,

As we begin our (seemingly) never ending odyssey towards the decks of the Disney Wonder and SSMC06 we come one day closer to our goal. To reach this goal we endeavor ourselves to fill the day with the ranting, ravings, (in some cases outright droolings for the poor employees of FedEx and Hooters). We will extol well our talents for scrap booking, our seemingly endless knowledge of cinema, and just getting through the trials and tribulations of suburbia. We share our joys and sadly our heartaches, knowing that through this portal there are other wandering tribes of mousekateers who will join together in support and cheer.

BUT WAIT, tribes people (PC) there is soft glow coming from the south east (N28o22’38.24” W81o32’10.75” for the technos, like myself). The glow brightens with each passing day, minute, hour & second (12d/8m/59h/59s) we gravitate towards it like moths to a candle, where our pocket book and wallet burst with childish bliss in the pyre. Our quest to leave reality behind for carrot cake, crème brule, begets and Mickey bars ends soon, why just in the time it taken to read this we are 3 minutes closer.

So I bid you well greetings fellow tribes people and give hopes that your trail today will be less stressful, and that a smile will cross your face and the theme song to It’s a Small World will pass your lips at least once today.
Love, love, love it, Curt!!!

Gail those are great pages. I would really like to start scrapbooking after the cruise but I think I am going to do digital scrapbooking. I have found some sites and just have to figure it all out. Tom is getting really good using photoshop so he could help me. It just seems like there is not enough time in the day.

In the immortal words of another philosopher, Socrates, “I drank what????” In my case Moutain Dew, my caffine of choice.

I'm packing up the car this afternoon and I'm leaving in the wee hours of Wednesday morning so I will try and check in on you kids while I'm on my road trip down to WDW by way of DE, NJ, and VA. :drive:

See ya soon!

Amy & Diana told us about them after last years cruise and Amy organized the swap. A circle journal is a small scrapbook that gets passed around to a circle of friends. You start out your own book by doing the intro, sign-in pages, theme instructions and the first spread. Then it goes round robin to everyone else in the group to do a spread in your theme (last year for example a number of us did Magical Memories or a take-off on that theme). When you get it back you have a book filled with great pages and memories done by your friends.

The SSMC05 circle journal exchange will be done at the Saturday DIS meet. I think I can speak for everyone involved in saying we had a great time with it and we look forward to doing one for SSMC06 with even more friends involved.

Does it require an invitation or can anyone join in? Is there a sign-up sheet that you all have? How do we go about getting involved?

Rochelle

Of course, I can't imagine there'd be a problem. I told DH he should wear sandals too but I dont think he is. He said he doesn't have any:confused3

I have nice sandals that I wore with socks on my Carnival cruise in September. I did it for the same reason, it was one less pair of shows to pack, since I was already bringing dress shows for formal night.

Hi Rochelle - I'll be organizing the Circle Journal again this year. I won't be taking sign-ups until after this cruise. Then, we won't make our first mailing until after the holidays, probably early January. Keep your eyes posted just after the cruise right here on this thread.

Thanks! I didn't think I could find anything else to be excited about on this cruise, but I love to scrap! I would love to see some of the '05 books to get some ideas.

Are you going to be at the Beach Club DIS meet on Saturday at 3pm? If so, we'll all be there with our SSMC05 circle journals, because we're all going to get our original ones back on Saturday.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Mary has used some sort of scrapbooking program that she did on the computer. I thought one of the books I saw of hers was done on the computer. It was really nice. John has signed up with some sites that he gets all kinds of info for fonts, clip art etc. We call it "His Girls Club" that he belongs to.

No, my DD15's Homecoming Dance is Saturday night, so we can't fly in until Sunday morning.
