Very snazzy picture, Curt!!

That is just FANTASTIC, Steve. CONGRATULATIONS!
Terriffic covered can too! I'm still nervous about cutting and pasting so I haven't done a thing about my smokestack except plan it in my head and buy the appropriate colors. Maybe this weekend.

thanks Chris that's awesome! I think we are going to dance to Racal Flatt's "Bless the Broken Road"

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Matt and I became friends at a very low point for me. I was engaged before and the guy (and let's use that term loosely) called it off 31 days prior ON THE PHONE! I was also married before and my husband passed away 4 months after we were married so I consider it a true blessing to have found Matt. The RF song came out while Matt and I were getting to know each other and it's always made me think of us.

Oh Julie :sad1: That is such a fitting song for you & Matt. :)

I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! :bride:  :groom:

Hmmmm...Curt you are one handsome dude....or is that a picture from a Looooong time ago, LOL!

Well I think the picture is from a while ago, but having had the pleasure of meeting Curt in person I can tell you he is still a handsome dude!

Thank you!

That is a little crazy that he wasn't on the bus. At the elementary school my son went to they have children who walk home or are getting picked up by a parents leave first, then the teachers walk the younger kids out to the busses and the busses don't leave until they get the ok from the school that everyone is out.

I'm terrified of the school bus. Having never riden a school bus myself, I have no clue how it works how they get each kid to where they have to go. Give me NYC mass transit anytime, school buses scare the heck out of me. What a weirdo! :lmao:

I agree, beautiful and very appropriate song!

Our first dance was "So This is Love" from Sleeping Beauty and I walked down the aisle to "When You Wish Upon a Star"

I'd be terrified of any public transportation. When Curt & Karen came here this past summer and said they were using public transportation, I was in awe. Having lived here all of my life, I've never been on the L, a bus. Gary & I use to take the train downtown when we were going through custody hearings for his daughter, but that's the extent of my travels other than car.

Our school bus is pretty good. Walker came home on the first day of school with a huge note pinned to his backpack indicating which bus he took. We made sure that he was on in the morning, so we knew he'd get to school. Coming home, we made sure that Cameron was looking for Walker.

Our buses leave the school lot before the kids who get picked up or walk home are allowed out of the building. The school parking lot is closed for the 10 minutes it takes the kids to get on the bus and out of the lot. Apparently, there were some parents who felt it was more important to zoom in/out of the lot than worry about all the little bodies walking through the lot. So, our principal put a kabosh on that activity. :teeth:

We had "When You Wish Upon A Star" playing during the credits of our wedding video. It was a surprise to us that the video guy put in. He knew we were going to WDW for our honeymoon.

Our first dance was to "Could I Have This Dance" by Anne Murray.

Cindy - we'll just have to have you come visit some day and we'll take the "el" downtown and then grab a bus.

I used to take the el all the time when I lived in Oak Park and worked downtown. You definately meet some interesting people. Now when we go downtown we usually take the Metra as we can walk (about a mile or so) to the station from our house. Or sometimes we do drive and park at the Metra station. Not big fans of driving downtown and even less a fan of parking downtown $$$$$

Ok well then we'll have together some day to go shopping at Woodfield and have burgers at Red Robin. :lmao:

Better yet we should plan a day when we meet at Archiver's (either yours or mine) and spend some time scrapping together.

Excellent idea! So we'll have to scrap at your Archivers since mine is pretty far from Woodfield and Red Robin. :rotfl:

Who knows maybe we can do it to get started on our SSMC06 circle journals since I'm thinking we won't be able to get together until after the cruise. I just know the next 6 weeks are going to fly by!

Next time I get one of those $39 DINGs to Midway, I'm coming out to hang with you guys for the weekend! Archivers--Red Robin. I don't think it gets much better than that!!
