POEMS:

Georgie,

Did you write a poem about scrapping on the Magic? Do you have a link to all the ones you wrote about our trip? If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to use them in my scrapbook.

Renae

Hi Renae! Boy you guys are scrapping up a storm! I am envious... wish we lived closer :flower:

Any poems I wrote are embedded somewhere in this thread... yes, I should have copied them somewhere for safe keeping, but, I did not. Thanks for your thoughts... they put a smile :teeth: on my face!

HANGING THE HUBCAP PIN:
Here's what I did to hang the pin... Removed the front covering and cleaned both sides well with a lint-free cloth... Took a piece of tape and got all the fiberglass-like threads from the blue pin backing... Removed the blue velveteen backing (pin attached) and put double sided tape on all the folded edges (to keep the pin from leaning forward when it is hung on the wall... Put the toothed pin hanger on the back of the shadow box (the upper wood part)... Put the pin/backing back in the box, made sure the sides stuck to the wood... Put 2 beads of glue on the lips of the wooden front and slid the front back into the frame... Let the glue dry... Tapped the nail in the wall... Hung the Hubcap Pin! YIPEE!!! LOOKS GREAT! :Pinkbounc

OUR KEYS:
We got a call yesterday afternoon from DCL. They did not find our keys! I can't imagine where both keys are now! Somehow, I still thing they are on the MAGIC... Looks like we better get some replacements made... and QUICK! :rotfl2:

MY TOE:
Well, looks like I over did it with the toe. I was so excited to be pain free, Joe took me to a local Farmer's Market yesterday. In my rush to get around, I felt a click... then another one followed by a bit of shooting pain :sad2: Oh well... back to hop-along! :rotfl2:

OUT WEST MINI-MEET:

Hey! Hope you all had fun yesterday! Yes, we're all jealous, but in a good-hearted way! :lovestruc

Take a pic and show us, Georgie. We have ours sitting on top of the Organ.

You lost your keys?? The WTTK keys from the ship??

Georgie,

Don't worry, I'll find your poems, they're great! When I find them, do you want me to email them to you so you have a copy? They are so good, you should put them in a binder somewhere. Really!

Take care of that toe, no more shopping at farmers markets for you till you're better, lol...

looks like you did a great job with your hubcap pin. Congrats!

Renae

Leslie,

I tried to call Mouse Surplus to see if they'd be open over the holiday, and the number has been disconnected. Must be because of the move. Sorry!

Georgie,

I found 2 of your poems, YO HO and the one about Airborne... I'm going to use both of them in my scrapbook. The boards were a big part of the buildup for this incredible cruise, and I have to have a page about all the hoopla, shopping, and stress everybody was going through so the whole book makes sense. Your poems will make a lot of sense out of all that. Thanks so much for making lighthearted fun of it all!

Renae

Hi Renae! :sunny:

I did some searches on what key words I could remember and came up with:
p. 708 #10610
p. 776 #11640
p. 888 #13306
p. 902 #13520

The last one... I think it's the last one is Leslie's GREAT peon about TOMORROW!!! I was singing that one the whole time I was packing! :goodvibes

Have a special day! :flower:

Just reading through some of the pages of posts right before the cruise brings back so many GREAT memories. What a great bunch of people to share a once in a lifetime vacation with! Now you scrappers are capturing those memories in a tangible way! Maybe you'll be done just in time for our REUNION CRUISE IN 2007! ;)

So glad everyone had a good time. :Pinkbounc

Hey fellow scrappers,

I was just on www.bargainpack.com and they have a LOT of disney stickers, paper, and die cuts. Leslie, they even have VILLIANS! Go to Disney in the left margin, and look on page 4 for Maleficent and a couple of others.

Renae

Hi everyone! :sunny:

I finally uploaded all of our photos! :cheer2: :cheer2:
Now if I can figure out how to link the site...I'll share with everyone!

Although I am going to try to make a scrapbook, I know it is going to take me forever! So, in the meantime, I made a book online with Kodak Gallery (formerly OFoto) and received it last Friday. It turned out GREAT! So for anyone wanting to put together something quick...check it out! There is also a coupon for 40% off!

Laurie: Your pictures are great. The children are beautiful

Thanks for sharing them

Leslie

I went to the scrapbook store today and picked up your stickers. They are the same ones on the web site Renae provided the link to. I will your stickers in the mail to you this week.

Elaine

Elaine,

Cool, I've never seen those in a store, not even the one I went to today. Good job getting them for Leslie!

I stocked up on Bazzil cardstock, now I can do my Curacao and Canal pages!

It really helps when the owner of the scrapbook store is a Disney fan. She carries a HUGE selection of Disney stickers and paper.

Elaine

P.S. the stickers are made by a company called Sandylion which is located about an hour from my home. I wonder if they sell discounted stickers!!!!!!

Just a heads up if you booked a cruise on board

Check your confirmation documents you receive from DCL. We booked the 10 night Christmas cruise 2006 and I got my confirmation notice on Friday. It had that I still owed money on my deposit yet I had paid the amount Danielle requested ($500) be put down. Well it appears she did not charge the correct deposit amount ($700) so technically my reservation wasn't valid. I asked what would have happened if I hadn't noticed the additional Amount Due line on the statement and she said I would have received a reminder from DCL stating that the deposit amount was $700 but that I had only paid $500.

If you booked a 7 day the deposit amount is $250 pp, anything over 7 days is $350 pp.

Gee, spoken like a true accountant!!! :goodvibes Thanks for the info, Elaine! Danielle is probably going to hear a lot about that!!!

Elaine,

If Sandylion is anything like Mrs. Grossmans in California, I'd give them a call and see if you can get in on a tour. Even if they don't do them on a regular basis, they would probably let you see some of the factory. It would be really fun! I did a tour of Mrs. Grossmans several years ago, and after the tour they gave me free rein of a big display of stickers!!! I got loads of my favorite ones, and got to mee Andrea Grossman. Way cool!!!!

How are your pages coming ladies?
