Hi,this is my first post, usually Sharon asks all the questions but I'd like to know from anyone who is familiar with "SHUTTERS" on the Magic; Do they download your digital pictures to a disc and if so how many pictures (2MP) can fit on a disc and how much do they charge for it? Thanks, Jean-Marc (J-M) !
Yes They will burn pictures to A Disc , Cost Was Not That Bad, But do not remember what it was..

Lets See You can get Alot of Pictures on the disc..

Jeff is up to date on the magnets. If you do not have an asterisk next to your name on the master list we haven't done one because we didn't get your info. We will make one with your DIS name and hometown if provided. If you don't want this email us your info at monorailpilot@gmail.com
thanks

Jeff and Jen thanks SO much for all that you have done putting the list and magnets together. This list has proved invaluable to me and I'm sure many others. Just wanted to let both of you how much I appreciate all your hard work!

Thanks once again to everyone who has PM'd or posted about Rex.. It is so touching to know that people I have not even met in person yet.... can be such good friends in tough times. :grouphug: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I believe the pic to CD cost at Shutters was $12.95. I believe a CD can hold 640mb so basically you could load a full 512 card on there with room to spare. We have a 512 and a 128 so when those two are full we'll have them burn a CD. That's a LOT of pictures though, esp at 2mp.

I noted that the site says you need to cancel your Palo reservations two days before embarkation or be charged fees.

I hate letting them go to waste and am thinking about booking a brunch and tea for 5-6 people on different days, if I can get others to come along. Now that I look at all the stuff I have booked, I think I'd better stick with what I have, but it's tempting.

Thanks for the info about the dowload of digital pics at SHUTTTERS, I think I'll get a big memory card rather than a small one,...Jean-Marc

Announcement for all of you that responded to the "Ladies night at Palo" The online system would only allow me to book for 1-2 people, so I will go when we board to make the reservations for us. I might need another person to come along with me because I'm not sure if they are going to limit the amount of staterooms that one person can book for.

Here are the "ladies" who I have listed to attend:

Margaret (mvlmeco)
Kim and Bette (bettemom)
Lynda (videogal1) and of course Cash!
Michelle (shellofclearh20)
Kathy (disforever)

I was thinking of trying for Sunday Tuesday May 17? Or maybe just adding to the ressie that I made for Friday May 20th. Any input from you guys?

Thanks!
Robin

Looks good here. You'll prolly need to take the stateroom numbers when you go...They asked for them when Annae got me a Palo ressie in December...

I can't imagine how you feel, when we lost Grandma Josie my heart broke and someone sent me this.... it helped <a little>

HEAVEN'S DOGGY DOOR

My best friend closed his eyes last night,
As his head was in my hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And OH...his many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge,
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart that’s filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said,
"You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a 'doggy-door"!

Cabin 7042 only $9.99, we use whiteout.

Apparently the inhabitants of cabin 7042 are blondes and have found an alternate use for that which they use to correct mistakes on the computer screen. :) hehehehehe

Can I put into words how much I LOVE being able to book online?!?!?!

While each room is limited to one each of every Palo meal type, I don't think there's a limit on spa reservations. My mom gave me a huge list of things she wanted, and I got them all no sweat. I was even able to work the schedule so that we were all there at the same time almost every sea day!

There are still lots of things available, but I'm sure they're holding things for the cruise. In addition to some of the treatments not being on that list, which I'm pretty sure are still offered, I think most treatments offer two sessions at each available time. There's only one per time slot online.

We didn't try for any cabana massages. When we've done that before, it was just too hot. The fans weren't circulating the air well, so we're happy enough to pay less and just enjoy massages onboard.

I think I forgot to share earlier (you probably already figured it out), if you have REAS or concierge, etc. and you book something through Debbie for Palo (and spa maybe?) it will not show up online.

I made some of my ressies online last night but called Debbie because we have a party of 7 one night (instead of "5-6") so she noted that and then that ressie got sucked out of the online system. WOOSH!

By the way....
I have frequently used my credit cards outside the US- I have never had any trouble with my Amex credit card. However, I have had to call Visa and tell them I'm going out of the country....the one time I didn't and I tried to buy stuff in St. Thomas (still the US)- the charge didn't initally do through. I had to call collect and tell them where I was- and THEN it went through.

Save yourselves the hassel and call before you leave.

I strongly suggest everyone call ahead and let your credit card company(s) know. On our first cruise, we made it through a week of travelling before the cruise and found a nice letter on our door from Princess mid-way through the cruise. Our card had been flagged and was blocked. We had to wait until we got to the next port and call them to explain the situation. That is how we learned to call.

On our next cruise to Mexico, we called ahead and THE SAME THING HAPPENED!!!!! I called from the next port (not cheap from Mexico, mind you) and they said they usually flag inexpensive charges from Mexico since those are the most suspicious. Better safe than sorry I guess!

I'm on the other repo cruise. My sis just talked to someone she thought was on this cruise at Disneyland. Just wondering who it was

So, did anyone do anything special for Cinco de Mayo??

We love this, although I could eat Mexican food everyday.

So, I made a special meal with the help of foodtv.com..lol.

Started with Watermelon margharitas, guac/salsa and chips.
On to mexican black bean soup garnished with bacon, sourcream, green onions and cilantro.
Next..Pork and chicken fajitas.
Desert...Grilled pears with a mexican vanilla/caramel sauce over ice cream.

It all came out great.

Bob is off to poker night with the guys. :cool1: All I told him was...
big money, big money..lol, to cover the spa reservations we just made.

Can't wait to see you all,

Cheryl

We had our second annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at work. A group of us make and bring in dishes and charge per plate to raise money for our American Cancer Society Relay for Life team. We had a much better turnout this year thanks to the rain which kept our crews indoors. We do a few fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money as none of us are very good at soliciting!

I received good praise for the great enchiladas I (okay Amy) made. Well, I picked out the cheese for the nachos so I had a good feeling of contributing. :rolleyes1

NO I think we are all the same. I know if I wake up I start thinking about all the jobs I still need to complete, if I need to purchase anything else and then about the cruise itself. It's now wonder we can't sleep !!!
It could also be that we do have the same name. :Pinkbounc

bye for now
