You know what irritates me? I was on the Disney site in the "2006 Packages" section TRYING to figure out what is what for next year. And the stupid thing is dated JULY 2005! The hard copy of the brochure I just brought home was printed SEPTEMBER 2005! The hard copies are more current than the website! :badpc: I know there are PLENTY of changes coming down the pike for 2006 and I want to plan my dining NOW. They are still showing CRT as a single credit meal but we all know it is going to signature.

I might want to eat at Le Cellier or Coral Reef. But I ONLY want to eat there if it is ONE credit! We didn't dig the whole signature thing - single credit TS for us from now on. If I am supposed to have this all figured out by 180 days prior to departure HOW ABOUT SOME ACCURATE INFO?

I know what you :confused3 mean!! With all the changes in the pricing and the menu's it makes it doubly hard to get your ADR'S figured out! I've already changed mine one time over and now since they are changing the menu for CRT dinner, will probably change again!! I am waiting for someone who goes after Feb. 1st to report back about CRT dinner menu on what they thought. I just don't know what "creations" are which are 3 of the 4 things posted on the menu!! Everytime I call disney dining, they don't even know because of all the changes!! It makes me think next year we'll take a vacation that is more relaxing to plan!!!

I can tell you that le cellier and coral reef will be one ts in 2006. I am a dining cast member

Well Lillymom, do you know what a seafood creation is? I am really curious.
Also, we are thinking about House of Blues for either the Sunday Brunch or for Sat. night. Would you recommd it? Or have you ever been? Maybe you can be a big help to all of us that are confused!!! :sunny:

Thank you Lillymom! My greatest concern with the dining package is what changes they may make before we go. Now if I could just find out what dessert will be served at dinner at CRT? We go Feb 2nd. I am very happy to have you confirm Le Cellier and Coral Reef as 1 credit. Thank you!

I believe the "creations" at CRT are supposed to be chef's specials that change daily.

I called 2 days ago and was told Coral Reef is still 2 TS for 2006. I guess it takes awhile for word to spread. If it is 1 maybe we go there instead of Biergarten.

I just got off the phone with dining and she confirmed that coral reef will change as of jan 1,2006 to 1 ts credit and Cinderellas would be 2.

Where is a list of all the changes they are doing for 2006? Those of us that have a vacation planned right after the changes need to know now while we can still chnge ADR'S!! I thought Coral Reef was only o :confused3 ne credit, so that's changing to 2? It was 2 and they changed it to one!! How is a person to know?!!

Coral Reef will be ONE in 2006, Cinderellas will be TWO. But I agree they need to post the changes now.

what will the dining program cost in 2006?

i will stay at all stars and i know their tax is higher than the other resorts.
is it 13% at allstars due to it being in a different county?
and are all other resorts a 12% tax base?

DisneyDreamer,
When you say Cinderella's will be 2 in 2006, do you mean from Feb 1, 2006 forward??? I have a dinner ressie for Jan 2006 and was told it was only 1 TS.

yes, sorry from feb 1st forward, my trip actually starts feb 1, so i am bummed on that one, especially since dinner at coral reef and le cellier will exceed the cost of Cinderellas and they will only be 1 credit.

Howdy! When we check in on 12/3, will we get a current copy of the latest DP info? We're using DP for the first time, and I'm bummed to learn that the info I've been using off of the Disney Web site is out of date! Or, does anyone know if there's a PDF posted anywhere with the most current info? Thanks!

Thanks!

If you have read my trip report you may be familiar with my DH's motto "Is this a buffet?" I have informed him TWICE since we came home that we will not get the dining plan next time if he refuses to eat anywhere that has a menu. We did OK with the plan this time but we only saved about $250. If we took out the TS places that WEREN'T buffets and subtracted out the fruit that we got for "dessert" at breakfast every day we wouldn't have come out much ahead, and maybe not ahead at all! We haven't even been home for 2 weeks and we are already fighting about the next trip. :rotfl:

It would be lovely to plan some nice dinner that ARE NOT buffets for one credit. Thanks again!

i don't get it...........only saved $250???

to me, that is a good saving....

$250 was a decent savings, but for 2006 they are not allowing dessert for breakfast. That was easily $50 of our savings because those breakfast fruit cups were $2-$3 each. Without it we would have only saved $200. If DH flatly refuses to eat anything other than buffet food all week then most likely we would come very close to just breaking even, which makes the dining plan not really worthwhile. But if we can find some good places to eat for 1 credit and DH will agree to go somewhere that is NOT a buffet then our savings will be worth having the plan. :)

I'd still do the dining plan. At worse you break even. At best your DH may change his mind when you get to WDW. You may wind up with one or two TS that aren't buffets. Easier to "upgrade" when you get to WDW if it won't cost any more. You might even make a reservation for a place like Le Cellier or Mama Melrose just in case your DH changes his mind when you get to WDW.
