Let's set up book exchanges for May 19 and 24, at lunch in Parrot Cay (as suggested by Lynn and Scott, thanks for that suggestion.)

Bring your own book.

If you want your books back, write your name and stateroom number in them.

Any unwanted books will be donated to the ship's library if they will allow it.

I have no idea what a good time for lunch is. I'm thinking around noon.

Oh, and I don't see why it couldn't also be for folks who might be looking for a book to borrow and don't have one to exchange.

Managed to buy what i needed today,including for pirates night and also luggage straps and we started packing,all the stuff that is now spread in 3 bedrooms.

W have a rubber bendy dagger with a plastic handle for pirates night,do you think this will be an issue for the airlines in checked luggage.

We have 3 pieces of luggage so the idea is that the stuff for each piece is in a different bedroom.DW is very well organised in doing this.
We hope to finish most of this tomorrow and then we will know if everything will fit in.

I love the idea of a book exchange! Are we thinking paperbacks because of weight and size, or anything in any size? I have some books I've read and would be happy to exchange... If Disney doesn't allow us to donate them to the ship's library, what about donating them to the Mazatlan orphanage? I know some would be too old for them, but the teachers might like them, and use them to learn english... just a thought...

Scott: 3 or 4 fill you up?? What's that? PLATEFULLS???

Ok very little plates. Well until about three years ago it would have been three platefuls. I had gastric bypass surgery (RNY for you medical folks) all most three years ago, It was about a 2 months after the Western Inaugural Cruise, so 3-4 maybe 5 will fill me up. When I went in for the surgery I was 296 pounds, healthy but starting to feel the effects of my obesity. Now I average about 190-195, I was 198 this AM. My sister and BIL wonder how I can enjoy a cruise while not being able to eat as much as I used to. Not a problem at all, just not as much is all. SO now I am a hyperactive thinner guy verses the hyperactive fat guy I was.

Reference RMO, they really aren’t that bad, I would not steer you wrong!!

Wow.. that's incredible. Good for you... what willpower... now I will have more shrimp to eat then...LOL Seriously though.. I have to start watching as well... my cholesterol genes are bad.... and mine has been creeping upwards lately. After the cruise I will be good....or at least that's what I keep saying now...

Renae, great idea about donating the books, or maybe there is a crew library where they could be dropped.

Bummer I guess I will have to leave my boarding cutlass at home.

OK here is a question, in the laundry room on the ship, is there a spray bottle of water to use whilst ironing??? Lynn and I think there is as we are tearing up the house to find a little sray bottle we travel with.

Peter, I came very close to getting a 20 gig Ipod. If I breakdown I will be emailing the all-knowing Ipod master for tips etc. How long did it take to download 100 CD’s? I thought I was the only one to like the crunchies in the coffee. Chocolate covered beans are pretty good.



For those of you without documents, tomorrow when you wake up just say “today is the day.”

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Special Dining nights announced By DCL. = Formal nights 5/16 and 5/26. Semiformal 5/19 and 5/21. Tropical Night 5/18 Pirate night 5/23 Full List Here These Are Subject to change.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

I think in fairness to anyone doing the updates, there has to be a cut off. It shouldn't be any other way.

Some people are leaving for the WDW area long before the day before the cruise and they have to finish their personal schedules also.

Here is some Imagineering notes on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland.

Forward thinking and backward perceptions. Tony Baxter, Senior Vice President, Creative Development for Disney, described the inspiration behind Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland in The Imagineering Way. They wanted the ride to back up in the as the giant boulder comes toward the car, however, this had never been done before, nor could it be done. With eighteen vehicles on the track at the same time, there would be collisions. What actually happens is your vehicle stops and the walls and ceiling keep moving, giving you the feeling you are moving backwards. Where did they get this idea? Think car wash!

Steve...Where is Cabo Wabo and these coconut shrimp of which I hear tell???

It is Sammy Hagar's restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. They also sell their own line of tequila you might have seen in stores which is easily identifiable by the bottles.

You can't miss it if you are walking in town from the pier. It's pretty close and on your left hand side as you are walking down the main street. On our cruise there in 2003, we got to port so early, nothing was open as we walked around town. The Cabo Wabo was the only place I heard of that was open so we stopped in.

For any other "Red Heads" out there, we just went to his new place in Lake Tahoe (Tahoe Wabo) which was nice too. I was bummed they didn't have the coconut shrimp. In fact the menu was very different. They did have some incredible nachos though!
