Yes, we are having a GRANDSON! OMG I can hardly wait. I already have so much Disney stuff bought that it's not funny.
Bridezilla and Prince Charming wasted no time and we just found out last Friday that the baby is a boy. Little Mickey is what I call him... but Mamazilla doesn't really care for that....
Working like crazy and saving up the OT for baby stuff... and the INFANT TRAVEL SYSTEM that I promised to provide... it's no longer a STROLLER.... So much has changed in baby stuff in the last 27 years... go figure!
What the heck is a Boppy????
Don't forget to let me know if you're coming to WDW... I'm here now.... yipppeee!
Mini Cruise planned for 9/13...... I need a DCL FIX!

Did I hear that DVC is offering a discount for the TOT in October? Had they always offered it? They always seem to be behind the times. I know I searched the site before registering, but must have missed it!

Georgie, It seems that DVC has a race discount for most races, we have mised them all so far for fear of teh race filling up, before we are notified about the race discount. It is about $5.00.

Congrats Leslie and Joe, how exciting! I agree, you guys DO look too young to be grandparents! I remember those travel system things- yes they are convenient- but darn heavy! I ended up with a c-section with Noah and I wasn't allowed to lift heavy things for 6 weeks- so I still had to pull him out of the car seat, because I couldn't lift it. Oh well!

Time to get this thread off of page three. Tomorrow we are headed to DL for the 1/2 Marathon.

Yesterday I did a 10 mile walk/run with an average pace of 15:00. I now feel much better about the race. Scott has done a 10 mile run at a good pace, so we both have done walks/runs that are almost the length of the 1/2. We are looking forward to seeing all our friends who will also be there.

A boppy...lol, a big pillow type thing that supports the baby while he can't sit up yet, lol.

My Bob says..don't know how we every made it, raising our kids with out all this new fangled stuff, and for heavens sake..how did any of us ever learn to drink properly without a sippee cup..lol. My kids crack me up with what they think they need..lol.

Long week and I even took today off 16 hours Wednesday and 17 hours yesterday, and there is no end in sight. I need a vacation. Oh well 2 years 10 months. LO


In Denver right now waiting for our flights to SLC then SNA and then DL….. Yeah…. Dreading the crowds at DL. So I am setting my what we can do expectations low. Will be great to see some fellow cruisers.

A Boppy isn't so the baby can sit up, it's a feeding aid/ pillow. It wraps around Mom or whoever is feeding said baby (mostly used for au natural feeding, so Mom), to prop the baby in the proper position and not tire the food source out from holding. You can use a regular pillow instead, but most Moms find the Boppy or the other feeding pillows much nicer to use. Having said that, you can also use the Boppy to prop the baby up for sitting or for tummy time. Later on most babies love the Boppy for that.
There are alot of things that are new fangled you don't need, but do make life so much easier for the family. You don't need disposable diapers, but they are easier than cloth. You don't need a bottle warmer, but it's alot easier than fiddling with a pot of hot water in the middle of the night.
Plus, if any new parents are like Jeff and I, we can't imagine not having these things after seeing our friends and family have and use them for so long....

Up good and early did a one mile speed training and then a 5K at a 11 min pace. I am ready bring it on …. Then walked a couple of miles with Lynn.

There is Free Internet at the DL hotel How KEWL, are ya listening WDW???????

Looking forward to seeing old friends and new one alike. Later kids I gotta get some coffee and hit the parks early……

Steve, we did make in on Nemo early yesterday Morn, early entry, so our wait was short, 15 min for a delayed start the ride. It was very good, I liked it, but if ya don't get on early I would wait till the newwness wears off.

Kids It is Africa Hot here at DL, spent ost of yesterday with Kay, Susie, and Linda’s Crew . We were really surprised that the crowds seemed less than we expected. Maybe the heat has kept folks away.

We had dinere with Kelly, Ann, Karen etc….It is great to see past cruisers.

I really liked the fireworks here at DL.

We are hoping that the mornings stay cool.

Today will be a rest day.


Wish I had signed up for the 5k, the course loks really Kewl. Next year….

Pretty darn excited this morning, so here I am waiting for the coffee shop to open.

It has benn fantastic to see one and all again, making plans for future trips, enjoying DL etc etc etc…..

All the DVC people have no Idea about the CA DVC property. Seems they have briefed the bell hops and security folks about it LOL…..Looks like we will be getting more points in about a year or so.

I wish the race would start sooner as it will be rather warm, incentive to finish early.

Well best of luck to fellow racers, coffee shop is opening.

Race results to follow, unless Ken posts some live results.
