My husband is scheduled to come with me but now he might have to work since he has been working weekends like crazy....if he can't then it will be me and my mom, or me and my friend Bob (we worked together in the local Disney Store) or me and both my mom and Bob...LOL

Im booking two nights at the Crowne Plaza incase we stay late at Dorney on Sunday and want to stay an extra night, but it all depends on if I can get that Monday off from work or not....

My 16 yo DD has decided to join us and possibly my Mom as well.

As of today, we will be going home after the meet-unless my group feels adventurous enough to drive back the next day to do Dorney-we'll decide that one later

I'm Cathy (51), DH Bob (51) and DD Emily (18). We are planning
on going to Dorney Park on Saturday evening after 5 p.m. (discount
evening rate) just to see it. We're close enough not to have to stay
overnight.

Must tell you this was a pulling teeth decision since I just found out my town is sponsoring a bus trip to see the Red Sox in Baltimore on the same day! The Red Sox are my team and that was a tough one to give up - but thought the DisMeet was more important!

The after 5 at Dorney sounds like a good idea too! I like the park, but am too frugal to get a hotel room that close to home...

Ok. Since you asked.

John (46) single (sort of and just might be legally by the time of the meet!).

I'm up for *any* coaster rides!! I haven't been to Dorney in years but I do know they have some new ones because I drive past there frequently. It was cool to watch them put up the one that looks like the Hulk (at IOA). I guess I could be convinced to go to Dorney the next day.

One of my customers that I visit frequently is right across the street from the Crown. I know the area well. Too well. So if anyone needs help with directions, I'd be happy to help out.

From Stroudsburg PA - 38 miles from the meet.

We may be very interested in Dorney the next day - would include my DH as well. Since it's close, we'd just come back the next day....

That's one reason -- since we're spending a fortune on the August Repo cruise and DL tickets, I didn't want to spend too much on an amusement park near home. Plus, we are not ride people (like roller coasters, etc.). We want to just go and see it and the Peanuts characters and walk around. I think the last time I looked the after 5 price was $14.

I live 30 minutes south of Allentown, so I won't be staying over anywhere but home. I don't think we'll be coming to Dorney Park. But that's not a definite. We live so close but haven't been there for years. I'll know when we get closer to the meet.
