Hi Renae
Cash and I went off to the wilds of Oxnard, CA to help my mom, who had knee surgery, then a heart attack, then a triple bypass and a stroke. She was acting a little wierd in the convalescent home and, sure enough, when I got her all settled in her home she really showed her spots...A subsequent brain scan showed damage that is causing the dementia...Anyway, I spent two months getting her set up with various social services, the neighbors, nearby relatives and got back last week, I think... I see my future and it ain't a pretty thing...bummer...
Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! I'm off to the neighbors today for some Thanksgiving lamb chops. My next cruise is the triple play on the Magic next Christmas...The ship will be mine from Dec. 16 to January 6...

I was hoping to get to WDW before that but I've been spending money on the house making it accessible to my scooter and I'm certain that my money pit will drain all my resources...Say Hi to Mickey for me, all you Mousefesters...I made it to Mousefest last year and met up with Deb Wills and the other crazy festers and had a great time...What great memories...Like the repo cruise!

I was hoping to make it to MouseFest this year. But the surgery is keeping me away. Only one foot is able to walk. Better times are in the future.

Gotta 2nd that thought, Kay! We'll be seeing what Carnival comes up with for a Thanksgiving dinner!!! We're in Ensenada today, and tomorrow is a day at sea. Flying home from LA Friday evening! All in all, a great trip, but Carnival has a lot of stuff to work on....(getting the smell of vomit out of a room is the first thing...) They gave us a different room yesterday after me complaining for 2 days...first solution was to spray some industrial cleaner that set off my asthma......now we're aft and my brother is forward, but we can all enjoy our rooms now!!!

Best thing I've seen so far is magnets that hold the doors open....to the hallway and to the bathroom in your cabin.....just a little thing, but SO convenient....meals just aren't the same without my Dis buddies......

Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!!!!!!!!

Geez, Elaine, don't tell the WHOLE WORLD...........

And as far as the chairs go, we don't have a verandah, so no need for chairs....the room only has a very small chair and table...no sofa, and the "desk" is very small. Only one person gets to "sit" at a time....

I am amazed at:

1) The number of technically challenged people here.....i.e. the lady at lunch who couldn't get ice for her drink....not to mention how difficult it is to get from forward to aft on most decks...I've been figuring out how far I want to go and using our cabin hallway....at least I know it doesn't deadend somewhere....

2) The number of kids onboard....it's VERY apparent, since the vast majority are running and screaming everywhere they go.....

The "ice" lady was a passenger....

The crew doesn't understand how confusing things are.....they keep asking, don't you have your map? When I get home I'll scan this "map".....it's not much.....

It's incredible how LOUD and boisterous ALL the passengers are.....and cranky, too!! A lot of nastily unhappy people.....the gal behind me in the omelet line this am told the gal making them, "You'd better cook mine a lot longer than THAT!!!!" It just surprises me to hear that kind of thing first off....

I do love the atrium...Keith has been trying to get a pic, but the ones he'd gotten just don't do it justice......

We all have so much to be thankful for.

Right now I am very Thankful to be on vacation. Off to the airport we go. Will be good to see family in ATL today.

This is the first year that our house is the big gathering place, it's really fun! I just put the ham in the oven, I made cookies and caramel corn this morning, and the rest goes in in about 2 hours.... anyone hungry?

Hey, has anyone actually made hot chocolate souffle' yet? I got some ramekins yesterday, but they're 10 oz. and the ones in the recipe call for 4 oz. I don't know if that makes a difference in whether the souffle' will rise or not... I know it will make my waistline expand, but I want the recipe to work!!!

It's 14 F here too....but with the wind chill it feels like -4 F ...we were supposed to get a blizzard last night but it passed over us and hit Toronto instead!!!!!!

P.S. Peter has the mailperson delivered your package yet?
