So, I went to my local forest preserve to walk today...I saw lots of mallard ducks, some other ducks with black heads, hawks, cranes and lots of robins AND some of Elaine's friends who didn't want to move off of the path but did after I hissed back at them :teeth: and I saw TWO COYOTES!!! Made me a little nervous at first...they were a few hundred yards off. One to my right and one to my left. The one on the right was limping and try and catch birds- this one made me nervous because it was obviously looking for food and either injured or born with hip dysplasia, but he looked at me for one second and then kept going after the birds. The one of the left kept on looking at me and then the other coyote- I was doing the same thing. We would look at each other and then look at the other coyote. Made me nervous, but not too bad. Growing up in Utah, I have seen many coyotes, wolves, bob cat, etc....usually if you give them their space they will give you yours. Still, I would have loved to have been wearing a heart monitor during the time while I was trying to assess the situation. :rotfl2: I felt my body kick into fight or flight mode- then I calmed down and kept on walking.

So, Scott what was my black headed duck?

We had a wonderful time in Ireland & London.

My husband is my hero...he ran a half-marathon in Connemara, Ireland, in some pretty heavy rain, cold and wind. Not to mention a couple of pretty mean hills (one was called "the hell of the west"!). Plus, he can put away pints of Guinness with the best of them!!

Quincy was a great traveler, as usual! She had a great time with Grandpa & Grandma for 2 1/2 weeks and continued eating like a big girl (mussels, anyone?) Everywhere we went in Ireland, someone gave her a little token! :wizard: Everyday was her birthday!

In London, we saw "Mary Poppins" and it was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! The family had dinner with Karen, Ashley and their son. I was in bed with food poisoning! Ugh!

Because of school conflicts, we will not be joining you on next year's repositioning cruise, but will live vicariously through all of you! :grouphug:

Hi guys,

I need to find out some stats from those of you who keep this kind of info at your fingertips... How much fuel does the Magic hold? See... I have this picture of the refueling while we were at Curacao.... Also, did anyone write down how much food we ate during our two week binge? (there's this picture of a forklift with mangoes on it...lol)

The other question is if we're all going to live vicariously through others, who's going to be on the ship?

Leslie,

You poor thing, usually bridezilla doesn't show her face till the budget comes in over it's limit! Good luck!!!

Celeste,

Thanks for the info on the Magic's stats. The page came out great with the shopping list for supplies! Did you get my snapfish email?

We're still deciding what to do about that first Med cruise... Maybe we'll think about it in Alaska.... between whale sightings!

Lynda,

Do you have a new puppy for Cash to play with?

Renae

Yep,

Little Bee is a puppy that I'll be picking up soon and training for Service Dog work. Cash is showing the beginning signs of hip problems so I think it's time I started training a helper for him...I'm hoping she'll be far enough along for me to take on the Med repo...with Cash....

Lynda,
I would offer to share a room with you for the cruise, but I am allergic to dogs. I am okay around them casually, but can't sleep where they are or I have a hard time breathing. I don't really want to be on a ship with an asthma attack...otherwise, I would offer to share a room with you.

Atleast you are going.

WOW - we sure have a lot of sharing and rooming going on around here :rotfl:

We should just book two or three suites together, break the wall down in between and share it all. Disney isn't making it easy for us, are they??

If I find someone to share a room with, DH won't go with me - but if not, I'll drag his behind along

We have some time to think about all of it, tho

You already know I'd call you if I really thought I was going....we'll see what happens.
