I'm back from my weekend trip and have been trying to keep up with the chattiness here!!
Glad to hear you had a good time. Boy, I wish I had trips to WDW so close together. By the time we get back in October it will have been a full year.

I just bought one on ebay and got it yesterday. It really looks cool. I dont scrap a lot a home so I think it will be handy to take to a crop.

OMG I HAVE to have that!!

I just bought the Scrap Paper Scissors Organizer tote and it worked really well on the table at the crop.

Of course these people all brought shelving units to house their stuff in. I was amazed by how much stuff people brought. Alot of them were local, but still!

I'm back from my daughter drop off/ disney vacation. It was SO HOT! and rainy but we had some nice times. Spent mornings in the pool. Had some yummy food at Raglan Rd. BUT regular band wasn't there and at other disney restaurants menus had been "changed" due to THE MEAL PLAN. I'm writing a letter because that is just so unfair to those of us paying. We love the bread and tapinade at Tony's but they didn't have it due to "MP". We also went "off" disney once which we never do and had dinner at Citywalk's Margaritaville because dd really wanted to..it was really really good. Move in day at college went smoothly because she was moved in a day early as she is in a "big sister" program on campus. I lost half a tooth (molar) so I have to have that dealt with ASAP...no dental insurance (I just cancelled it in June :-(). But the worse part of the trip was going from BCV to PopC on Friday. THEY LOST MY RESSIES!! After 45min waiting to check in I get up there and they can't find my ressies. I even had my confirmation paper with me and showed first night paid. They had no availability and I was so angry, it was 10:30pm and I was tired from moving Michelle in, this was the last thing we needed. So they said they could put us up at Carribean Beach no extra cost to us(not our favorite but what can you do you have to sleep somewhere). Not the end of the story..xpress checkout..bill comes we are charged AP rate for Carribean NOT Pop. I call they give me a hassle, have to talk to Mgr. He says he has to call Pop mgrs to confirm I tell him to do whatever he needs to but that I'm NOT paying anymore than I would have at Pop as it was not my fault the ressie was lost...can you imagine!
I'm not going to even try to catch up here but if someone can summarize what I might have missed that would be nice. "Day off" to do laundry, billsa and go through the mail. Yeah right day off, LOL.
OMG, I would have been so pissed off with all that. Glad things worked out in the end though.

Saturday we bit the bullet and got a Town + Country van... RED! Now I can see it in the parking lot :rotfl2: Of course, one would rather plan for a new car, not be forced into buying one, but all in all, we did okay! Whew!!! Glad the old GEJO van died now and not the week before the member cruise!
Congrats on the new vehicle.

Enjoy it!

Cafe Press - huge thumbs up!!!

I don't know if this happens all the time, but since my shirt was so big I contacted CafePress to exchange it for the medium (thanks for the idea Cindy!) and also noted that the printing on the front was good, but not as good as on the back of the shirt. I received notice today that they are going to exchange my shirt for me at no charge and they expedited the shipping so that I get it as quickly as possible. How awesome is that???
Totally agree. When Ian's shirts came in without back design I called and they resent new ones - at their expense - right away. And they told me not to bother sending the original ones back, too. Awesome Customer Service!!!!

I'm starting to take after you, sis! I've been avoiding my mess since I got home Sunday night! My suitcases are still packed and sitting in the garage. I only took out some of the stuff I bought for the girls. And the coolest stickers I bought for the back of the car!

I took the girls to Chuck E Cheese for Emma's birthday and we met some friends there to celebrate. All in all, Emma had a great day. Last night I showed her all her birthday wishes here on the thread. She said, Happy Birthday to me?? Yup, they all say Happy Birthday Emma. She was thrilled!

I talked to my Grandfather yesterday. He lives on one of those barrier islands in Palm Beach. He had spent the day preparing for Ernesto and was just sitting and waiting. He got hit pretty hard twice last year because he also has a vacation home up in Vero. It was funny to hear him say, it's only going to be 70mph winds, that's a piece of cake to us now.

Here's a couple of pics of my new stickers:

Your grandfather is right, 70 mph winds isn't too much to worry about. Sure, it will bring us some heavy wind and rain, tree branches down, but a cat 1 is usually one that we don't evacuate for.

I love the stickers, where did you get them?

That's good for me to hear, Amy. DD (Dana) is still in Orlando, interning for Mickey. We know what to do for tornados around here, but we are clueless to what is a "really bad" hurricane or what to do to prepare for one.

OK. Here's my mini trip report!

We got in Thursday morning about 10am and made it over to the BW by 11:30 thanks to Magical Express. Miraculously, our room was ready. 4th floor studio right above the Brew Pub, not too far of a walk and awesome view. We headed over to Beaches and Cream for lunch. (that's #1 for those of you keeping track. ;) ) Then we walked over to Epcot to visit my favorite friend Figment, and ride Soarin. We went back to the room to make sure our luggage found it's way and then went back to Epcot so chicken me can right Mission Space. And I did---and I loved it!! I even think I'd be able to handle the spinny version because I didn't think the green team was intense at all. Test Track was closed b/c of the rain, so we hit the Living Seas and Soarin again, we ate dinner at Seasons in the Land before walking around WS before Illuminations. Walking back, we went to ESPN for some drinks.

Friday we had to pack up and move over to the YC. I was sad to leave BW. We stopped at the bakery for croissants and then hit AK. Everest was awesome, we rode 2 times!! It was hot and very crowded, so we only went on Kali River Rapids and Dinosaur before stopping at Flame Tree BBQ for lunch. We then went on to DTD, but b/c we were taking the bus, we went to SSR instead. There was a giant storm coming so we walked through Artist's Palette where I got to meet Connie! Then through to spa so i can grab my favorite maple sugar scrub. We had a snack at Earl of Sandwich while I called Dining for the 4th time trying to get any sort of ressie for dinner that night. They were finally able to get me into Whispering Canyon Cafe at 8:40. So we went back to YC, checked in, went to SAB for a while and then headed over to WCC. On the way back we were able to see the Water Pageant and I'm almost positive I saw the boat we will be on for the Wishes cruise in October! They looked like they were having so much fun!!

Saturday was our scrapbooking day. I got up and wanted to hit Extra MAgic morning at MGM so I was out the door by 7:30. They were giving tickets to Mickey's Magic Show, so I snagged one and the show was awesome! By 11:00 the park was packed and hot, so I went back to YC and decided to join the group and scrapbook---but first--I needed lunch. Beaches and Cream it is!! (#2) So I scrapbooked from about 1-5 and I had a class to go to until 7. After class we headed over to the MK for Spectro and Wishes. As always, I stood there on Main Street wiping the tears from my eyes, looking like a fool because the people I was with don't "get it". BAck to the YC and scrapbooking---I finally went to bed around 3 leaving a room of about 200 women still working hard!!

Sunday was the last day, had to get all packed up and ready to go before hitting the parks. We went over to MGM because my friends hadn't gone there with me the day before. While they went on RnR twice, I went through Animation and got to spend a lot of time just looking at the art. It was all the Cars drawings and I was just in awe and thankful for the time I got to spend just appreciating it and not having to rush off to do something else. We left around noon b/c our ME bus was picking us up at 3. But we still had to do lunch--where else---Beaches and Cream!! #3!!

It was a fun trip, I missed the girls a lot but was thankful for the time I could just walk around and not have to go commando and try to see everything. It was so much fun being able to look at the little things for a change, but I found myself saying, I'll be back in less than 8 weeks, so I don't have to rush!! :cool1:
Sounds like you had a GREAT time!!!!

This is the box I made in the class I took. It's really no where near complete because there's a lot more embellishing to do and even more after I add pictures. It's made of 4 pieces of 12x12 paper and has enought room to put 48 pictures! There's pockets for tags and things and flaps for journaling. It is the coolest thing!!

That's really cool, Diana!! Did they give you instructions that you might be willing to share???;)

As long as it doesn't increase in intensity too much, it should be ok in Orlando. The problem with Charley a couple of years ago was that it was a Cat 4 when it hit land and was moving SO fast that it didn't have a lot of time to lose strength before it hit Orlando. Ernesto is not nearly as strong or as organized, so my only suggestion would be to stay home if possible while the storm is passing through because the winds can be strong enough to push your car into another lane and trees will lose some branches.

I love the stickers, where did you get them?

The only place I saw the family stickers was World of Disney. They were with the other car accessories. They had moms, dads, boys and girls. I was happy to see they had 2 different girls so my 2 didn't look like twins. When Bruce saw all the stickers I came home with he said--you're determined to make it so I never take your car to work again, right? So now I have Stitch "Here comes trouble" along with the family and Lightning McQueen. AND my Mickey trailer hitch. :rotfl2:

Roxann--We are in on the shuttle. I will send you an email too. It just seems so much easier to do it that way. Plus since its our first cruise we dont want to look like newbies we will just follow the crowd :teeth:

Deena

When you email me I will want to know where your family is staying before and after the cruise and a cell phone number in case you are late/lost etc.

I will refigure everyone's transfers and plan on reimbursing on the bus.

Rox

It just made more sense because the "party" bus is leaving @ 9:00am and I could not find a CS restaurant open that early around BCV. When you are paying for the dining plan you want to take advantage of ALL your meals!;)

See you bright and early for Breakfast!:goodvibes

We are officially up to 43 passengers. At 43 people the round trip motor coach transfer is $16.63 per person. We have 4 unfilled seats (almost full now).

I will figure out the money I owe back to those who have already paid and reimburse you on the bus. I would like cell phone numbers for everyone who is riding the bus and will have a cell phone with them. This is just in case I need to locate anyone who is late or lost while we are trying to depart on the 22nd or the 26th. I have already confirmed a pick up time on the 22nd for 9:00 am and on the 26th at 9:30 am with the bus company.

Those of us that will be using ME to and from the airport can call with airline information into MS.

For those needing a taxi or shuttle van over to BCV try to carpool with another DISer
BWV (Diana lyn, WDWLVR has their own car)
Pop (IleneF, copper3)
POFQ (socks68)
OKW (#1 mouse and cgcw are already carpooling together)
(acourtwdw)

After the cruise again you could carpool
SSR (IleneF, tinkerbelle has her own car, acourtwdw)
BWV (WDWLVR has their own car, cgcw, copper3 has his own car, sanddune)

I was able to take care of Magical Express online. I submitted all of our flight information through the DVC website and received a confirmation email confirming my reservation.

Good to know!

I have emailed all the bus riders with the newest update!:surfweb:

It was brought to my attention that one of the families joining us for our Wishes Cruise was set-up for the 26th by mistake. Everything has been straightened out.

Please, check your Wishes Cruise confirmations and make sure you are set for October 27, 2006 for the Magical Fireworks Voyage @ 8:15 pm. Please, arrive by 8:00 pm at the Contemporary Resort Marina.
