I sure can, it's about 15 minutes from us. We've been there a few times, but we now have a Hooters less than 5 minutes away now, so that's where we go. It's actually one of Emily's favorite restaurants. So much so, that all of the waitresses know the girls and comment about how big they are getting.

Anyway, the original Hooters has been expanded several times, but it's still going strong in Clearwater. I pass it when I want to go to the Super Target in the area.

Thanks Amy! When one of my best friends from NJ comes down he wants to go to the original Hooters. I have one here in Lakeland less than 5 minutes also depending on lights. It has a motel attached to it. We have to meet sometime at the original.

For those of us waitlisted for different resorts has anyone gotten all of their waitlisted days?

We're still waiting for our BVC studio. We do have ressies at SSR, so we're okay if we can't get switched.

Mark - that is awesome news. Nice to be appreciated, ain't it?

Steve - looks like you're having too good a time in those pictures. O'm surprised they didn't have to turn the firehose on you :rotfl2:

Most definitely, Jeff! The original one is really not far from our house, so we can always meet here, then head over there. You're always invited, just give me a bit of notice (to clean up the mess of toys that is ALWAYS around the house :rotfl: ).

We got our first two nights for BCV Oct. 20 and 21st
Still waitlisted for Oct. 26 and 27th for BCV and I just recently added BWV and VWL to the search. Anyone have any luck for their waitlist for after the cruise?

We are waitlisted for a 1 bedroom at BCV after the cruise.

Hmmm, I wonder if I should add VWL? :scratchin

Yikes, Gail, that kind of stinky. I hope your comes through for you! pixiedust: I'm sure your ahead of me on the list as I think you made your plans before I did mine.

Life is good when you can combine work with a little Disney. I have to fly out to the Bay Area in two weeks and since Friday would be a travel day anyway, I decided to see how much it would cost to fly down to Anaheim for the weekend and visit DL. We haven't been to DL since 1984, when my now graduating son was two-years old. Alaska Airlines has an $89 fare from Oakland to Orange County Airport and with the extended stay total airfare works out cheaper than if I flew home on Friday, meaning it's covered by my expense report. I was able to grab two nights at the DL Hotel on points and a third night on cash, so I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND.

:cool1: Congrats Mark - what a great boss you have :cool1:

Mine is pretty cool too! I was "promoted" last year but no raise (gotta love big corporations)... So my Boss gave me a week of vacation on her..... and let it follow into this year as well..... She is working on my next move up and has already advised the higher ups - there will be money involved....

Enjoy your cruise!!!!!!

No luck here. We are waitlisted for 2 nights at BWV. We have a studio at SS, and we have never stayed there, so it will be fine if the waitlist does not come through. :goodvibes

We DID get our MNSSHP tickets in the mail today!! We had recieved tickets with the wrong date in the mail, and I had to mail them back with a note about the date. So I am very glad to have my October 26th tickets! :woohoo:

:bday: :cake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY!!! :cake: :bday:

pixiedust: Pixie dust goes out to everyone who is waitlisted. We are all set at BWV for the night before the cruise and thru Sunday after the cruise!

Well here are some pics from Boy Scout Camporee as promised!
A group shot and some evnts the boys did to build teamwork skills.

I decided to add VWL because we will be doing the Fireworks on Friday and MNSSHP on Thursday. The location would be very handy.

We have a studio @ OKW, but I would like a little taste of all the DVC resorts sometime.

I am calling @ the 7 month window for our Christmas trip. So far so good! :thumbsup2 I don't want to jinx myself though! :stir:

:scratchin It sure would be handy. Hmmmm. I just might call and add it to ours as well.

Personally, I like VWL better than BCV. The kids love Stormalong Bay but it's in no way a relaxing pool with a 6 year old. At VWL Walker can be in the shallow water and we can sit on the side and not have to actually be in the water, or chase him from pool to pool. Stormalong Bay is so much bigger.

For SSMC05, ohiominnie and I were the only people staying at VWL after the cruise. Now that we're staying at BCV this year, all you guys are jumping ship and want to stay at VWL. I just may take that personally. :lmao:

Me too Diana - esp since our wedding is at YCG LOL

So any more rumors on what / when those nice DVC folks are going to communicat with us?

Nope, we're most definitely staying at BCV. VWL is our home, and while I like it, for this trip, it's all about BCV (1 night before/2 nights after). But, I did learn from my mistake last year, and I made sure to get a 1BR to have the washer/dryer after the cruise.

We stayed at VWL after the cruise! I can't believe we never saw you and your double stroller - we ran into ohiominnie and her family quite a bit.
