Looks like I'm here all by myself. My dd is flying home tomorrow morning from Arizona and I'm the lucky one who gets to pick her up from the airport. Her flight gets in at 5:05 AM. Since she will have to go and pick up her luggage that means I can get away with leaving the house at 4:30 AM and be there by the time she gets out of baggage pick up.

Since I need to be up in about 4 hours I guess the smart thing would be to go to bed.

Wow, I can't keep up. We have dial-up at home so it's very slow and i can't always get on at work.

Just wanted to let you know I have the bumper stickers ready and wanted to see is anyone needed them prior to the cruise meet on Saturday the 21st. If you do please pm me your information and I will send it out as soon as I get them. Also the big one for the bus my brother change it a little and I will post it when it is complete. He changed the words to read follow us... We're going on the. Instead of Me and I.

I'm sure lots has happened since the last time I was caught up can someone give me an update?

We got our Picture on Tuesday, our docs on Thursday and Today we got the park tickets we ordered thru the GM test track VIP lounge last Tuesday.

Has there been any word from DVC since email #4. I spoke to DVC a couple of weeks ago and he told me he only new about the email when he received them also. So hopefully DVC is learking on the boards and will get that email out to us soon.

Amanda

I forgot to tell you all what I'm doing tonight. I'm sure it will come as a big surprise to some of you. I signed up for a scrapbook class. :woohoo: We are doing a 20 page 8x8 DISNEY album. :woohoo: How cool is that? (Wow Mary, I haven't used your phrase in a long time :) )The class is from 6 -10, hopefully I will get it all done.

Off to take the kids to catechism - it's my week to drive for the carpool. Keep the posts to under 500!
Thats something I want to do...I have never scrapbooked before, and would love to learn how...I think after the cruise I will sign up for one!!

Wow, I'm gone for the day and I had like 15 pages to catch up on!!

Thanks to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers, pixiedust: and :grouphug: . We do appreciate them so much. Bruce took Penny a little while ago. I'm really not sure what Emma understands, she had tears in her eyes when we said say goodbye and she wasn't coming back, but I was crying too, so who knows. I'm sure she'll ask for Penny a million times. I have some cleaning to do, get rid of the beds and bowls and toys. I just need it all gone right now.
Too sad Diana...Pd and prayers for you!

I still have some outlining and brads to add to those pages, now I just need to print some pictures to add to the pages.

Gail, your pages look awesome!! I can't believe the pages weren't pre-cut and there were 20 of them for 4 hours! :faint:

So tell me what do you do with the crystal lacquer stuff and where do you put it? :confused3

Our pirate outfits are super easy and were super cheap. We have long black skirts for myself and the girls and then my mom made Chris a pair of basic black pants that we cut jagged on the bottom. Then, I took plain white t-shirts and cut the sleeves and bottoms jagged and we tied a long red sash around the waist. Instant pirate-type costumes. I was going to cut up the neck of the t-shirts and then get some leather cord to "lace" up the front "V". Does that make any sense? But I didn't have time to do it last year. Maybe I'll try to get that done before we leave this year.

That is essentially what I have done except I make a red vest from a tshirt by cutting the sleeves off a tshirt and up the front of the shirt. I didn't think to do it as a girls version though with the skirt. I guess that could work for me as well. Thanks you may have solved my problem...cheaply too :cool1:

Saw him on the 11 night. He's now in charge of the dining for the staff. I think he told us he was leaving for vacation soon so it's possible he might not be on our cruise.

How is it that you all seem to know the names of employees!:confused3 I've cruised three times and don't know one employees name...go figure.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Today's tip is to help you stay healthy on the cruise. You've all heard of Norwalk - some of us more than we'd like. :) While there hasn't been a Norwalk outbreak recently but the lessons learned from it can help us all.

The key? Wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands! Seems simple but it is amazing how many people don't do it.

So here's your tip to make sure you and your child are washing long enough. Water, soap, start rubbing and then sing "Happy Birthday". Yep by the time you sing the birthday song you've rubbed long enough to get rid of those germs then rince and dry.

So "happy birthday" and here's to a great germ-free cruise!

Gail,
Your pages are terrific! I would love to do something like that here. Do you mind if I ask how much a class like that costs? Do they supply everything or did you have to bring your own stuff?
I reorganized my craft studio yesterday (it really only needed a little putting away of things) and I made a drawer in my desk for scrapbook materials. I know y'all are laughing...how can I ever keep it to one drawer! I'm gonna try though and since it all seems to cost so much that will be the deterent, LOL. I have already collected a few sissors from other projects I've done, had glue sticks and glue too. So it's just paper and stickers that go in that drawer. I DO however have the one plastic envelope that is NOT in the drawer that holds the 12" papers. The drawer is too small.

Well, like others here it's off to work for me today....which means mega catch up tonight...and Gilmore Girls! Have a good one everyone!

Gail your pages look great! I hope you join in the circle journal after this cruise!

Thanks! I was a cutting fool last night! The crystal lacquar goes by another name that you might be familiar with, but for the life of me I can't remember it. I'm going to use it to outline some letters and things giving it a 3 D look. The girl at the store used it on some stickers and it gave a glossy look to the sticker. I think instead of just brads I might go back over to the store and get some of the flower thingys and use them at the base of the ribbons. Would that look ok?

Total for class fee and materials was $36. That included a black 8x8 album with a Mickey face outline on the front, 10 plastic insert pages (is that what they are called). Also, they included the brads, ribbon, some cardstock and a book of Disney paper, alphabets and borders, tags and things. I brought my own scissors, trimmer and adhesive. It was alot of fun.

How am I ever going to get us packed and ready for the pick-up on Saturday if y'all keep chatting so much?
:rotfl2: Have you looked at your post count? :surfweb:

You mean those little paper flowers that come in the milk bottles? Where the ribbon meets the paper? If yes, that would look really cute.

I think $36 is a good deal especially since it included the album. I love that paper and I haven't seen it before.

Gail that sounds like the album i picked up to use with the next circle journal. I think that is a great price for not only the album but the other supplies and the class.
