Celeste,

Have you tried calling WDW-DINE? You can ask them for some ideas. They can be pretty helpful.

Hi everyone...I need some suggestions.

In October, we are going down for Noah's birthday. It was initially just my parents and my family.....it has now grown to 8 adults and 7 children!
I was going to try to rent one of the pontoon boats for the fireworks- but we are now over the limit.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good birthday party- that won't cost more than 30 pp (adults) ?

We will be off property for this trip.

Renae....any good suggestions? Can you do grand gatherings without staying on property?

THANKS!
Celeste
You can try the Grand One to rent.

Hi everybody,

This morning Kay and Harry came up to Orlando and we went to MOUSE SURPLUS!!!

I found frames there for 2 of my pics from the cruise, matching mats, and a 5' tall tropical plant, all for less than $10... I'm happy... The people there said they have the good stuff that used to go to property control and they'll have the stuff from the Polynesian remodel starting on the 5th of July. I really want one of their entertainment centers, so we'll have to dig into the savings and see what we can do. I didn't buy one last time I had a chance, so I'm going to try this time.

They had some pretty cool stuff, arcade games, some ride vehicles, mirrors from somewhere rustic, and lots of dishes and misc. stuff... There was a room with a lot of collectibles in the front, and some of the big stuff was across the street, so if you go, make sure you get to go over there. It was really fun!

Renae

We are heading up to Orlando next weekend...how exactly do you get to this place??

Thanks,
Cheryl

Cheryl,

If you go to their website, they have a map and driving directions. They just moved from there to a new site just a block away. The map still works, because the new site is still on it. The new address is 1217 Spruce. The website is www.mousesurplus.com

Enjoy,
Renae

Hi Jen,
Just got back from class in Chicago...there are a couple of NICU nurses in my class. Could you tell me more about the grand one- haven't heard of it- is it bigger than the pontoon boat?

Thanks,
Celeste

Never mind- I just checked online you can only have 12 on this :guilty:
Any other suggestions?

I can't even get that far....not sure if its my computer or what....I'm thinking that it is my problem, but does anyone have any ideas? When I click on someone's album, it takes off and "loks" like its downloading, but I let it go overnight last night, and it never got anywhere. I only see the red x no matter what.

I'd check the laptop, but its on another level, and I'm a one level at a time kinda gal right now.

Tony, I hope your trip to London was awesome---does Adrienne ever get to go to the "fun" places? ;)

We're still fighting with getting the direct print to work. I don't know why it isn't showing the right photo, but it is driving my nuts.

Trip was nice - especially dinner with Ashley and Karen. I flew home yesterday, and am not dealing with jet lag (I don't normally wake up at 3am), and am fighting a cold bug of some kind.

Adrienne does get to come occassionaly on the trips, but there was no way for this one. She was stuck at home dealing with the carpet people, alarm guy, phone guy, etc for our new store. We start moving in today!

Scrappin' question,

Hey scrappers, have you decided how you're going to include your navigators and menus in your books? I have some ideas brewing, but haven't decided yet.

Renae

Good morning Renae:

I scrap using 8 1/2 x 11 pages, not the typical 12 x 12. Navigators go in plastic protectors after I cut them in half. As for menus, haven't figured out how to do that yet. I'd love any good ideas. I'm actually just getting to our scrapbooking get together - love reliving all the moments. It's almost as good as being there again - not quite but almost.

Shari,

This is the first time I've done a cruise in 12x12, so navigators and menus won't work the way I usually do them. I'm thinking of just putting them in regular sheet protectors and putting them between the larger pages, but I haven't decided for sure.

Renae-found the top loading 12 x 12 sheet protectors here in two different stores. They are running 9.99 for 25. I might get two seconds today to go to Robert's. I'll check there cuz they always have a 40% off coupon going so that would bring them down to about 6 bucks.

Glad you made it to Mouse Surplus. It was a hoot! Did they still have the balloons from the 80 days around the world movie thing? They told me they sold it the first day.

Oh, and I forgot to tell Scott that when we were there his green van was sitting there. The guy that bought it off ebay still hadn't picked it up.

Linda

Linda,

If you go to Roberts, could you pick up a pack for me? I'd be happy to send you the postage and cost. That's a great deal even without the coupon!

The green van is still there, and there is a huge 'Sully' and 'Mike' from 'Monster's Inc.' but no big balloons. There were several ride vehicles, and they do have a monorail car, but for some reason it's in Georgia! There were a lot of large lumps under tarps, but I couldn't tell what they are. They're still unpacking from their move.
