Hey Girls,

I'm up for the banana boat  , but I don't really know what it is...So if its something crazy don't tell me, just let me do it...LOL! Can my girls do it? or are they to little? They are 10 and 7.

I will need to see how many a banana boat holds and what the ages are. If I remember right, I think Walker at 5 was too young last year.

I'll do some checking today and see if I can figure it out -- unless someone else has already.

OH OH OH do you have space for one more? Seriously I LOVE these and so want to do it. Heck if I have to I'll ride with the kids :cool1: I promise to be good and I'll even ride in the back. Plus I grew up as a lifeguard and can swim well just in case.

8 Count them, Steve!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Can you handle the excitement?

And, a lifeguard to boot! Julie, buck up on those skills, I hear Diana's already planning on drowning! :teeth:

I can't believe I'm the first one up! :confused3

Mornin all!

Another busy day here. I have an open house to get more moms to see our club at 9:30. And you guessed it, I'm an organizer. :headache:

For those of you who don't "get" what I do, I'm a member of a stay at home moms club. It's a pretty organized group with board members (you guessed it, volunteered again!) a newsletter, and a calendar and plan about 4 activities a week to do with the kids. You don't have to go to everything, but it seems like I do. We have about 40 members, but there are always people dropping out and joining. We try to do a membership drive before summer starts so especially when school gets out, the stay at home moms in our town don't sit at home alone and go crazy at home with their kids. But, like most things in life, any time you get a bunch of woman together---the cattiness will kill you.

And just HOW many of those board positions do you hold!

What's that you always say --- tell you to stop volunteering!

The schools are going to love you when Emma & Julia get into school.  You have room mom written all over you! :teeth:

Ok, I signed up too, Diana!!! This way, I can get some more of those pretty flowers!!! I like a swap that I don't have to make anything, so it doesn't take as much time.

We did this swap Feb/Mar and it was so successful. I got so many awesome flowers without having to buy a ton of different jars. I think I've used them in every CJ I've gotten so far too! I love flowers!!

I currently only hold 1 Board position, however, I'm also on the planning committee that helps plan the calendar each month. Last year I was newsletter editor. This next school year, I'll be on the board again. :sad2:

Before I had kids and up until last june, I was a Big Brother/Big Sister and Girl Scout leader. I had my own Brownie troop and was co-leader for another Cadette troop. I was also Cookie Manager for all the cookies in our school district. That's 10's of thousands of boxes of cookies I was responsible for. :headache: No wonder I couldn't lose weight! :lmao:

The people I know in the elementary school where the girls are going to go see me coming a mile away. They already have "big" plans for me. Whatever that may be. :confused3

I can't help it, I keep volunteering! I can think of several worse habits I can pick up though!

That's why I was tempted. I've been eyeing those flowers forever at our LSS, but I just didn't want to commit to that many of one type of flower. But, this is perfect. If only I had seen it earlier, I might have been tempted to join each group.

Feel the gentle ocean spray

In everything I have read about on the DIS, this the word "gentle" never appears! :confused3

And even though I said I was going to drown, I just want to go on record and say I can swim. But if a fish comes up near me, I'm gonna freak out. :lmao:

My big fear is falling off the banana and not being able to climb back on. :lmao:

Isn't that the truth. And, your spending quality, positive time with your children. :thumbsup2

Thanks.....this sounds like a lot of fun! :cheer2:

I was just looking at the calendar and these are the last few days to make dining plans before we can start calling in our ADRs!!! :cheer2:

Time's flying now! :cool1:

Diana, you and me both! I sometimes wonder just exactly what we were swimming/snorkeling with at CC. We couldn't see a thing in the water that day -- probably a good thing.

I was once attacked by a very angry catfish and very sick due to blood poisoning. So, the thought of a real ocean fish near me is petrifying! :scared:

I think that's just incentive to not fall off!

Make that 9now! I signed up to do the banana boat last time, but chickened out because my shoulder was giving me a lot of trouble and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to hold on. I've been going to PT for it, and it's much better, so I'll give it a try! ::yes::

I would like to be number 10, but only if Julie is there. I'm not the best swimmer, but they say you have to wear life jackets so I figure I can handle it. Of course my biggest worry would be like Diana's not being able to get back on after they throw me off. I can just see all the guys on the beach betting on who is going to fall off first and :lmao: .

Can Karen be included too? I see that the 10th person has already called it. So if this develops into two boats Karen wants in too.

She has quite a few clients this week, school is out here so everybody is taking a spring trip. She's actually collapsing into bed at night instead of logging on herself. I've been keeping her up to date through my lurking.

So can she play too? Can she huh?
