You guys should check to see if your local scrapbook store does a garage sale. I just got back from mine where my friend had a table. She was cleaning up big time!! Everyone had some great stuff, I was there just to browse though as I'm saving all my money for the big NYC trip on Thursday.

Julie, your closet looks awesome, we don't have a Container Store here, but there is one near my Dad's, I'm sure Jeff knows where it is!

It's done nothing but pour here today. I hope Stacy didn't freeze to death or drown camping this weekend, because she's coming to the city with us on Thursday!! :cool1:
Our LSS did a garage sale not that long ago, but I wasn't ready for it. So, I'm sure that it will be a while before they do it again. I figure that if it doesn't sell on eBay, I'll just donate it to the girls scouts or something like that. Some of it is really old, and isn't my style anymore. But, it's still in GREAT shape.

Home Depot carries the Elfa wire shelving too, I don't know how much planning assistance they offer, though.

That is really cute Amy. Reminds me on the sign in pages many of you did for the CJ's.

Have you guys seen this??

Neat idea for an autograph book. I might need to do that for the girls for our cruise.

I was actually thinking about making an album in Stacy's style but doing a 2 page layout for each character, so I can do the pic/autographs. This is perfect!! And if I just cut a ton of plain white tags, I can embellish them to go with each character after they sign!! :woohoo:

Cool, I'll have to check that out. We were there this morning but it was for wood so we didn't look at anything else!

Another organization idea scrapbookers--Target has those wire cubes on sale this week for $14.99 and you get a $5 gift card when you buy (they hand it to you at the register) So I bought a set and I'm working on it now. I have a GIANT mess on my hands! :lmao:

That was my thought too, when I showed it to Chris. I would just make a bunch of plain white tags and could embellish them later, to match the character that signed it.

I'm really making progress in here, and it's just amazing the things that I have found. I just came across 4 stamps (37 cents) from a swap that I did a LONG time ago. I guess that I'll need to go get some 2 cents stamps to be able to use these now.

Also, I found a bunch of memorabilia from Emily's birth like her hospital bracelet, baptism cards, and pictures of when she played baby Jesus for Christmas eve at church for her first Christmas. I really need to get to my scrapbooking, so I can get this stuff in albums.

Amy - that is an awesome find for an autograph book! One of the women on the disney wedding board I am on has a similar idea that I may scraplift. Great find in your cleaning!

Diana - I like Stacy's idea as well - that looks even easier! I need to ask her what the mickey heads were made out of (eg were they whale punched or home depot heads or ???).

I know the answer--its the whale of a Mickey punch, which coincidentally enough, I have! :woohoo:

I'm almost done with my organization project, and I must say, those Target cubes are awesome!! All my stuff that I had piled and crammed in those plastic drawers are now very neatly organized in my cubes!! I'll have to post a picture when I'm totally done....Bruce is working on the shelf I'm having some technical difficulties with. :lmao:

Thanks Diana! I have that one too - ok and the other 3 as well. AWESOME

now I just have to remember how to find the post where she posted those. I tread the thread search function and well, I failed at that... ugh

found it - post 8055 on the thread :)

I bookmarked it b/c in the middle of summer when I'm ready to start doing it, it'll really be buried in this thread! :lmao:

Ian just took all his clothes out of his t-shirt drawer and I noticed something. The cruise shirts I ordered for him from cafepress - size 2T - appear to be the same size as his 18M shirts he wears now. He's on the small side and just growing into much of his 18M sized clothes. I guess my planning ahead on this may not have worked and I'll have to go back and order a 3T for him now.

Just thought I'd pass along this piece of info for anyone (Diana, Amy) that's getting Infant/Toddler sized shirts from cafepress.

Well, I think our evening just freed up! Went to school for DD's variety show and she lasted about 10 seconds up on stage  Went to the restroom with her so she could change and she said she was so nervous she felt like she was going to P - - K! :scared: I asked her if she was performing tonight and she said no. Of course she also said she wished she had sang instead  I think we will take her out for dinner as a Congratulations for last night and a lesson learned from today. I guess she knows what stage fright is all about now! :scared1:

That's a bummer!

:cake: :cake: Happy (Belated) Birthday Michelle!! :cake: :cake:

Jeff - Thanks for the info about the cruise/events

Mary - Glad you had a good movie night, We haven't been to the movies since Narnia came out so I think we are due.

Cindy - Sounds like you and Walker had a great weekend! I need to get some flowers in! Maybe next weekend.

Julie - I like your closet! I will definately use your ideas for inspiration!
And yes the Mickey heads are the big whale of a punch!

I'm alive! It was pretty cold Friday night but I didn't turn into a popsicle stick luckily. Last night thought they had a ceremony of all the campers at the camporee on the beach. They were inducting new members into the Order of the Arrow. It was pretty interesting but it was pretty windy and chilly on the beach so the bon fires were kind of small and didn't give off any heat. You have to stand on a large circle in silence and the ceremony took about an hour and a half. I'll have to post a pic or two from this weekend once I get them off the memory card!

Hi all! I'm still around, but been pretty busy this weekend.

Cindy, your story about Walker and "hard work" made me smile. Yesterday I went with Ken to his office building to pull weeds from around the front. Towards the end, he said "This is like work!" I'll say! Some of those weeds had thorns that went right through my work gloves!

Last night we followed Mark and Mary's lead and went to the movies, but we saw Mission Impossible III. Have to say I liked it better than the last one. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Today was church, then we stopped at the hospital. Ken's aunt and uncle were in a one car wreck on Friday. His car swerved on wet pavement and it was either hit a tree or go into a lake, so he hit the tree. He has 3 broken ribs and a punctured lung. She has some bleeding on her brain, and both are in intensive care. It's not looking too good, especially for his uncle. :sad2:

This afternoon we went to a high school graduation party. Saw lots of people there that we haven't seen for a long time, so it was fun.

Diana, I may be a bit late sending you the next CJ. I'm leaving on Wednesday to fly to Orlando and will drive back with Dana on Saturday and Sunday. There is just no time to work on them before then. Thought I might get it done this weekend, but as you can see, other things took its place.

Don't know if I'll make it to chat tonight or not. Just depends on what else might happen here at home!

Thanks Robin! Actually, I ordered Madison a 3T and Emily a childs S, to avoid them being too small. I had thought about getting a 2T & 4T, but decided that they could have a growth spurt and they wouldn't fit by October.

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: and prayers for Ken's aunt and uncle for a quick recovery!!!

Today was a busy day, still working on organizing. I'm hoping that I can make BIG progress by Friday, since Thursday is Emily's last day of school.

Chris grilled out steaks for dinner, and I sauted some shrimp, so we had a nice dinner. But, now I'm stuffed!!! I ate too much, but it tasted SO good.

Since I'll be in the office tonight cleaning, I should be in chat! See you guys there!!

Mary - sorry to hear about your Uncle and Aunt! Sending prayers and pixie dust.
