No Dr. Pepper, sorry. How about some iced tea instead? :)
Ok, call me weird :rolleyes1 but I am somewhat afraid of iced tea dispensers in restaraunts, etc. How often do they clean those things?

Might stick to diet coke and rum. Now there is a staple of life! :goodvibes

Do any of my new friends want to see the city where I live????

Well you can tomorrow night on tv. On Sunday May 1st on CBS at 9 pm is a movie called "Riding the Bus With My Sister" starring Rosie O'Donnell and Andie MacDowell which is based on the inspiring true story about the unbreakable bond between two sisters and it was filmed right here in HAMILTON ONTARIO CANADA. I know what you're saying "but you're from Stoney Creek not Hamilton"...well it's a long story...Stoney Creek was it's own city until the Provincial Government made us (as well as 5 other cities/towns) amalgamate with Hamilton in 2001 and we actually fought to be able to keep using the name Stoney Creek so while I say I live in Stoney Creek in reality it is now part of Hamilton.

So I thought if you want to see my neck of the woods, not sure what parts of the city they used but I do know they used our public transit buses in the movie....I wonder if they took off all the HSR (Hamilton Street Railway) logos or not.

Can't wait to watch the movie.

Elaine

Just a quick reminder that you can see my hometown in the CBS movie "Riding the Bus With My Sister" at 9 pm tonight.

Am waiting patiently for it to come on at 9 pm tonight. Have TIVO programmed also, in case I happen to fall asleep. I saw an interview with Rosie this week and it has been a decade since she made a movie. It should be a good one.

Cool Thanks Elaine..

We have a tv card in our pc can watch tv and surf at the same time ..

It also allows us to record programs to the hard drive for viewing later..
so all the reality tv will get recorded while we are away on vacation..

We never shut our pc down..
it just hibernates..

Elaine, Do you think that it is necessary to check with Lumieres before hand so that they can make sure they can handle this many people at once?
Kay, tomorrow is docs day in Indianapolis. We tracked our docs here and they have been here since 6pm Friday. This can only mean one thing. Lots and lots of possibly dancing bananas. I don't think the bananas like me.

Hello All,
I was wondering, are there any Disneyana ConventionEARS going with us?
Or any WDAC ConventionEARS?
Also, I am confused, DCL says that we are not allowed to carry any food or drinks on the ship, can anyone verify or dispute this info.

Also, can you just rent fins at Castaway Cay, and if so how much? I seem to recall this conversation, but it was like a month ago! :rotfl:

I didn't see the conversation but I believe they were $9 per pair when we went last year. I don't know if children's pairs were cheaper or not.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! (wouldn't be the first time today!) :teeth:

Kim & Bette suggested that we meet outside Lumiere's and then "all troop" in together, so let's meet outside Lumiere's by the Mickey statue at 8 am and then we can "invade" the dining room together!!!!

LOL, I'll gladly let her do the talking on that one! I'm sure Disney is mad enough at me for the 60 of us at late dining...and being picky about where everyone sits...and having the nerve to request APL! :rotfl2:

Hi Dopeylover54,

No we're not "Disneyaddicts" , but we have been to all the Disneyana Conventions (except the 2nd one in CA, and we're kinda glad we missed it). Was so disappointed when the conventions ended, that we've substituted pin events and cruises. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Still no docs here, called TA yesterday, they checked safe and nothing, so finally broke down and called DCL, they said sent via 3 day on the 27th so tomorrow should be the day.

AHHHHH - I just received a summons notice for jury duty on May 25th.

Can someone help me with a very creative excuse to get out of it?

You don't need to be creative. You can show them your tickets and documents and they should just put you over to the next calendar docket.

That is what they do here in Florida - should not be a problem.

You should get it in right away - possibly there is a phone no. to call them???? But also put it in writing.

Just tell them that after breakfast in your jammies, scavenger hunts, book trading, cabin tours, scrapbooking, cigar and spirits, sailaway parties, pirate night, tag, and everything else scheduled on this voyage, that there is simply no way you could pull off jury!
