Hi everyone,

We've been keeping an eye on Wilma as it comes nearer to Florida, but we thought it would be hitting so far south of us in Orlando that we wouldn't have much more than a good rainstorm, but they just announced that all WDW parks will be closed tomorrow! Most schools and govt. buildings are too, but for the parks to close means it's going to hit closer than we thought. Oh well, it gives me more time to get some scrapping done...

Renae

Yes, there is LOTS of rain there. We wondered if Noah and I were going to be able to get out yesterday- we got out late but we did get out. My sister is still there- she is suppose to leave tomorrow.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: She has already planned on her flight getting cancelled!

Celeste,

So far OIA is still open, but the smaller airports have closures planned.

I'm sad we missed you, but we do understand how busy family can keep you. Eric's dad will be here for 3 weeks in Dec. and we're planning his trip now. Even with just one person, there's a lot to plan for, he's elderly and will need extra care on long days.

Okay Bob.. you don't have to laugh quite THAT hard!!! :rotfl2: I will probably die when I finally get to see this........:faint: ......

O.K. maybe it was only :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

Still it was one of the hightlights.

You guys take care with the storm.

Steve... know what you mean about being closer to the center of the restaurant ;) BUT I wouldn't change our table 12 either... PLUS, we had the magical neighbors from Table 9... it was a GREAT neighborhood to dine it!

Now... if they could have only gotten parfait/sundae dishes for the icecream in the late dining! :rotfl2: (private Table 12 joke with me and Lee!)

I specifically asked about table numbers on the Wonder when I was on for the Member Cruise. Table numbers do get moved around as do tables. So table 9 could have moved around from one cruise to another. I agree-it's who you are sitting with that makes it "magical"!

Linda... Table 52 was also a GREAT table :goodvibes Only had it for 4 days, but had a blast with LOTS of Magic, and lots of dropped cakes! :rotfl2: Those poor waiters, with the messes we left them with to clean up! ;)

HURRICANE UPDATE......

LESLIE & JOE (DisneyPinDiva)

I just wanted everyone to know that I just got off the phone with Leslie and she said that they survived the "eye of the hurricane". There are lots of trees down and they no longer have a screen enclosure over their pool but they are safe. She said that they have been without power since 7 am this morning. She said it is unknown how long they will be without power as there are 3.2 million people without power.

RENAE & ERIC (auntrenae)

I also spoke to Renae and they too survived the storm. Renae asked me to post because their internet connection is down. She said they got rain and some wind. She said that WDW has already re-opened.

So glad that they are safe.

Hey, we had 52 on our only other Disney cruise!!! I guess it may not have been in the same spot but we had a great time. It was on the Western Caribbean and we actually had the same server and head server (Navneet & Alain) we had on the repo cruise!

Hi Angela :wave2:

I was reading a trip report by a lady just back from the 4 day Wonder and she said the only disappointing thing about her cruise was being "stuck" at table 9 in the dining rooms - she said you are behind the serving stations and miss all the action.

Obviously, she had the wrong folks with her because I wouldn't trade my table 9 experience for the world...by the way...were we behind serving stations in the restaurants???? because I don't remember missing out on any of the action in the dining rooms!!!!

Hi Elaine! Sorry I've been away from this thread so much, but I always had reminders sent to my e-mail at work. Now that I'm not there anymore, I've tried to change my e-mail to my home address, but for some reason it's just not working.

That was the one thing I didn't like about Table 9 - it was right behind a serving station and blocked our view of the dining room. It wasn't too bad in Parrot Cay or Lumiere's, but we sure were jammed in in Animator's, being right up against the wall and everything. But as the others have pointed out, it sure didn't keep us from having fun! I love my Table 9 family! Maybe it was a good thing most of the other diners were "protected" from our shenanigans! :goodvibes

I could use some pixie dust from my fellow repo cruisers. I was laid off from my job on the 14th. I'm enjoying my time off, but unemployment isn't going to pay the mortgage. I hope I find something soon!

Angela

So glad to hear everyone is safe and sound....thank you Elaine for posting! :grouphug:

I wanted to share some family news with all my disboard family...Michael and I have been in the process of trying to adopt a child for approximately two years. We completed our home study and finalized our home for foster care one year ago and have been waiting patiently (kind of ;) ) since then. Well, as with everything in life, when it rains it pours (no pun intended :umbrella: ). We bought a house in Napa and when I called our social worker to inform her that we would be moving she just asked when and a few other details. Within a week, she called us to tell us that we had been matched with a little girl. :cloud9: So, in the last three weeks, we have bought a house, sold a house (almost...today we hear offers), and have a new child joining our family!
Jasmine is three years old and will be our "forever" child this weekend! She is a very loving child, who is excited about having a big sister (Quincy) and a family. Here is a picture of the girls after their bath last night. What a pair! princess: princess:

Nope not yet...but then again she hasn't had time to recover...since the cruise she been back to Disneyland and San Diego and to Walt Disney World!!!!!!

Little Blue has been quite a busy fish! With all the trips she's taken, she's had to clone herself TWICE to be everywhere she needs to be. There's a Decatur, Georgia Dory; a Lawrenceville, Georgia Dory; and also a Stoney Creek Dory. She's quite the well-traveled fish!

The only thing I would have liked more is to have Table 9 more in the middle of the restaurant. It was a little difficult to watch the Animator's Palate show and some of the others since we were against a wall. Also, some of the pictures taken when it was light out (like the character breakfast) came out really dark since there was a window behind us in Parrot Cay.

But there is no way I would trade my Table 9 experience for ANYTHING!!!

You guys are what made a great trip amazing!

-steve

Steve, I remember one bad moment you had at Table 9 - when you sampled the Lingonberry Cheese Pudding! Margaret was correct when she declared it "disgusting." I'll never forget the look on your face, especially because I have it on tape! :earboy2:
