I am also at work but can get away to this site every so often. It helps for sure.

Yes, about the only thing getting me through the day is sneaking over to this site every once in a while and e-mailing my sister at home. At least I've started packing already. She hasn't even begun yet! :earseek:

If you bring a blank -R DVD with you......I can burn you a copy of the show. I have the Tivo with DVD recording capabilities. :)

Serena,

Is that offer open to me as well? If it is, I'll bring a DVD-R and a mailer with postage for you to send it back to me after you make the copy. Thank you so much if you're willing to do this for me! :worship:

Also, I have a question about TIVO -- is there a monthly fee for it, like there is for cable? If so, how much is it? :teacher:

I admire you for volunteering to work. I sure wish I was getting paid for this. I have to do it for free because I'm an exempt employee!

This is me right about now: :badpc:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't believe they are making you work a full extra day... ON A SATURDAY.. and not paying you overtime or something!!! Are you at least getting comp days off at some point?? Geez, you are a saint for putting up with that!!:rolleyes2

Got up early today... ended up running around to a few stores... BAD IDEA..... ended up with 2 pair capris, 2 pr pants 2 tank tops and a camp shirt.... then I came home and bought a wetsuit online. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! I sure hope the wetsuit fits.... will try it out in the pool once it arrives....:rotfl: :rotfl:that should give DH a chuckle.
AND... you've all got me wanting to run out and get Tivo..... when I have no real need for it! Can you say SHOPAHOLIC!!!

Just went to the ABC website to see what LOST is - I had never even heard of it. Sounds interesting. Wish you guys would let me know when there is a good show on that I should be watching!

Have great weekend all - I can't believe only 4 weeks until we're cruisin'!

Wow!
I have been out for a couple of weeks and the boards have been BUSY!
I tried to catch up but think I might have better luck, just trying to keep up from here on.
My Mom had surgery last week to remove an egg sized mass from behind her ear. So, I went down to help her when she came home from the hospital. We didn't know about the surgery until the day before it happened, it all went so fast. She is doing well now. Then the day I got back hubby was off to a conference. Ugh. Its been a nutty week. We are soo looking forward to this trip. And to hear that docs are coming ...YAHOOOOO!
I have been spending all my spare time ;) shopping for the trip, and I think should stop, or we will need bigger bags.
So, have you guys talked about vaccinations? Our health dept. says we should make sure our Tetanus and Hep A are updated. Has anyone heard anything different?
TiVo! Oh, how we love it.
We bought ours years ago and then last year when we realized how small it was compared to what was on the market now, hubby convinced me to let him void the warranty and hack into ours. So, he replaced the hard drive with one that never seems to get full (I can't tell you how many shows are on it right now, pages and pages). And now we can log into it from where ever we are and schedule things or delete things from it. Which comes in handy when we are on trips and realize we don't want 2 weeks worth of news or "Good Eats" waiting for us when we get back.
I like the idea of multiple TiVos. Hmmmmm, we will have to see if we have any money left after the cruise. ;)
Hey, anyone else see the lime green Mickey antenna balls at the Disney Store? I just can't pass up a new antenna ball. :cool1:

Hi Danicaw,

Welcome back. Glad to hear your mom came through surgery and is doing well.

Everything I've read indicated no vaccinations were required. I hope that is correct!

Wow, your husband sounds like he's very handy with computers, to be able to do that with your TIVO!

I haven't been to the Disney Store, so haven't seen the lime green antenna balls. Nor have I seen them on any cars around here.

Hi Beth,

I can make you a copy too. :) If anyone else would like a copy let me know. I'm also going to be taping a lot of other shows(I'm obsessed w/ TV). If there is anything else that you don't want to miss, let me know and I will tell you if I'm taping it or will have space to tape if for you. :O)

To answer your Tivo question,
The monthly fee for Tivo is 12.95/month(or $299 lifetime subsciption) any additional Tivo's in the same household are 6.95/month.

Oh no no no, not one extra day on a Saturday for no pay. It's FOUR Saturdays with no pay. Today is Saturday #1. :sad2:

And NO comp time. They told us our reward is we get to keep our jobs. At this point, I'm not sure I want my job anymore!!! :teeth:

Lynn is into the antenna balls. She changes them out with the seasons and holidays. Currently she has the DCL Captain Mickey on the Jeep.

Thank you so much!

For $12.95 or $299, I guess I can live without TIVO for a while yet. I can see it would be a great convenience at times, but I mostly gave up TV when I got connected to the internet, so it wouldn't be cost effective for me. I watch about four shows a week and only Lost has me seriously hooked. Thanks again!

Kelly, Acupuncture is not that bad, both Lynn and I have used it. Mine was for work stress related, and it was rather plesant. Worked well for me and I would do it again when needed. Actually a DCL or any Disney vacation, or any vacation works wonders for me and stress levels.

Geez, Kelli, what were you doing to hurt your knee? Haven't we warned you enough times that you're getting too old to participate in the long jump? ;) ;)

But don't worry about the acupuncture -- I've had it and it didn't hurt (much). I have to say I enjoyed my pool therapy more, though. So maybe you should hold out for that. :earboy2:

Seriously, take it easy and get better quick!

We have a small world here in the Bay Area.

Kara, DH, Steve & Amy are all going to the Jimmy Buffet concert.

DH & I are on the same plane to Orlando as Steve & Amy.

Gotta love coincidence!! :wizard:

To all of you going to the concert tonight, I am really envious! We still have to wait 4½ months, but I'll be listening. Have a good time.

Don't forget to keep your "Fins Up!" "FINS TO THE LEFT" & "FINS TO THE RIGHT" :cool1:
and "bubble, bubble, bubble" & "salt, salt, salt" & "hang on, hang on, hang on"
and most of all, remember you grass skirts! :)

Good day everyone :wave2: Four more weeks and I'm still doing last minute shopping online (Leslie, I'm right there with you in shopaholic-ville) :teeth:

I don't know if it will work, but it did for my order. Chadwicks sent me a 20% off code (cause they missed me  ) The code expires May 26, 2005, and it is off any regular priced merchandise online. The code is: 2151-05284-066 just put this in when you are checking out.

Georgie, I've been thinking good thoughts for you all morning. Let us know how it all went. (Mickey bars are always good comfort food :mickeybar , you deserve one)

I'm off to get a couple boxes for mailing, I hope to do that next week sometime?

Have a great day everyone!
Robin

With all of our luggage and extras we are taking with us, the ship is bound to sit in the water a little lower. Wouldn't ya' think? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
