Ok, whew. Long day (seems like I say that everyday) No way I'll catch up with today's posts. Congrats to the milestone snaggers. Oops, sorry, Mary, I thought you were talking the THREAD'S 20,000 mark!! :) My bad.

Here's some pictures from the day.

Here's Nick's action shot:

Here's KT's action shot:
IMG_3711.jpg

Here's a picture of the two of them with their boxes stuffed (look at KT's box...so stuffed it's bursting open!)
IMG_3713.jpg

Here's them with all of their stuff nicely packaged. Yes, all three wardrobes are filled as is the big bag!! They each got a bear and they helped me with a bit of my Christmas shopping...the bear in the middle is for my great nephew! Thanks, kids! :)
IMG_3716.jpg

They got every thing on their list. Actually, they way it was timed out in our heads it worked out perfectly. Nick got to his potential stopping point right at 45 seconds. KT did have about 6 seconds left once she got everything she wanted, so she just grabbed some more of the shirts and skirts. :) The BAB people were really sweet. Took polaroids and also printed us out about 10 digital pictures in 5x7! The kids got T-shirts too!! Of course, walking through Easton with THREE wardrobes, THREE stuffed bears and an overfull bag made them look like spoiled brats. You wouldn't believe the looks we got!!! :earseek:

School House Rock was good. For high schoolers they did a great job. Could have been a little louder, luckily I already knew all the words (our local children's theater did it last year and we saw it twice, watched the DVD's endlessly, and have it on the iPod)

Here's the rundown of songs they did:
Verb: That's What's Happening
A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing
Three is a Magic Number
Mother Necessity
Sufferin' Till SUffrage
Lolly, Lolly, Lolly
Unpack your Adjectives
Just a Bill
The Preamble
Ready or Not, Here I Come
Circulation
Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla
Figure 8
Zero, My Hero
Conjunction Junction
Melting Pot
Elbow Room
Interplanet Janet
Interjections
The Tale of Mr. Morton

(in Interplanet Janet I was wondering how they'd handle Pluto's demotion to a dwarf planet.....after the sung line of "And Pluto, little Pluto is the smallest planet of them all" they said "well, not anymore!!!" :lmao: )

Congratulations to KT, Nick and Karen! Looks like the plan worked. I recently found out there is a BAB at a local mall. I'd never seen one before. They are amazing!

Finally caught up. We got our docs last night. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I can't believe that in two weeks from now we will be at Fantasmic. :goodvibes

The girls have their first real meet tomorrow. We have to be up at 5 AM to get there on time. I think I am going to be very tired tomorrow. Should be fun for them once they are really awake. I spent two hours today cleaning the inside of my car. I have no idea what was under the girls seats but it was really gross. :confused3

I hope the meet goes well. I remember those days of getting up before dawn for travel hockey.

Amy - Hope your day goes well and all the little girls enjoy being real princesses for a few hours.

oooohhhh, sounds romantic!!! Hope you had a great night!!!

Gail - Tom laughed when I told him what you said.

We had a nice, quiet night. Tom even built a fire! It was very romantic! The funny thing is that I realized what day it was and told Tom we met 25 years ago on the Saturday night of Columbus day weekend. We've come a long way in 25 years!

I went to Target tonight, costume shopping...no costume but they had lots of scrapbooking stuff. For $1 each I got a template for rectangles and one for circles. A flower punch and some brads. Now I have another question. Has anyone use the Fiskars shape cutter? Can you use it with any template or does it have to be a fiskars template? OY!

Ilene - I can't answer your question about Fiskars but here is a suggestion for a pirate costume . . . I bought a peasant blouse at Filene's Basement at the South Shore Plaza. They had a whole bunch a week or two ago. I then bought a pair of capris and a pirate scarf. I did this just in case the outfit (that the woman I work with has for me) doesn't fit. There is also a new Halloween shop at the Dedham Plaza where Buck a Book used to be. It's across the road from Best Buy and TGI Fridays. They had some neat costumes. We stopped in there after going to DSW yesterday. They have stuff for men and women.

I have to take a minute to brag on my daughter's high school band. Today was their first competition of the year and they received all 1's across the board! They were so excited! This is only the second year our school has been open so we only have freshman-junior students. They work hard and it really paid off today! We'll find out on Monday if they were voted one of the top 5 bands of the day. We compete again next Saturday, then again on the Wednesday we are on the cruise. I hated that they scheduled the UIL competition that day, I guess someone forgot to call to check with me first

:cheer2: That's awesome! It's too bad that they won't be able to compete due to being on the cruise.

GREAT NEWS!

My sister, Debbie, got her test results back late yesterday and everything looks good with her heart! The doctor said she needs to definitely go on this cruise and enjoy! So she is coming! thanks everyone for sending pixie dust her way. She is now going to be able to enjoy her 1st cruise ever on the best cruise line!

This is awesome news! I think every doctor should prescribe a cruise at least once per year! :sail:

Ok, so I've spent the evening going through all the travel papers, printing reservations, filling the online cruise docs finally, geting pack list in order, printing park hours, adrs, etc. Then I all of a sudden realize that I haven't gotten my Magical Express tags!! :scared1: I'm freaking out! I know I filled out the form online on the DVC website!! So I went in, filled it in again and I'm hoping they are open on Monday so I can call and confirm. It says 10 days before departure, so I think I'm ok, I can't believe I didn't realize it sooner! :badpc:
Glad you realized now that you didn't have your ME tags. There should still be plenty of time.

I hope you enjoy WICKED! I've heard really good things about it.
I loved Wicked. We got to see it here when it came to Cleveland this past season.

I believe so. Make your requests ahead of time.

I also wanted to say thank you to everyone for reassuring me that my nervousness in meeting everyone is unfounded and that pretty much everyone is a little nervous. I really can't wait! DH is quiet but he can't wait either..he started studying trivia today, LOL.

Tom was the first one to answer a question correctly at one of the Member Homecoming events a few years ago. I believe he received a pin and lanyard. He was so excited that you would've thought he won a trip!! :rotfl:

WICKED was Fabulous!

Highly recommed anybody go to see it! I was told not to read the book until after seeing the production.

Gotta find the CD and listen to it today!

Happy Birthday to Cameron!

Congratulations to Everybody else! Still too tired! Not used to staying up so late!LOL

My guess for today

BIG STORM

Whew! I'm finally caught up. Yesterday was a crazy day and I was so wiped I fell asleep at 7 pm (which is why I'm now up posting at midnight) :)

The plan was to meet some old friends from High School for lunch and a house tour. We do this every year usually back in my old neighborhood with a showcase house. They weren't doing it this year so one of the women suggest a museum house north of me. One of the women couldn't make it so there would just be three of us. The plan was to meet at 11:30. Should work out fine to be home in time for dinner with the in-laws (more on that later). We get home from grocery shopping and there is a message on the machine from my friend Karen saying they will be running late and won't get there until 12 because she has to drop her daughter off somewhere first. So I call her back and say fine but the tour hours are 1 pm and 3 pm and I don't think we'll make the first and I really can't stay for the second. But we agree to meet for lunch and then they will go on to the museum on their own. No big deal.

I had some errands to run for the cruise (needed new ink cartirdges, envelopes and labels for the button/navigator packets). Was able to stop at a Best Buy before lunch but only go the ink cartridges. So I get to the resturant at 11:58. No sign of them, not a surprise as Karen is always late. It is a nice day, there is a bench outside, I sit and wait. At 12:30 still no sign so I call Mark to see if he heard from them. Nope! They finally show up at 12:45! Now I love both of these women dearly but they both still live in the 1950's. No cell phones, no cable tv, one doesn't even drive! I won't even bother trying to explain the looks I get from them when I try and explain the DIS and this group!!!!!! Still we have an enjoyable lunch and I'm back headed home after running the last of my errands.

I get home to find Mark has talked to MIL and FIL and informed them we are going out to eat (can't cook here as the dining room table is full of travel stuff and thought FIL deserved better than just pizza for his birthday dinner). Haven't heard from BIL yet. Mark thinks to check his work e-mail and sure enough there is an e-mail from BIL saying they will be over at 5 but need to leave by 7. I suggest that he call BIL and tell them to meet us at the resturant. He tries to call but there is no answer at the house and the cell goes right into voice mail. MIL and FIL show up and inform us that BIL and his wife won't be coming as they don't like where we are going to eat. :confused3 Ok the whole reason we waited until this weeked was because they were out of town last weekend and FIL's birthday was this past Thursday.

So off we go for a nice meal at Macaroni Grill which I knew my MIL would now hate because her baby boy said he didn't like it. Got some major major guilt over dinner about our trip and how much MIL wishes she was coming with us. They are instead going out to CA to see her Brother. They also asked us what our plans are for next year. We kept mum about Hawaii and said we were just waiting to see what DVC had to offer (which is the truth). The one really good thing that came out of the evening is that since they get back from CA two days before we leave for WDW they gave us our anniversary present last night. Actually we will get it on the cruise as they (along with BIL and his wife) gave us a room credit. Nice! Of course even then MIL had to bring up during dinner that when she called the girl on the phone said "It's been a while since you sailed with us". Yep they haven't sailed on DCL since we all went in 2003.

So not has crazy a day as Cindy had but still exausting. I'm heading back to bed now. Sunday will be Mass, lots of laundry, updating my packing spreadsheet and generally getting things ready for the trip. I can't wait for our road trip and to see all of you!

Mary - sounds like a difficult day. Just think . . . you will be on board the Wonder in two short weeks with thousands of people who "understand" your enthusiasm of Disney. Well, at least all of us on this thread understand! :thumbsup2

Mary, at least you got Macaroni Grill out of the day ;) . Remember last year when you, Mark, Gary & I went there and we, unknown to each other, were planning on ordering the same exact thing? :teeth:

Maybe we should have traded outing for yesterday. I would have had no problem dealing with your inlaws and I suspect you could have dealt with my unruly boys. It's so much easier when there isn't a personal factor involved. But then again, we would have had to deal with the fallout. :rotfl2:

Well, party day is here and I have a few more things to do around the house. Thankfully, the party isn't until 1pm. I sure hope that Emily is happy with this party. Now I remember why next year I should have the party somewhere else!!!

I hope the party goes well. Don't forget to take a moment to breath!

Karen, That is a fantastic haul that KT and Nick managed. Great job! Congratulations! I now have BaB envy...
