Flying out on Wednesday to go to California for 2 weeks! :yay: With the way the weather was today, my old bones will definitely appreciate a visit out that way.
Going to stay at GC at DL on points after Labor Day and will do some sites - hope to get down to my uncle's place in the desert. I will most likely miss chat til the 15th - with the time difference, I'm sure I'll be busy.

Good thoughts and pixie dust going out to all who need them -
Have fun, Mary!!!!

It's very sad and I worry about our future generations with this kind of attitude coming from the kids and being accepted because there is no other recourse. I'm not one to spank my kids or anyone elses for that matter, but I disagree with the lack of respect the kids have for adults in their lives.

Okay, I'll stop down now.....I guess it's been a longer day than I thought.[/QUOTE]

I agree - the lack of respect that people have is one of the biggest problem with our society today. If people respected themselves, they wouldn't abuse their bodies with drugs, etc, if they respected others they would not cheat, steal or tresspass on others (their property or their feelings). I too just had to add my two cents.

 Hi Amy! Looks like we are following each other tonight on the thread!

I have to get back upstairs. Yesterday we started painting my son's old room. It was going to be my craft room. Then I bought new shower curtain, rugs and things for the kids bath, so now John is painting it. My daughter Diane came home last night and asked if she could have my craft room - I guess she liked the color we picked. I'm no fool her room and closest is alot bigger than the craft room, so today we started the switch of the two rooms. I just got done spackling the holes she left in the walls of her old room and I'm waiting for them to dry. Tomorrow, I'll sand it and then tape the room and hopefully John will paint it tomorrow evening. Oh, were having a party on Saturday with 40 expected guests for Carol's son and his fiance'. Will we be able to pull it off and have all the rooms functioning by then :confused3

Ok, I found a picture of our door from last year!

Yes, it was a bit chilly today wasn't it :cold: I think it barely made it to 70! Have a great trip to Disneyland and your stay at GC! I really enjoyed our trip there!

Passing good thoghts to those who need them and keeping disFriends in mind for when they are down or worried about friends and loved ones.

Positive thinking does Wonders.

I also wanted to extend my prayers to all of you who need them - sickness or weather related.
Happy Birthday to Emma. :bday:
The invitations are so magical. It sounds like a great event! princess: :groom:
Is there enough room in the convertible for any luggage? :car:
I'm almost caught up on all this chatting! :grouphug:
Thanks for helping me pass the time in recovery - my butt hurts from sitting so much! :bored:

It's called Bayside - kind of a deep teal. It came out really neat looking with the trim and doors white.

The color the kids bath is being painted is - are you ready for this......creme brulee! Not the brown crusty top, the creamy color. The shower curtain has a beach scene on it, the tissue box looks like a cooler and the curtain hooks are flip flops. After the walls dry (probably next week sometime) we are going to stamp and paint flip flops on the walls.

Now I have to come up with a color for my new craft room! I spent months picking out a golden color from my craft room and switched the color to the Bayside while at Home Depot.

I should take a picture of the mess the hall and the rooms are in now. I don't think my dd will ever get all her stuff in the smaller room - but she's determined. Guess she will have to toss some of the junk out. She had dance costumes in her closet and she hasn't taken dance in 6 years. She graduated 3 years ago and she still had her graduation gown in there :confused3

Oh, trust me, you should see my mess!! And, the funny part is that I moved the ENTIRE mess from the office/scrapbook room to the dining room. But, I'm determined to get it out of my dining room and back into my new, clean, organized office (well, at least MY side of the office).;)

WOW are you gals busy typing tonight! I went on 1 ambulance call and there were 5 new pages!

:wizard: May all the ill and injured heal quickly.

Mary have fun in Ca. I remember the pics of your uncles place so you should be nice and warm.

I may get started on door magnets one of these days we'll see. :artist:

Nice to see you visiting here again Deena :thumbsup2

Gail, make sure John paints the walls and not himself.

That should hold me for a while!

Cheryl - hope your tests go well!!!

Chris - glad to hear you are on the mend - nice to have you back posting!

Mary - have a great trip.

Erin - I could use a sangria as well ;)

Georgie - thanks! We're keeping the MGM locations a secret for now, but we will happily share them after the wedding. It's not any on their website if that helps you narrow it down.

Thanks again everyone on your compliments!

Cheryl I hope all your tests have a happy ending!

Chris glad you are healing well. Sorry your tushy hurts!;)

Mary have fun at DL. GC is our favorite DL hotel. Closest to a DVC resort as you will get in California.

Good morning everyone - you all were busy last night!

Cheryl - good luck on your tests.

ConleyFam - wishing you all the best on your recovery.

Mary - have a great trip out to California! Enjoy the GC - don't forget to check out my favorite place - the outdoor fireplace.

Door decorations are always fun. One tip is to try and personalize them in some way. It seems that at times those that aren't personalized get swiped. Very sad but true.

Great picture of the door. Brings back such memories!

GREAT GOOGLIE MOOGLIE!!!

I think the expression on Mickey's face at the bottom of the fish extender says it all!!!!
