Thank you for the kind wishes. I worked a few hours, took the car for an inspection and oil change, and went out to dinner with some friends. My DD sent me flowers (birthday&Mother's Day).
I plan on really celebrating next week on the Wonder :yay:

Glad to hear you had a nice birthday Karen. We will be having fun and celebrating next week - it will be cruising time before we know it!
See ya next week! :cheer2:

Sorry to hear you also had a MNSSHP ticket mixup. I called this morning and they told me to send the tickets back with a little note that I want to exchange them for a different date. Now I will sit back and worry until I get those tickets in my hot little hand!! :worried:
Well David called this morning about our childrens tickets. They said their records in the computer show 2 adult tickets with DVC discount. David faxed copies of the tickets and they're supposed to check into it further.

???? DVC discount??????

I ordered my tickets last night and asked if there were any discounts and they said no.... Of course she also failed to tell me my total.....

Let me know.

Cindy,

White mud? That is so cool, I'm not that creative at all! I really need to get some ideas from you! My girls say I'm boring.

Dave and Robin are going one night before the cruise. There are some discounted DVC dates, but the ones after the cruise aren't discounted.

We're going on the 26th, so we're paying full price.

OK... Thanks Diana

I bought the tix for the 26th as well....

See everyone there!!!! I will be calling today for dinner at LTT as well. We just have to decide what time - we are going to Kennedy after getting off the cruise.

Good Morning Everyone.

Happy Belated Birthday Karen.

Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I believe it was around $87 for 2 tickets. No discount for 10/26.

Good Morning!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: I hope we have some of that sunshine today -- but I suspect we'll need some of these :umbrella:

Another busy day for us -- Cameron hopefully has a baseball game tonight. Spring keeps us hopping, that's for sure. We did have a break last night as it started pouring just as we were heading out for Walker's soccer practice.

Gary was stuck at work which left me to make dinner. A cook I am not. I made the boys cheese omelettes and all they could talk about was how much better Dad's can make an omelette. :rolleyes1 I admit it -- Gary is a much better cook. I just didn't know that the kids realized it as well -- except for grilling. I already knew they prefer for me to stay away from the grill. :guilty:

Hope everyone has a great day!!

It all depends on which date you're going whether there's a discount or not.

Good morning everyone. Ian and I have lots to do today, stuff we didn't get done yesterday because of lack of communication from David's family. I was fuming yesteday when I was told I had 4 hours to search out some photos for a slide presentation for this weekend. I wasted an hour trying to do it on a laptop while trying to get Ian to take a nap. Let's just say that searching through thousands of large files over the wireless network connection is painful! I finally gave up - both the search and trying to get Ian to lay down - and took Ian out to the car. He was asleep within a few minutes thankfully, because he was one cranky little boy. I did finally get some pics together, but only after David came home and sat in the car with Ian while he slept so I could go to the main computer to find them.

So today after Little Gym class Ian and I have all kinds of errands to run, groceries to buy, etc. I'm just hoping the cranky factor is lower this afternoon than yesterday - for both of us. ;)

OK, I guess the only nights this could be for would be the Friday before the cruise (10/20) or the Sunday after the cruise (10/29). Saturday 10/28 is probably going to be Party for the Senses in EC and Tanya said with Food and Wine Saturdays are the toughest to book. If anyone has any other dates that they think would be good please let me know.

If we can’t do it because of all the other activities scheduled then we can’t do it. I thought about this very thing as I wrote the original post so if it doesn’t work out for this DVC event maybe it can for the next one or another time when a lot of us are at WDW at the same time. I was a little buzzin’ :drinking1 Saturday night (from one rather generous glass of wine – I’m a lightweight) when I talked to both Samir and Tanya so I wasn’t thinking about the dates and what would fit in our schedule. I promised Tanya I would at least offer this on the boards and get back to her. She knew what I was talking about when I brought up the DIS and said she reads the boards and a lot more CMs than we think read them as well.

Mary, the room is just to the right after you walk past the kitchen and into the first dining room. It is still open to the first big room on one side but the table is one huge square table. I guess you would consider it semi-private. The group that was in it on Saturday sure looked like they were having a good time.

Roxann, my parents are famous for trying to get bumped. They like getting bumped going to St. Maarten because usually it's like $1000-1500 per person plus a first-class upgrade. Our best time to get bumped was President's week because a lot of NJers go away then. With us it was either skiing out west or WDW.

Jeff

Hey Jeff - the Yachtsman does sound nice, but for us it wouldn't work. With 2 little kids, there's NO WAY that they would sit still for a nice dinner, at least not enough for me to enjoy. Plus, Friday doesn't work for us, because we'll be at home, and the same goes for Sunday, since we're leaving on Saturday night.

But, I'm sure that it will be a nice time for those that want to attend.

Jeff - The Sunday after the cruise would be a possibility for us, but I think that we're probably in the minority. At this point, we plan on getting in on the day before the cruise (10/21), and leaving on the 30th. :teleport:

The Yachtsman is actually on our list of restaurants to try - Curt will never turn down a steak, and I hear that they have some wonderful vegetarian options. :hippie:

WOW! It's really been slow here today. Where is everyone? :confused3

We're off to a baseball game for the night! :moped: Pirates vs. Cubs --- little league. :teeth: Good thing Cameron's on the Pirates or he'd be working for the other team. ;)

In celebration of another Sunday and getting closer to cruising let's do a few more GTKYKFC questions :)

1) What is your usual Sunday routine?

2) If you have cruised before what will you do different on this cruise?

3) If someone said they would make your perfect meal what would it include?

Wow - still catching up but here are my answers:

1. Sleep in for Matt, normally until 10 or later. I typically get up, clean, eat, check the boards/email etc.

2. Put the phone on do not disturb :rotfl2: Not pack our big cruise cups, we didn't need them!

3. Red Cake!

Great Job Karen

We made it through Brooke's state meet. She did great. Placed 1st on vault, 4th on bars, 2nd on beam and 2nd in the all around. She had her highest scores of the year at this meet. It was a nice meet and she had fun.

We are working on a dvd for all the gymnasts that has all their pictures over the last year and need to put it to music. I am looking for ideas of songs that would be fun for them. It is a secret so I can't ask the girls. I was thinking about one Disney song since one of their meets was at Disney. Any ideas?????

AWESOME!

Oh there is a cool song about believing (not the Jim Brickman one) that is on a recent CD - I will try to find it tonight.
