FINALLY !!!!

One little ray of sunshine for the past 3 days. What comes walking into my lab but the cutest tiny baby snapping turtle. They must have just hatched in the last day or so, he/she was smaller than a quarter coin. And yes, they can bite right away, when I picked him up he hissed and then chomped my hand, no damage, he is too tiny. Just had the guys bring him down to the water, wish I could have kept it..

Okay, now it is time to get back to work...

Home tonight, will make decadent Pecan turtle double chocolate brownies for the parking lot party Saturday. I will vacuum seal then so they will be super fresh..

Been on on some very important errands this a.m. - trying to check the boards and seeing if anything new is happening or if anyone heard anything from DCL re: what is happening??

Guess more of our group left today already and hope they are planted soon in MCO.

We will be receiving blankets as Castaway Club members (so they say) and according to DCL we will be entering into the port of Los Angeles at 6 a.m. for welcome festivities, so we will be circling out in the water until probably around 5 a.m. on disembark day.

Big send off on Saturday with media. Of course, our banner should be on the front page of the Florida newspapers!

Headed to lunch for my BD. Back in a couple of hours!

got woken up to bad thunder & lightning this am so than go run errands now back home gotta finish cleaning house so everything is in place while I'm gone my nieces will have fun they get the whole house to themselves...now the sky is getting dark and windy more rain on its way

We will be receiving blankets as Castaway Club members (so they say) and according to DCL we will be entering into the port of Los Angeles at 6 a.m. for welcome festivities, so we will be circling out in the water until probably around 5 a.m. on disembark day.

Big send off on Saturday with media. Of course, our banner should be on the front page of the Florida newspapers!

OK folks...are we going to post a thread in the main cruise forum for "Live from the Magic..."???

Just want to keep things type-A and organized . I hate when there is more than one LIVE thread...just requires too much thought and that mouse clicking is oh so hard!

I assume we can keep our own thread going here...

Maybe we can get a voicemail distribution list for daily DIS updates in the staterooms.

I like the idea of having one central thread on the Main Board that all of us can update. I have visions of every computer terminal being manned by one of us posting the exact same thing at the exact same time.

LOL, thank goodness I am not the only one cleaning today. Our neighbors will watch the house while we are gone.

About done though..last thing will be to wipe up the last of the doggie footprints tomorrow morning after I drop them at the pet resort and spa

OK I say no "Live" postings until you are in the cruise terminal. Agreed? It's a democracy after all. Or at least be waiting in a car outside the terminal while screaming LET US IN LET US IN LET US IN before you post. Then it's open season.

Until then we can talk amongst ourselves here...

Panic should set in tonight after I get in from the store...all the things I need to do...did the "letters" for house and cat and dog sitters. Looks like wine arrived today in FL and my books arrive today at home. All things are coming together.

Only working 4 hrs tomorrow.....hmm, more accurately....only phsyically present in the office 4 hrs tomorrow..........

I am trying to book reservation for Paolo's online but have difficulty in choosing the date(s). Normally we try to find out our dinner rotation first and then book it so it won't coincide with special events in the dinning room (pirate's, formal, sem-formal night, etc.). Does anyone have a schedule or know when these nights will be? Since this will be a 14 days cruise, could we have 2 nights instead of 1 night at Paolo's?

Is it me or are the boards slow?

Packed twister and the bottle of Applekorn for drunk twister. Way too many pairs of shoes as well. Packed enough clothes for 14 days give or take a pair of socks.
Puppies get dropped off Friday on the way to the mousehouse at the puppy palace. other than that I just have to pick up yarn for a baby blanket I'm working on and I'm done. Yippee!

Called DCL a little while ago. Asked the question re: how early we are allowed to get to the Port and not stand outside on the street with our luggage and no knowing when we can check it - even tho we will not be able to check in and stand in line.

We can get there as early as 10:00 a.m. - that is when the terminal opens for us.

But we can go ahead and check our luggage and then wait to enter the terminal around 10:00 a.m.

I was advised that there will be "lots" of media people there - so I am sure that it will open before 10:00 a.m., that is my opinion.

Tried to get more information from the CM, but she was hesitate to say anything else. You can tell when they don't tell you something, as they keep talking.

The formal nights are Monday 5/16 and Thursday 5/26 (Cabo)
Semi Formal for Thursday 5/19 and Saturday 5/21
All subject to change of course... but the 5/16 one is probably a for sure... they usually always do the Captains reception on the night of the first day at Sea
Tropical Night = 5/18
Pirate Night = 5/23
Still only one dinner at Palo, One brunch and one High Tea. Good luck! Go back a few pages and check out the update, and if you read back a bit, you'll find Kay's calendar with all the nights, activities and lunch themes on it!
