My boys would love that...DS lets out a big "Woo Hoo, Go Daddy Go!" if I take a corner a little (ahem) quickly.
LOL!! DD always throws her hands in the air and says "Wheeeee!!!!" like she's on a roller coaster.

We're probably going to DL this Sunday....you can probably catch us going on the Buzz ride over & over & over again because somebody's addicted to the ride (you can figure out who's addicted by looking at our Buzz photos). :rotfl:

Please don't anyone be offended if I don't recognize you on the trip! I am totally approachable and would be very happy to meet you but I am terrible at remembering faces and names, especially with all that is already crammed in my brain right now anyway. Please say Hello if you see me or my Daughter Ashleigh (Tallmidgetgirl) and we will try really hard to identify those we can. :teeth: I know I will figure it out on Randi's ride, especially when some of the riders wish Melissa a Happy Birthday. At least I will know the FIRST one to say it is on our board. :rotfl2:
Anyone else freaked out about the onboard strain of stomach flu? I read itis not just a ship flu, but one going around CA. We haven't had it here, (knock on my wooden head) but I am intimidated. I read it is in no way the capacity of the worst breakouts in previous years, but still ...darn it all! I have read that you can be compensated a bit with some kind of credit if you are sick on the ship. How does that work?

Well, I just happen to have a somewhat lime green shirt that I could wear. My DH would not be caught dead wearing something so that others could find him. He has not been on this board and has not a clue as to how addicting it is!! :)
DB-you're killing me with the kids in the car skidding around the corner. Got my laughs in early today. Funny!

I am also thinking (have I completely lost it?) that maybe some Home Depot Disney paint chips (green of course) cut out and a pin glued to the back would make a decent name tag. I read about that somewhere here. Maybe someone is already doing this, and that is why this idea sounds so great? Sorry, it has been a long week and time keeps speeding up. Anyhow, maybe I will make some for my girls. Question is would they wear them? Me in lime green, girls with Mickey heads on their shirts and husband trying to avoid us at all costs :earsgirl: . That will be our family!!

One week to go................

Have a safe trip to CA C-Ethyl and family! :sunny:

I'm about to lose my internet connection, so more later!

I can't believe the cruise is NEXT WEEK SATURDAY!!

We're still packing & I still have a few things to get....clorox/lysol wipes (too many germies on board!). Treats for the CMs. Care package for Randi. Black socks & shoes for DS. Nice sandals/shoes for DD (just found out she's going to be a flower girl next month so it's my excuse for cute cruise shoes!).

Gotta get going so I'll check back later.

Hi Everyone! This is my last day posting before the cruise. We're off beginning Saturday for our 'grand- adventure'!

At the terminal you can recognize the four of us wearing our "patriotic Mickey" T-shirts. They're white with the mouse and a flag on the front. We're all in the blonde-shades of hair color (only mine is enhanced to camoflage the greys). Mizz M has the blondest hair and long; probably in a ponytail. DH is 6'1" and DS is 5'10". I wear glasses (so does hubbie) and am in the "vertically challenged" catagory (I like to say that I am 5'3", but that's a half-inch exaggeration). Come say "hi" if you want to meet the "bug" (ha...I AM a LITTLE slap happy today, I daresay! Sorry! )

I am good at talking about the weather! :rotfl: Otherwise I won't know what to say  (Arrrrr! Shiver me timbers...cat gots me tongue! pirate: ) I guess you could ask me about the cruise! :goodvibes It's me mate - he be the talkative one! pirate:

:wizard: :wizard: Here's to the virus running it's course offa the Magic! Airborne - tonight and during! :wizard: Nobody wants to be sick on vacay! :guilty:

Best wishes to everyone :wizard: "until we meet 'again' "! :cloud9: :mickeybar :)

VB aka Calio Ethyl aka Bev

Have fun Calico Ethyl!!!

It's a little colder today than it has been over the past few days. I bet the folks onboard are a bit chilly right now.

Today was DS's last day of school! :teeth: He had THE WORST teacher this year so it's been a challenge for the kids and all the parents. She'd even give huge projects to do over Winter & Spring break and would rip up papers if they weren't done neatly.....just the tip of the iceberg, don't get me started. We're going to dinner tonight to King's Hawaiian with a few other parents to celebrate passing the third grade. :cheer2: King's Hawaiian is a great restaurant/bakery in Torrance (about 15-20 minutes from the port) that makes those sweet bread, rolls, etc. that you can find in supermarkets.

I am looking forward to meeting you! Thanks for all your CA advise and knowledge - it's been wonderful learning from you!

I thought the King's Bread was from that Bakery! That's yummy! Is is really Hawaiian?

Thank goodness things slowed down at work - I did get caught up and then some....I am nearly crawlin' out of my skin with excitment!

We have the 3-H weather here. Wow! Everyone's melting. It was 73 this morning for my walk to the bus! Of course I am freezing in this airconditioning and running my space heater! :rotfl:

Be safe! C U on the ship or at the terminal!
Have a fun dinner/celebration! Whoohooo! :Pinkbounc

VBug - yep, the bakery & restaurant originated from Hawaii but have moved all of their operations to S. California. It's yummy & I like making french toast out of the sweet bread.

I'm trying to convince either DH or DS to wear a pirate hat in the terminal so that we'll be easy to spot. DH keeps asking - who are all these people you keep talking about?? LOL.

MMMMM. Hawaii Bread French Toast. King's Hawaiian Restaurant. OK, now I'm hungry - how come work doesn't have a buffet? :rotfl: (This Homer Simpson moment is all your fault Rae Ann)

Haven't been to King's since the early Nineties...have to find some time to go back.

Have a good trip C-Ethyl. Why don't you wear a Pittsburgh Pirates cap in the terminal? We'll find you for sure.

Oh yeah tallmidgetgirl? Maybe I will see you at Disneyland, or maybe on the road even! Funny, your countdown says you leave in 4 days, and mine says in 3.

Uggghhh... I think I'll be the LAST one to go on "vacation"....just like I was the LAST one to get my docs. LOL

Hi Raeann

We too will probably be with you on the list of last to go since we don't leave for terminal until Saturday morning. :sad2: Time seems to be crawling. I will leave from Las Vegas on Thursday to meet DD, DSIL and DGD. That will be exciting in itself. :cheer2: I think I finally have gotten everything from the store (maybe). Looking forward to seeing your family in the terminal.

Hoping for special and happy moments for all our Disboarders :grouphug: on this Happy Happy Cruise :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We're in the middle of packing and it seems like we're packing too much stuff!! I think we can fit everything in 5 suitcases (1 large, 1 medium, 3 small) & a garment bag. I think I'm going to have to rethink everything & start taking some stuff OUT!

DB - dinner at King's was delicious!! There's also the "Local Place" (a take out place by King's Hawaiian) right off the 405 freeway and Western. Maybe you can stop by before your trek back to MV. Yummy baked goods & meals just waiting for "Homer".

LOL. I have been out all day buying the "last" stuff (hopefully!) for our trip. I just brought it all into the guest bedroom where I am packing.... there is way too much stuff in that room! :rotfl2: DH wants to know how it will all fit into the suitcases! :confused3

We won't be leaving for the port until Saturday morning either. DD's don't finish school until the 17th and DH is on a business trip until late Thursday!

lvrodmic: I was just in your home town! DH was at a conference all last week in Vegas. I found a babysitter for the kids and flew out wednesday afternoon to join him for the last two days! We saw "O" and all I can say is "WOW!" what an amazing show. The weather was wonderfully warm, too! June Gloom seems to have settled in here, though.

We went to the pier to see the Magic off today because DH wanted another cruise fix. The Magic left shortly after 5 pm. It took a little while to make the right turn then it slowly cruised by the Ports O Call area. We saw a lot of people on the decks and a few even waved back to us. The kids were excited to see the Magic and they enjoyed watching the seagulls and a seal in the water.

CACruisin' - DH is going to be on a business trip in San Diego this week (Tuesday through Friday).... The only thing I'm really complaining about is having to drive to LAX on Thursday to pick up our friends during rush hour. Uggh!! I don't do well in traffic.

Drycleaning...check.

Dress socks...check.

Cameras, Film, Radios, power strip, travel toothbrushes, pirate stuff....uh-oh.

Already have more stuff than can be packed...check.

Disneyland tomorrow...check.

King's Drive Thru off of Western and 405 (stomach, you'll just have to make room!)...check! (thanks, Rae Ann)

Everyone, travel safely...see you 6 days! Rae Ann, we may run into you tomorrow - my boys love Buzz, too.

 I finally got dress socks for my son!

Have the best time in disneyland you guys! I will be down there on Wednesday, but we are going to sit by the pool and then take in Medieval Times. I will be in the parks on Thursday and Friday! YAHOO!

I had a horrible dream last night that we got down there and they cancelled the cruise-actually all cruises until next February because of the flu thing. I was so relieved to wake up from that one! Ashleigh and I decided we will be grateful for everyday we have that we escape the bug.

I haven't begun packing yet.....Today is the day!
