Mary - I just got a chance to look at the Dis Navigator. It looks Totaly Awesome!!! :smokin: I would never have been able to come up with anything like that even if I tried.

Thank you! Somehow I didn't see that list. I was thinking I was all set being on the Gallery list.

Thanks so much for doing all of this! :goodvibes
No problem at all!!! We just don't want to leave any children out, so I'll be posting several times for the next week or so!!!

Yea!! The gifts are in!!! :cheer2:
Yeah, but I haven't opened them yet. I better do that tonight, since Julie's had so many problems with her bags.

I would bet that if it arrives damaged, that DVC would replace it for you.

When we added on at SSR, they were giving out the Sleeping Beauty lithos -- framed and all. When we checked out, the bell services guy actually offered to have it shipped to us, rather than us struggle to get it home in one piece. We accepted and it arrived about a week later. We didn't even have to open it to hear all the broken glass inside :( . I called our guide, and it was a bit of a issue because they were limited edition to get us a new one but they did. I had to send back the broken one (I guess as proof) but all I had to do was affix a label that came in the mail to me and they arranged the pickup at the house and everything.

You can bet when the second one arrived, it was well protected and in one piece. :thumbsup2

I figured they would be good about it. My rep has always been great on helping us out but once it's here I want it to be perfect rather then have to wait for a possible replacement. Ya know.

I agree better safe then sorry. Keeping my fingers crossed it's what we wanted and everything looks ok.

Well my mom called today and my parents got ther giclee picture today. My mom said it came regular mail.
I hope they don't deliver on Wednesday because it's supposed to rain and my postman would just leave it on my deck and it would get soaked. My postman doesn't use his brain sometimes. Rather then put a pkg near my door or by my gas grill where it will be harder to see he sticks it smack dab in the middle at the top of my stairs as if to say "Here I am, come take me".
It drives me nuts!!!
Hmmm, regular mail, huh?? I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open. Thankfully, it's supposed to be dry here for the next week.

Excuse me while I brag a moment!

Walker has strugged with reading and phonics for as long as I can remember. We've been working with a tutor to try and get him up to speed but not with much luck. Walker will work math problems until there is no end, but usually all I have to do is mention the word reading to him, and he gets antsy and finds 1000 excuses to to why we should do something else.

We've read to our kids since they were babies and both of them would sit all night long listening to us read to them. But, with Walker, it's been like pulling teeth to get him to read.

So, tonight he brings home a form for required reading for the month of October. He needs to read 10 books minimum, 20 books for extra credit. So, here I am, thinking, we'll struggle through 1 book and call it a night.

:cheer2: Three books later, Walker is torn between continuing to read or going with Cameron to Boy Scouts so he can sit with Gary in the hallway and read his Tiger Cub book. I can't believe my eyes or my ears....Walker read all three with very little help from me. These were new books that he hasn't tried to read before and more importantly, books we haven't read to him. I don't know what his teachers have done with him at school, but this turn around today is amazing!

Parent/Teacher conferences are Thursday night ---- you can bet this will be a positive discussion between me & his teachers. I just might shoot them an email right now while it's fresh in my mind and they can hear my excitement!

In the end, Walker chose to go with Cameron & Gary, so now the house is quiet. Time for me to spruce up the place before the hustle and bustle of nighttime routine & morning comes.

Woo Hoo Walker!!!! Way to go.

Has he read any of the Magic Tree House Series by Mary Pope Osborne?
Nick Loves those books. Even thought they are now below his reading abilities he loves the series so much he has to have the new book whenever they come out. The last one he picked up he read the whole thing in like an hour.
My boy is a little different. Rather then ask to go to the toy store he wants to go to the book store.

Cindy-

This is great. I am sure Walker is extremely proud of himself too! Nick has a reading challenge for the month of October as well. He must read to me for 30 minutes each night. We went to the library tonight so he could pick out some more books. I was trying to get him to get some easier books but he pushes himself so hard he would not do it. I do not know if your schools do the AR program but nick is in 2.0 - 2.9 in his score so of course he wants to get the 2.6 and 2.7 books.... I was thinking 2.2 for the practice and repetition of some easier words for more confidence. Maybe next week.

Stacy,

My Nick loves the Magic Tree House series too. I acually like that story line as well. Actually I prefer Junie B Jones.

Okay....so I've been out of town, and I'm trying to catch up and this reminded me of something my neice said once. It was Easter, and we were eating hard boiled eggs and she told her brother, who would only eat the white...."Eat the yellow part! That's the good part! That's the YOGURT!"

Welcome home Gail - we've missed you! Mary (iluvdisney) was asking about you in chat. She leaves for FL on the 10th and wanted to make sure you knew.

Not feeling very good today so I'm staying home. Must have some type of stomach bug because I was up every hour on the hour last night. No sleep and just feeling blech! Hopefully it will pass soon.

Mary - hope you are feeling better! pixiedust:
