Hi there everyone.... I have been Missing in Action to this thread for a while and I feel so lost... :guilty: I have been on all the Disney Wedding Websites working on getting ready for my January WDW wedding and I lost site of the fact that the DVC cruise was this soon. Planning goes into full swing about 4 monthes out so between a planning session at WDW and revising first Budget drafts, I have been a bit lost in that world. I wanted to pop in and say Hi to everyone and that I can't wait to get the cruise started in 3 weeks. I relized the other day that we have not gotten our Docs yet, but I guess that we can expect them anyday. We are already planning our next cruise after that and it will be a 3 day on Jan. 18, 2007 as part of our Honeymoon... Disneymoon I should say since it is 2 days at AKL and then off to get on the Wonder.... I have soooo much to look forward to in the next few monthes... But I won't say all this doesn't come with it's stresses. Weddings bring Family drama is all that I have heard and boy has that been true for this wedding... OH well comes with it all I guess.... But once again Hello and I can't wait to meet you all on my first members cruise.... :woohoo:
Welcome back to the group, Jennifer!! You've been missed!!! Only 3 more weeks to some relaxation!!!

Interesting looking resort. Will prob stay there but not interested in buying there. We want our 80 points from BCV. Might be talked out of our 150 at HH (never stayed there - prob don't know what we are missing) but DEFFINATELY want more at BCV.

A Whole post without mentioning baseball!!

Oh the horror!!! I wish I could snag up your Hilton Head points as you truly don't know what your missing.

It's not a vacation anything like WDW --- so very different. We actually kick back and relax for the weeks we spend there.

Ok everyone!! I'm finally caught up from being gone for just 3 days. And, in the process, I've helped add to the 20,000 post goal. My guess is that we'll be there by the end of the week.

I'm going to work on laundry and cleaning up around here. Then, I need to work on Emily's birthday party festivities for next Sunday. Time is fleeting and I have SO much to do!!!

Hey everyone, I'm Stitch's friend who's going on this our first member cruise. Just want everyone to know that I am so not technically inclined and finally have just taken the plunge, all the stars have lined up, remembered our password and yes it looks like i have learned how to post something. Reading through all the postings has been great. I can't wait to meet you all on board. I do have a lot of questions that i hope to be fielding on this sight. One question i'd like help with is that we are looking at float, snorkel and bike rental for the island and i'm just wondering if you all think that's a good idea to sign up for? I mean yes it looks like the kids have their own activities but I would hope My husband and I can tear them away for some family time. OK here goes ...I'm submitting my first post. Hope it gets there!

:welcome:

Ok - hate to be a PITA but I just want to make sure I have all these times right. I'm done with the layout on the navigator and here is what I have. Please give me any changes today or tomorrow at the lates (cut-off for members is still today but I can make changes to the calendar tomorrow).

Dis party bus - meet at the Beach Club (outside enterence) at 8:30 Sunday morning. Where do we want to meet on Thursday? Promonade Lounge??

Wishes Firesworks Cruise - Friday October 27th - meet at the Contemporary dock at 8:00 pm (Roxann I also have a version that says 7:45 so I'm not sure which is right).

Did I miss anything??????? Get anything wrong??????

Wishes cruise 8:00 pm

I think the promenade lounge would be a great place to meet Thursday morning for the bus back. Meet right after breakfast and start heading off the ship by 9:00 or so. The bus is supposed to pick us up by 9:30 am. This would give people time to eat, get off the ship, get their luggage and meet at the bus pick up area (to be determined).

Agreed! I wish we had HHI points. We have been three times. We have 300 @ OKW and 220 @ SSR. I have 6 2006 points left and have borrowed into 2007. I don't think we could ever own enough points. We use weekend points, etc. because it takes so long to fly to WDW that we always stay for at least a week or more.

Thanks Roxann. I figured you must have told me 8 pm but wanted to be sure.

Kind of a long story that ends with me taking the second job as a per diem job for the time being. I'm keeping my current job (40hrs) at half the pay which may be a dumb move but it's a sure bet (I've been there 10yrs) instead of gambling on not being happy at the new place. The per diem option gives me a chance to sample it before committing. I start Nov 6th.
Even working the little bit extra will help alot.

Good for you. What a great option to be able to test drive the job before you take it? 6 years ago, I left a job after being there for 10 years. It was the best move I ever made. I now love my new job. Great hours, great benes and much better pay! Sometimes you just have to take that leap! Good luck.

Chris

I have never been to CC, the cruise on the Magic that we were on was unable to stop there because the waves were too high. Is it possible to walk to Serenity Beach from the area where we dock? My mom and I want to have a nice liesurely stroll on the island if its not too hot, so I thought it might be fun to walk there. Also, its not just a "couples" area is it?

I need help. The girls have decided to dress up like Elizabeth for pirates night and for MNNSHP. The only problem is that we can only find the white dress and they both want the gold dress. :confused3 I can only find it in England and they only have one size 7-11. If anyone finds a dress like this please let me know. Thanks

You can walk to Serenity Bay, but it is a very long walk. You walk down the same runway that the tram takes. We did it on our first visit but now take the tram. If you really like walking and it isn't too hot I say go for it.

No Serenity Bay isn't just for couples. It is a great adults get away.

We've already been laying stuff out on my daughter's bed. Stuff that we won't need between now and the time we leave. It was easy just coming off a cruise, we just unpacked and put aside the stuff from one trip for the other trip.
I wish it were just a case of what to pack. But I'm still dealing with this house addition as well as the replacement of our damaged floor while we're gone. Not only do I have to pack for the 3 of us - David is horrible at packing so I just have him pull out what he wants to take - I also have to pack up the dining room and den and figure out where to put everything. Since the garage is still unusable and the spare bedrooms are already filled to capacity, I'm going crazy trying to come up with a plan for this. It doesn't sound so bad when written down, but every time I think about it/look around this place I start to lose my breath.

Hi there gang!

We are back from a fun and very, very wet Boy Scout Camporee!
I'm just going to try to get caught up. :surfweb:
I have no idea how many pages I have to read!
Hopefully I'll be done before bedtime!

Let's do a series of "what ifs" this time.

What if you only had one hour in any Disney park. What hour would you spend and what would you do?
I agree with Mary's answer. That last hour in Epcot to watch Illuminations. We usually end most evenings there.

What if you only had one hour on Castaway Cay. How would you spend it?
In the water playing with my family

What if you had the opportunity to go to a Disney park you've never been to before. Which one would you choose?Tokyo Disney. Just for a totally different Disney Experience.

What if you were given an unlimited fast pass but you could only use it in one park. Which park would you choose?
That's tough, but I would have to say Epcot. Nick & I really like Test Track & Mission Space and Jeff really likes the Maelstrom.

What if you were given 100 DVC points to any DVC property free of charge (you would have to pay dues). Which property would you pick and why?
I think maybe VWL.
