I'm happy to report that my front door lock is working like a charm. I must open it 10,000 times a day looking for that little brown box. Still nothing but if the docs don't show up today, I'll bet that they'll be here on Monday.

Hey RCostello, I took our horoscope to heart and have 3 pairs of new shoes to break in over the next two weeks, oh, and a new set of luggage. I didn't order the shirts either. I GOT CONFUSED!!!

If you haven't already, don't forget you can book your Palo dinner, brunch, and high tea, as well as your massage time with Debbie ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line with the masses when you first get on the ship.

I called Debbie this morning to change our massage. It was originally scheduled for an hour before the DIS wine tasting party. Not good... That wine would have wiped DH and I out!

Debbie also told me that they will be closing reservations for REAS early next week. So, if anyone needs to make any changes, make sure to do it soon!

Walmart shopping update....

Attention Wally world shoppers, the super walmart by me has the CUTEST disney socks! little tigger pompoms, the cutie eeyore and many more... also they have beuaitful sarongs for $10, not Disney tho... I passed on the blinkie flipply floppy things, very cute but have to many flip flops already


No docs here yet, but UPS doesn't deliver until 4ish here so we'll see...

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

You can contact disney cruise line directly. When you are on the cruise website, do a stateroom gift search. That will give you the phone number to call to order the birthday decorations. They are a great price, and now even come with a cake (so it says, that wasn't in the description when we ordered our stateroom decorations, nice addition) They will be hung when you arrive.

I have the La Vida Mickey CD and I love it! It's lots of fun to listen to. The last time I was at WDW, they were playing the CD at the stores at the Boardwalk.

For all of you who have arranged transportation from the port in L.A., what time are you asking to be picked up? I was thinking 9 a.m., but what if there special celebrations and things going on? I have no idea what time to tell them!

When I arranged our pick up, our service told us 10:30am was when they usually do port pickups. Gives a little time if anything is going on, so 10:30am it is!

They definately close the area to incoming traffic. If DCL isn't ready to let you into the terminal when you pull up to the security guard standing in the middle of the road..he makes you go over to a spare parking lot and wait. So, if they say 10:30 this time, I bet it will be pretty close.

Is that just for the drop-off point? We are driving our rental car in and plan to be there between 9:30 and 10 to take pictures and video. I was planning on dropping Amy off with the luggage at that shuttle pickup lot across the street, returning the car to Budget, and then catching their shuttle back.

Did they say or does anyone know if they ever close that area off to incoming traffic?

I am so jealous! DCL let you book the tea and brunch too?!? When we did the REAS in December, DCL was adamant that we could not pre-book the brunch or tea, only the dinner, so we STILL had to do the boarding scramble. Oh well, glad it worked for you!

I sent DCL an E-mail last night and asked about the tipping in cash vs charging the tips to your room and paying with credit card. DCL responded today and said that no matter how you tip, the total amount of the tip goes to your serving staff and room host. In addition, if you use a credit card to pay your room charges (and you charged your tips to the room account), the credit card fee (the amount the credit card company charges DCL for the use of the card) is not deducted from the tip amount - so the serving staff and room host get 100% of the tip amount.

Anyway - this is what DCL said. It will be interesting to ask the same question to a few of our past servers that we know will be aboard for the repo.
