In fact I think that would be a great picture to send into DVC after the cruise. How a group of cruisers became a circle of friends for not only SSMC05 but into SSMC06!

I LOVE that idea!!! I'm in! :thumbsup2 I'm in for the next CJ too!

Ok so I just got back the scrapbook store and made some more pages and they are SOOOOOOO CUTE! :cutie:
I got home later then expected so I'll get them scanned and posted tomorrow after dinner. You guys are going to LOVE them!!!

I'd love to see the books! I won't be at the pre-cruise meet though I don't tihnk.

Maybe it would be more fun and relaxing to do it at the meet once we get onboard?

Stacy--I can't wait to see the new pages!!

Oh I would love to see what you guys came up with! I hope to participate next year too :)

Me too, I'm definitely in!

I don't think we officially decided, but to cast my vote.....I'd like to wait and either swap them on the cruise sometime or at the DIS precruise meet. I think it would be fun to see them all in one place and I also think it would make the perfect ending photo for my "cast" page....us all standing there holding our books.

Plus I think it would be great for those who didn't get to participate in this one to see how much fun it was and join us for the next one!
I was definitely thinking the same thing. I'd like to see all of the CJs once they are all done. We can do one of 2 things, we can send them back to their original owners before Oct, but ask that everyone bring them to the cruise. Or, keep the last one in our possession and bring it to the cruise. Either way is fine with me, and we'll go with what everyone wants to do.

I got 3 circle journals in the mail today from Amy. I love them. What fun to see all different designs and ideas. Mary J I love your theme...very cool. Can't wait to add my pages and pass them on to Cindy. I really can't wait until I get mine back and see what everyone has done. Amy thank you so much for starting this!I hope we do it again for SSMC06!
::yes:: Me, too. I can't wait to see all y'all's CJs and really hope it's started again for SSMC06. It just seems so much fun.

My vote is for y'all to swap back on the cruise, too, not that it matters. I just really want to see all the great work y'all have done over the months. I know I'm ready to sign up for the next one now, but a little inspiration from y'all couldn't hurt. :goodvibes

Count me in for the next CJ too. I'll make sure that my camera has plenty of batteries so I can take more pictures next time! I don't really care how we get them back, but I like Mary's idea of getting a picture of all of us with our CJ's on SSMC06! ::yes::

Excellent idea!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I vote that we all bring the last one that we had in our possession. That way, it's still a surprise to see our books for the first time.

And, I love your idea of a "cast" page!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Coleen ordered our MNSSHP tickets today for the 26th so we are in! pirate:

Hey everyone - Yes, it's 1:45 a.m. and I'm still up. Actually, I just got finished with a gift that I made for my new nephew that will be here on Saturday. Everyone is asleep, so I had to post so that someone could see.

You can't see the inside of the shadowbox frame, but the sides are painted green and they have baby word rub-ons, like "enduring love", "treasure", "angel", "little hands and feet", etc.

GMTA...

Even though I wasn't involved in the CJ hoopla, I was going to ask that everyone bring theirs along on SSMC06 so that I could take a peek. I'm really interested in possibly getting into scrapbooking for "special" trips (like Member events), and the CJ concept sounds really neat. However, I am seriously intimidated by all this scrapbooking stuff :scared: , so I thought that maybe seeing what everyone else has done could help me decide whether or not it's something that I could do. :confused3

To make a long story not any shorter: Put me down as an official maybe for the next CJ.

Good Morning All!!!

Amy - I love the shadow box!!! That is such a wonderful Gift! Boy now I can't wait to get my CJ back!!!!! I'm going to have to bump up my scrapbooking skills!

I'm so excited that other are interested in doing one after the SSMC06! I might have to start looking for a book for the next one now!

Karen, I'm still very intimidated by the entire process. I have no doubt that those with much more scrapbooking experience than I have will out do my pages with not much effort. I have done very little scrapbooking and I'm very lacking in my skills.

But.......I'm really enjoying doing the CJ's. Even though I know my pages will not be as pretty or fancy as others will be, it will be okay. Because they are my pages and they show a part of me. :cheer2:

I can't wait to see the completed books! :cool1:

Good morning all -

Thanks for the comments! The shadowbox idea was not entirely thought up by me. I took a class at our LSS a couple of years ago and made one for Emily. After Madison was born, I made her one too. But, I've never done a boy one, and I used totally different types of papers, etc. But, Emily's helped as an example on how to do Caleb's.

Oh, and I did not lay out all of those "ribbons" on the page. That is actually paper that looks like lots of different types of ribbon.

Good morning everyone!

Amy I love the shadow box you did. What a beautiful gift!

Cindy - you are right we all have different skill sets but each page will be ours alone. I'd say I'm very much in the intermediate category.

See Cindy, that's EXACTLY why I like doing circle journals. Not only are they a story about the topic (ours being SSMC05), but they are a piece of the person creating it. And, it doesn't matter what the skill level is of the scrapbooker that created it, they did it, and that is what matters the most. I know that I will proudly display my SSMC05 (and SSMC06) CJ on a shelf or table, and know that my DIS friends had a hand in creating it. What could be more perfect!!

Oh, and isn't my little nephew a cutie patoutie?!?!?!?!?! He looks SO much like my brother did when he was a baby.

I can't believe that they are finally going to be here tomorrow night.

Well, I need to go get the girls ready and some breakfast made. Plus, I need to make everyone lunches today, because we're going on a field trip with Emily's class. We are going to a local nature preserve and having lunch and a little birthday celebration for all the kids with summer birthdays.

Just a reminder that tonight is Friday and that means cruise chat! Hope some of you can make it!
