Morning everyone - I'm am back in reality land (home). Came home to a nasty storm that hit Michigan yesterday.
Looks like I have lots and lots of catching up to do - as much as I tried to read a bit when I was gone, I'll never know everything that was posted.
Hope all are well - :surfweb:

GOOD MORNING ! Welcome back I hope you had a relaxing and fun time.

Now wherea re the pics???

Squid

Good morning everyone!

Stacy - condolences to you and Jeff.

Mary - welcome home! Have fun catching up. Cindy is doing an early dining poll asking what time we want to try for. I think that is the most important thing going on right now.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

Fed ex came today. But Mike was expecting pool chemicals and so I didn't answer. Well, Mike just got home and said "do you realize there is a Fed ex letter out here addressed to KT?" HUH?

We opened it up....................

KT HAS WON A SHOPPING SPREE AT BUILD A BEAR WORKSHOP!!!!!!!!!!! SHE WILL HAVE 45 SECONDS TO STUFF AS MUCH "STUFF" AS SHE CAN INTO ONE OF THE BOXES YOU TAKE YOUR BEAR HOME IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHE'S ALLOWED TO INVITE ONE FRIEND. SHE IS TAKING NICK!!!!! :)

Of course, being the good mom that I am, I talked strategy. Usually KT and Nick could spend 30 minutes deciding on one outfit. I told them that just WON'T do. I told them they are going to have to grab stuff without thinking about it. Go for the good stuff that's easy to stuff in a box. Go for the things that will sell well on ebay (and they can keep the profits and take it to build a bear and buy what they want without rushing)

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How Neat!!
My Nick would probably love to win something like that.
I would just be afraid he would come home with a bunch of outfit and then would try to dress up the cats. Those poor furballs go thru a lot having to live in this house.

Important Dining Poll:

For anyone who may not go back and read previous pages.

For those of us who have decided to link with others from this thread for dining, I'm going to take a poll as to what rotation you would prefer so that I can note that to DCL.

Here are the options:

1. Triton's 5:30 This would be TAAP
2. Animator's 5:45 This would be APPT
3. Parrot Cay 6:00 This would be PTTA

4. I don't have a preference

If you could please post your preference here, I will pick up the results.

I don't want any hard feelings, so whichever rotation has the most votes is what I'm going to request.

Keep in mind this does not mean we will get this rotation, it's only a request.

Thanks.

And, the results so far.......:

#1 Tritons 5:30 ---- 1 (Stacy)
#2 Animators 5:45 ---- 5 (Jeff, Cheryl/Todd, Roxann, MaryJ, Erin)
#3 Parrot Cay 6:00 ---- 9 (Kevin/Unixadm, Gail, Mary/Mark, Diana, Julie, Chris (sanddune), Amy, AnnMarie (2002), Ilene )
#4 I don't care ---- 2 (Janet, Okwdreamin)

To keep things simple and fair, I am going to limit voting to 1 vote per family. I apologize for not thinking about that sooner, Todd & Mark.

I would really like to get the information to DCL by Friday, so by noon on Friday, I'm going to go with the majority of votes. I hope everyone understands.

Hmm wonder if there will be formal nights on the med cruises??? We really need to buy Matt a tux as we are going to a private event in Narnia that is formal in December and it seems he could use one. Any suggestions of good places other than suit shops?

Julie, I don't have any personal experience and Gary doesn't own a tux, but I believe I've heard JC Penney's carries tuxs. I have no idea of the quality, but it might be something to think about unless someone else has already given you a better suggestion.

I'm a little out of it this week. Jeff is in Long Island all week so it's been just me and the kiddo. I had a meeting at the school last night and we had scouts tonight. Worse part of this week is I got a call late last night from Jeff's sister saying his uncle passed away. We knew it was coming but thought he would make it a few more weeks (he had cancer and was going thru chemo). Well the Funeral is out by Philly Pa this Friday and
we will not be able to make it. Sorry for the downer.

Stacy, I'm so sorry. My sympathy to all of you.

Way cool :cool1: Congratulations, KT! :cool1:

I like your strategy. Did the kids understand the dash, grab and run concept?

Walker would SO love to do something like this. BaB is one of his favorite places to stop at the mall.

Welcome back, Mary.

Lots of talk about what everyone is wearing for dinner.

Voting is also going on for dining preference in which rotation. Votes are being taken until about noon tomorrow.

We had over 5 inches of rain at our house since Monday everything is saturated and water in a lot of ditches. The FD has been kind of busy and I have been going to quite a few meetings. Sorry about being a little less active but the next couple weeks will be real hectic around here. I work the FD today, 24 on the ambulance tomorrow then OT covering Harvest Days in Dwight on Sat. After that we are going to the friends and family sale at Michaels. Sunday FD. Monday 24 on the bulance. Tuesday Budget and Appropriations meeting and then Board of trustees meeting, my first ones that I HAVE to go to. Weds FD. Thurs 24 'bulance, Friday grandparent breakfast at our grandaughters school then setup for our annual FD chicken BBQ that will be ALL DAY Saturday (its our only fund raiser and we serve about 2700 chicken dinners in 7 hours) Sunday FD and cleanup from Saturday. I THINK I am off on Monday the 25th

YIKES it looks bad when I type it all out like that. :rolleyes1

Anyway I hope you all have great days today!

Squid

:faint: :faint: :faint: I see the time between now and the cruise is going to fly by for you too.

I've seen the pictures on the news of the flooding out your way. I hope it stays away from your area.

It looks like I'm talking to myself this morning. :hyper2:

I hope everyone has a great Thursday! Tonight we actually have nothing on our calendar, which is definately a treat. :dance3: Maybe I'll even make a real dinner for a change. That seems to happen less and less now that school has started.

Cameron starts his band lessons this afternoon. I'm sure we'll have dinner music as once the lessons start, the practice starts. Being he plays trombone, it's kind of hard to muffle so we all enjoy the music when he plays. ;)

Stacy, Sorry to hear about Jeff's uncle. It's never easy even when it's expected.

Karen I'm sure KT and Nick will have a blast at their shopping spree. Are you going to practice with them at home :thumbsup2

:cheer2: GO KT & NICK :cheer2:

Julie, John did buy his tux from JCPenney's. It's actually very nice. They had two types of jackets and the shirt, cummerbund, tie, cuff links come seperate. During the year they just have the black tie & cummerbund, but at Christmas they put out a red set.

Welcome home Mary! Hope you had a great trip! Sorry we couldn't have better weather for your arrival :guilty: I understand it's suppose to warm up a bit this weekend, but that could change too.

Hi Cindy - I'll vote no preference for myself and Karen (since she is on a 10 day cruise).

So, is there only a Pirate's theme so far announced by DVC for this member cruise?
Guess I'll have lots more reading to do later - I really should finish unpacking this morning.

On the way home from the airport, I had to stop by and see Christopher and he was in a photo mood - the first pic I took while he was saying "mmum-mum"

I was glad to see he remembered me - I thought he would - can you believe he's 6 months old already?

Mary he is adorable! He's getting so big! So what did you bring him back from Disneyland?
