I hear there is a party in the Cat 1 the day we go threw the Canal...

Boy oh boy our cat 11 inside room Sounds like Chopped liver..

hey we have Been in em all we had cat 4 once 7 8 9 10
Just lucky to be on the Ship ...

Will BE up in THe CAT 2 most of THe Time......

LOL peter

Ken..we WILL have a party! Sounds like fun. We've never even seen one of the Cat3's..just the DCL floorplan so we are looking forward to it.

Rcostello1: Oh my..now I feel bad. (but not real bad...) Actually I didn't even think enough at the time to waitlist for a specific room or rooms. Just asked to be listed for a 1, 2, or 3. From the looks of the deck plan on the DCL site those 4 midship rooms look a little larger. Guess we just got lucky...or maybe they reviewed our bar bill from the last two cruises and are being nice to us for providing all of that revenue!
Jim

jragland don't feel bad, it's not your fault! (or is it????) :)

I'm sure you will feel *really bad* while out on your triple-wide verandah! :) The DCL goobers just need to pay more attention.

I am going to get a gold magic marker so I can color my KTTW card. That should do it.:teeth:

Also just lucky to be on this cruise.

Anyone going to be at WDW for Mousefest/ RADP meet this December?

Jeff and I are in room 8078 (cat 3) for our western in October

Did mousefest last year. Really enjoyed it. Survived the Ultimate Tour challenge- 42 attractions in 9 hours and 59 mn. It was fun. Next trip is Sept for a couple of weeks. Then just a few days in Nov after checking out our retirement property.

Oh, woe is me! I feel so disconnected from you all! :sad1:

:charac2:

I have no DVC points to talk about

No category 1, 2 or 3 cabin(s) to comment on

No interest whatsoever in Lance or the Tour De France (although I do like Sheryl Crow)

No tux to alter

No idea what Mousefest is

-jindy (just teasing, by the way ;) )

Jindy here is something to connect us :)

I will be in the bay area next week! Is it Wednesday yet? I may not survive that long...I can't wait!! Pacific Grove for 2 nights and then Fri-Mon in the city. ChaChaCha here I come, yummy sangria and great calamari..not to mention a good location (Haight).

We all have the cruise:D

It seems like a gazillion days away but I for sure am already in a state of great anticipation.

Ah Scott you missed the best part of Mousefest last year, and this year. Jeff and I are doing an Amazing Race through Disney again. And people are actually coming back for it! 47 square miles, 12 hours, everywhere is pretty much fair game...

Jindy,

Don't feel alone! I also have no DVC, only a category 7 here, no time to watch Lance, no man to fill the tux, although I know what a mousefest is I don't belong.:earboy2:

But Scott is right!! We do have the cruise, and we are going to have the absolute best time ever! It's been very slow at work, and I read through my cruising the Panama Canal book and daydream.

I'll be flying into California next week also, way far away you rcostello1 and Jindy. I'll be very close to where we all will be next year! I'm looking forward to some good Mexican food. We have nothing remotely close to decent Mexican food here in Connecticut.

Robin

Yes you are Robin! Jeff always tells me about this place in Jersey City. Former Chinese place that had the same Chinese owners, but they flipped to Mexican. It was a stereotypical Chinese place with the order by numbers and picture menus, but Mexican food instead. Jeff always said it was amoung the best Mexican he had.

Ya gotta love NJ.

jindy

You don't have to have any of those things, because you're from California (even if it is "Northern California"). Of couse we here in Ventura also feel that we're from Northern California as well. :D

Ken

As we were walking the dogs this evening Lynn said she would have to do some spa stuff on this cruise as we would be on the ship for such a long time. Massages and alpha capsule kinda stuff, and hit the gym during the day. I offered to get her up early with me to go for a run on deck 4 but I was told she needed her sleep. Thus I am relegated to brining her coffee and juice and maybe a danish after my run.

I just have this feeling that we will not know many details about this voyage until kinda late in the game. Thus our minds will run rampant with speculation.

I think I would like to try the Alpha Capsule also. The only spa item I've done is the Suriel Bath with DW. It was fun. Loved the mud and steam part.

Good luck with everything, Robin. I know your trip is not for fun, but I hope you're able to find some enjoyment...we'll be thinking about you!!!

Sounds like a lot of the Mexican resturants up here in San Francisco! LOL

Hey, what's with the *even if it is "Northen California"* stuff??? ;) We all have the same governator! :rotfl: LOL!!! Actually, I really want to move to So Cal...

Regarding our itinerary:

I read a post in the other Canal cruise thread (CA- FL) regarding DCL telling a DU travel agent that they might be changing the Canal cruise itinerary. I checked it out at DCL's website, and noticed that the day we are sailing thru the Canal - we are no longer scheduled to get off the ship.

Check it out here !!!

I don't have my confirmation papers here with me at work - but it looks like the Castaway time has changed as well....

Thanks Jindy!

I just talked to my long time friend out in California, and she has planned one day at Disney California park. Something about a flying or soaring thing that can not be missed????? I almost feel guilty going there and having some fun, but she is insisting. It has been about 11 years since I have been out there, and 22 years since I lived there. I can't believe how much they have changed the Disneyland that I know, love and remember. Do think that under the circumstances I should go there and have some fun? I guess my mind and my heart will guide me.

I for one would love to see Disney drop the Puerto Quetzel port. I have read nothing very good about it. Here is a post on another message board about it:

"We were there in January. Definitely take an excursion as the port area is smoggy and pretty bad. Seemed they were burning garbage upwind of the ship the day we were there. We did a day tour to Antigua and it was nice and also much cooler as you are in the mountains."

Unfortunately most of the good excursions are a long way away, and we are not there long enough. There are several ports along the way which seem to be a lot nicer than there. Just my .02.

I don't remember that we were to stop anywhere during the Panama transit?

We did the Suriel Bath also. I wasn't really interrested before hand, but we had a blast. We also did the couples massage, which was enjoyable also.

To MOOCOW35--were you on the 2/28 western cruise? Seems like I remember that handle.
