When are we closing up and mailing out?

Please don't rush me.......I hope we don't have a date yet as I have yet to start. :guilty:

We don't, do we??? :crazy2:

Ooops, I should have read further.

I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking that maybe we ask everyone whether they would like to mail in the beginning of a month, or maybe in the middle (like the 15th)?

I should have read the whole thread before responding. This will teach me.

Oh, I know! I just know that some people have more going on in the beginning of the month, so I just want to accomodate the group as much as possible!!! I'm thinking that we'll either start the mailing Feb 15th or March 1st, and then monthly after that.

Feb. 15 or March 1st work for me. I was just afraid it was going to be 2/1 mail date and I'd be up all night finishing up.

I vote for the middle of the month, only because personally, I'm not sure I'll be ready by the end of THIS month. :guilty:

Stacy, the QVC scrapbooking is on til 10, luckily LOST is on at 9, so I'll get cut off for sure then. I've done really good all day, the 2 things I've wanted have sold out quickly so all my debating prevented me from spending! Now I just saw one last thing I'd like to get, because it has the album that I love in it.....Bruce hasn't changed the channel on me yet, so maybe it's ok to buy? :confused3

Or.....maybe Bruce has secretly been reading the DIS and knows you know the CC# by heart and it doesn't really matter if he holds the actual card or not. If you truly want to buy it, Bruce probably knows that you have a way to do just that. :cool2: :rotfl2:

Steve - You scrapbook?

Well yes I do. Sort of ;)
I have done a few books mostly Disney, fishing trips, and our HOOTERS visits! :cool1:

So far my Alaska trip book which is about 4 inches thick is my best effort. I was able to do it at work for awhile then my boss started riding us all about doing "projects" so I have lost out on some valuable time here. But I am workin on beating him down so he lets us keep busy again.

Hi Roxann - welcome back! Glad you had a good time. We loved the dessert buffet and being able to sit on the balcony for Fantasmic!

I think the main topic while you were gone was a mini-meet happening in March when a number of cruisers will be at WDW.

We are heading to Hilton Head the last week of March. We used Frequent Flier miles to fly first class (never flown first class before). Sorry, we will miss the mini meet. We LOVE Hilton Head! Can't wait for March!

We are using points twice in March. One trip to Hilton Head and the other trip DH and I are staying at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn through the Conciege Collection. We will let you know how the resort is.

Janet

I wanted to Thank You for the information on the laundry facilities in The Grand Californian. I actually did 2 loads of laundry. DD could not get enough of the Grizzly River Rapids. We had so many wet clothes it was unbelievable!
The laundry was only 2 floors down from our room. Very convenient! Thanks again!

Just a little note.( I might be alittle busy for a while.) Mom has breast cancer again. Little one has his autistic testing ,middle child has depression and mood swing disorder and older son may have scoliousis . If it rains it pours around here! :crazy2: I'll try to keep up.If not, :faint: I'll get it when I can .

Prayers and some pixie dust coming your way! Take care of yourself so you can help take care of your family.

Roxann,

Even though we are going to WDW, I am jeoleous as Hilton Head is our MOST favorite place -- even over WDW. We have gone the last 5 July's and will be there again this July. :cool1: We thought for a second of giving up our Hilton Head trip this year and using the points for the cruise instead, but it was a quick moment.

I'd love to hear what you enjoy doing at Hilton Head. I'm always on the look out for new ideas, although we love to sit and do nothing.

Thank goodness for Lost!
I did scoot over to the QVC website and quickly said no and got right off. As it is I spent $60 at the crop on Sunday!

Steve - I think it's pretty cool that you scrapbook. You should post a page or two to show off your handywork. :cutie:

We like to miniature golf. Visit Sea Pines and eat at the Salty Dog. Shopping at the outlet mall.

We are gonna check out Savannah this trip. I was thinking about a Dolphin Cruise too.

We mostly like to sleep, swim and of course make smores during the campfire.

What do you like to do? This will be our third Hilton Head Trip. It is so quiet and we play lots of board games.

I have seen Squid's scrapbook from their Alaska trip. He did a really good job! It's a really nice book.

Now I do have a question for you Squid. Remember our get together in Grand Rapids and there was that weekend crop going on at the hotel. Wasn't it you and Dale making fun of John cause he was up there talking with the ladies and telling us how all the tools work?? Were you a closet scrapbooker at that time? :cool1:

I'm up for the Circle Journal exchange mid-month. I was afraid when you said the 1st that it would be 2/1. 2/15 works great.

Hey Steve - want to join the Circle Journal exchange?

Morning. :sunny:

Mary, that's exactly what I was thinking -- 2/1 would be scary for me.

Come on, Steve, great idea!!! That is if you can put up with a rookie like me working on your book.

Hey, the smilies are back the old way again. :confused3 Oh, Diana......... :teeth:

No, No, 2/1 would have been too early for me too! I want to make sure that we give everyone plenty of time.

We found a new restaurant last summer -- the Sea Shack. It's the one Rachel Ray did a review on not long ago. It's kind of hard to find and definately a place for the local people on HH to visit. If you ask at the resort, they'll give you directions, it kind of tucked back off the main strip. Well worth the trip.

We love to rent bikes and go riding all over. Walker has been riding to and from the beach for 2 years now. In fact, one year we were out there and a sand storm kicked up so we couldn't ride back - I had the car so we left the bikes and drove back. Walker was very upset..he still wanted to ride the bike, sand and all.

The kids love to crab fish off the pier. One year, Cameron caught a Diamondback Turtle off the pier. Very cool to see, but was the turtle mad to come out of the water. :scared:

We love to go on the beach combing tour out to Dufuski Island with Scott from Low Country Nature Tours. Scott's the one who does the tours through Disney. While more pricey than the bigger boats, it's definately one on one service and a small group experience. If you decide to do a tour with him, tell Scott that you know me from the DIS boards. Scott doesn't post here (apparently he can't?) but he does know that I'm a big fan of his and I post here. I hear he's working on a revamp of his website -- who knows what pictures he might end up with out there. :teeth: I have it on pretty good authority that it might be someone we know. ;)

We also started doing shark fishing with him. Another awesome experience!!! Again, pricy, but to us, well worth the money.

The strangest thing we find is that I like to cook in our villa. It's not something I look forward to doing at home, but there, I actually enjoy it. With the kids, we find it's easier than going back, showering, changing, heading out to dinner, waiting for a table and then getting back and the kids want to swim again. So, by the time we do all that, I find I can cook dinner and it's more relaxing to us.

We love to do any events B'Lou Crabbe does. His magic show is terrific and we love his stories.

We also enjoy going over to Shelter Cove to see Shannon Tanner. I'm not sure what his show schedule is but we've seen him the last several years. I think Gary (my DH) enjoys the show more than the kids. Shannon sings many songs from way back when we were younger.

Have a wonderful time, I know you will!!! :cheer2:

We definately have to make plans to get to Hilton Head some time on the future. Love hearing about it Cindy!

I think I will pass but thanks for the invite. I do not write well and my time is very limited I would hate to hold up the program. MAYBE after this years DVC cruise I will have more time! I MAY be able to post a pic or two of pages I have done, before we leave on Sunday.

Wow, they are back the old way....just when I was getting used to the new way. It wasn't me!

I'm off to spend the morning at a bday party at Chuck E Cheese. Emma wouldn't go to bed last night because she wanted to go NOW!! Thankfully, she feel asleep before LOST....and you guys who don't watch missed a really good episode!

THIS IS IMPORTANT!

I just got my Disney Visa bill. I had charged the Member Cruise on my Disney Visa because there was no interest for 6 months and I also got Disney Dollars. When the bill came I was being charged 14%. I called Disney Visa in Orlando. They verified that I should not have been charged interest and will remove the charge.

If you charged your cruise, check your bill.

Have a Duckie Day

OMG, it's been over a month since I've had time really read this thread. I think I left off around 80 pages back. :earseek: Anyone wanna give me a recap and share any important info I may have missed?
