Hey everyone. I'm at the Apple Store. Just finished the BAB shopping spree. The kids ended up with over $338 worth of stuff!!!! WOW. Will post pictures when I get home. :)

And, yes, they did somewhat rearrange the store since Thursday but they let us come in 15 minutes early to look around and said we could move things to lower shelves if we needed to. So we did....and put things *together* too. :)

Off to have more fun. Schoolhouse Rock LIVE! at 2:00 :)
WOW, that's awesome, Karen!!!!!

Say ya to da UP eh? Youknow I went to dat NMU school up dere in Marquette. Dem crazy college kids and da wing nuts from KI out in Gwinn. Boy do de know how to have fun, and I not just talkin bout drinkin and hanging out in de sowna.

Would you believe I still have a cassette of DaYoopers around here somewhere. I loved it up there. A fraternity brother of mine, his family owns the Gogebic Lodge. Wow what a couple of summers that was...

Hey der, Curt. Ya, went to da NMU too and am an alum!

Grew up in Houghton, made my way down 41 to Marquette and parked it there for my college years (Music Education). Realized shortly thereafter that I really HATE snow and cold so what did I do? Moved to the Twin Cities - well, that was a big DUH cuz while there wasn't as much snow, the bitter cold of the winter forced me to move to Los Angeles (well, the job offer helped, too!) Been out here 25 years this past summer and, sorry if anyone gets offended, I will not be returning to the U.P.! Went back for the folks 50th, but realized that the state bird, the robin, had been usurped AGAIN by the mosquito. Also, I NEED my 100+ temp with no humidity!!!! I'm still thawing out from my VERY formative years.

Michael

Thanks. I wonder what happens if they don't show up before we leave. It'll drive me crazy if that happens!
Robin..Don't think that way...They will be there soon!!! :sunny:

So true. And I'm lucky because I happen to have a jeweler I know and trust living under the same roof. ;)

Thats always a good thing...A very close friend of mine is a jeweler...I went to see him last week and hes making me a tinkerbell charm bracelet...he promised it to me before the cruise.

I think I'm finally all caught up for the day. I wonder how many pages I'll have to wade through tomorrow. I'm hitting the hay now cuz the trim guys are supposed to show up at 7:30 in the morning to finish up their part. I can't wait until this work is done, unfortunately it looks like not until after we get back from the cruise.

Good Luck on the construction!!!

Ok, I just had to respond to this. The girls' bathroom is a Mickey Mouse themed bathroom and I have a wood Mickey wall hanging on the wall above the toilet. Well, Chris used to say that he had a hard time using that bathroom because Mickey is staring at him going to the bathroom. :rotfl2: Well, since our master bath is STILL being remodeled, he's forced to use the other bathroom. And, he just has to deal with Mickey "looking" at him. :rotfl2:
Thats too funny...why do guys have problems with pictures in the bathroom?

Speaking about shyness...OK here's the thing. I feel like if say I see Diana Lyn and go up to her and say "Hi Diana, I'm Ilene nice to meet you" She'll be like um yeah, Hi but not really know who I am. Then I'll feel stupid. So I hope I've made enough of a name for myself here so that when I do get up enough guts to introduce myself that won't happen. Once I get talking to people I'm fine but it's that initial intro that sometimes becomes overwhelming  And it's a little more so because so many of you already know each other and will be all huggy and stuff :goodvibes I hope I can join in on your fun.

We all have a love in common...so its easy for us to seem like we know each other...The Love of Disney!!!

My problem will be remembering everyone's REAL names. If you came up to me and introduced yourself as Scratch42, I'd say Hey, it's nice to meet you. If you came up and said, Hi, I'm Janet, I'd think, ok, I know that name, but who are they again.

And, I'm already questioning whether I got your name right?!?!??!

Thats too funny...whenever I post a reply with a name...I'm worried if the name is correct... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Believe it or not I am a newbie here too! I am excited to meet everyone!

I'll know who you are! It's weird because you are out of your element. When I went up to Connie at SSR in August, I said hi I'm Diana from the DIS, she starts talking to me, then all of a sudden she goes--wait are you Diana Lyn!! :rotfl2: It took a minute to click, but she eventually knew exactly who I was!

Like Amy, my girls were my DIS badge last cruise!

Talking about shyness, last year we stayed at POR pre-cruise. We were running late for the DIS meet and Bon Voyage party, the boat was taking forever so I was in high gear, all stressed about being late....we get to DTD, I high tailed it over to where we were meeting and then all of a sudden I froze in my tracks--I've never met these people. I'm really shy. I started to panic.....I'm now literally feet away from the huge group about to hyperventilate. :rotfl2: Surely, me the shyest person in all the world can't walk up to this giant group of people!! We were like 30 minutes late. Then all of a sudden Julie is right in front of me talking like she's known me forever! I was ok after that. But for a bried moment that inner voice was saying "RUN!! No one has seen you yet!! You can run and they won't even know you were here!" I almost chickened out of the DIS meet! :lmao: I'm really glad I didn't! :goodvibes

Thats too funny...I have never had that problem...I love to meet new people and talk...but alot of times I find myself not knowing what to say to the person...Kind of like are they going to be bored with me??

:hourglass Time is slipping away! Still have a lot to do! I just found out my work network is down until 7pm tonight so it looks like I can't finish the 2007 budget until tomorrow so I guess Tom and I have the day to ourselves!

Got some sad news yesterday. My best friend who lives in FL called to let me know her ex-husband (my cousin) past away. He died of liver failure. He had a liver transplant 3 years ago and it started failing about 1.5 years ago and unfortunately found out six months ago he wasn't a candidate for another transplant. He is leaving behind two boys (sophomore and senior in high school). They are both taking this very hard. Even though they have had a few months to prepare it's still difficult!

We are all waiting to find out what his new wife is going to do for arrangements. She is thinking about having a service here in MA only so if this happens, my friend and the boys will fly up and stay with Tom and I. His wife said she wants him to be where the rest of his family is buried. It's going to be a crazy week!

Very sad news indeed! I am sorry for your loss.

That's a great idea! And what a reminder of a great time with friends.

We did something like that for our wedding. Instead of a sign-in book that would be shoved away somewhere never to be seen again, we had everyone sign the mat for our Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract). It's hanging in our bedroom and I absolutely love it! It's one of the few non-Disney pieces we have hanging on our walls.

Thats beautiful!

Cindy - funny story. Tom doesn't post here but lurks over my shoulder or I'll read him a post or ask him to come look at something. Well, last night he said I see these boys all the time. By the time we get to the ship I'm going to say, "Hey, I know you two!" and they'll probably run away thinking who is this strange man! I started to laugh but thought he's probably right! He sees your boys in your posts all the time and knows them by sight like many of us do but they'll probably be like - who are all these people!! :rotfl:
I felt the same way last year about Diana's and Amy's girls!!

Thats excellent news...And very cool that the store allowed you to come in early and move items around...made it a little easier on the kids...Did they get their must haves?
