Hi Everyone
We spent the day yesterday at Disneyland. Got the see Linda's (seaulater) DD perform with her group. They we great.
We had a mini dismeet. Linda (seaulater) and DH Robert, Tony (aphoenix) and DW Adrienne, Lesley (tink33) and DH Time, and Shannon (eeyorefreak) with son Sam and Mom Linda. Had a great time meeting everyone.
The park was packed! Lots of great new stuff to see and do. Everyone staying a few days after the cruise will have a great time.
See you soon!
Ken

How wonderful you guys got to meet up with each other. I know you must have had a great time.

On a spa related note:Do you think they've done away with the Alpha Capsule? I also was planning on the salt glow and that's not on the list either....

DCL says they have no info on whether they are still available onboard or not....they said to check when onboard...thanks for that!!!!!!!

I would be surprised if it is gone. It's not like it takes up much space. I would think Steiner has asked Disney to post the most popular (and expensive) spa options. I remember many other options last time we cruised. A larger offering is needed.

However, the only salt glow I want is around my margarita glass!!!

How nice of you to fill in as Rob seems to be MIA on this one....
please do not mention the word BEER TAP in my presence as I am apt to gag uncontrollably and spill my wine or fine spirits...

Hmmmm... sounds like there is some unpleasant history with beer. I'll fess up and state the reason I find gin repulsive is from a evening in college, shot glasses and an incorrect recipie for Long Island Iced Tea.

So if I install a beer tap in my home, you would not visit me? :(

Randall

Kinda bummed out that we had to cancel :confused3 , but we're definately looking forward to another Disney Cruise once I finish school...

(Maybe maiden voyage of Disney Dreams :wave2: )

Have fun everyone! :earboy2:

Thanks Lynda,

I thought I was going nutz for a moment... well, more so... ;)

Well our planning is coming along, quite well. Cool rainy day here. :umbrella:

I read on other posts that the Rainforest Room was increased to $75 to try and reduce demand. I'm sure I'll still get the daily pass even if it is $150,

In light of Randall’s Post, Lynn and I were talking and were wondering do you folks think they ever limit the number of Rainforest Room Passes??? :confused3

OM Gosh - I am 100% sure that all of us will be onboard before 4 pm or at least by 5 pm.

If not, we'll be out hunting for you

Just never liked the stuff.. to me.. it looks, smells and tastes horrid. I did down a stein of dark at the Hofbrau Haus in Germany though... probably the most beer I've ever had! :drinking1

I see the eastbound repo cruisers are very upset over the presell of the pins on our cruise.

They just got reprimanded by a moderator for bashing one of the cruisers on our cruise.

If they want the pins, they could have signed up for the westbound repo cruise instead of the eastbound cruise.

There is always someone who is not happy

Now we all know who will be in line with their 5 family members though... Just hope there's some left for the rest of us.

Ventured over to a couple other boards and was surprised that there are some people cruising with us who have never joined our thread... and are clueless as to what's going on in general. :faint: Just think of all the fun they've been missing out on... and will continue to miss out on onboard! Oh well... :confused3

I don't think they would limit the number of passes sold. They might limit the number of people who go into the room. The use of the room has very busy times and deserted times. The Spa staff may just figure we all will determine for ourselves when it is too busy and leave when we can't find anyplace to sit.

If I arrive and it is too busy, I will just annouce one of two things:

"Surprise Pin just released on Deck 3."

"Two for One drink special just announced in Promenade Lounge."

After reading these posts, I would guess that should clear out a good number of the Disboard-ers. Either way, Leslie will be out the door like shot from the cannon. :rotfl2:

Elaine,

You said it for all of us! All I can add is AMEN! You guys are the best!!!! Can't wait to see you all in O-town! As Bob Barker would say...."Come on DOWN!"

and by the way

:flower3: :rose: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL! :rose: :flower3:

My dear 4 legged kids gave me a beautiful Mickey Mothers Day card and breakfast in bed... which of course they wanted to share!

My 2 legged kids gave me the Mickey Smoothie Maker..:cool1: . and DH spray painted the feet yellow as they should be. Sorry.. I had real issues with that!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Good morning all!

Happy Mother's Day to each and every DisMom out there!!

I received a nice (early) wake up call this morning...at 3:35am (an hour ago, here in California) an earthquake (only 3.4), but centered a mile from our house, woke me and now an hour later, I'm still awake!!

Ugh! Isn't this the one day of the year, I am allowed to sleep in?? Oh well, I am going on vacation in three days!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Oh, so you missed out on the Loma Prieta quake of '89, huh? That was a doozy! Amy was living in L.A. at the time of the Northridge quake so we have each experienced a whopper in our day!

We actually have quite a few small earthquakes (mostly 4.0 and below) up here. Most we don't feel but I can relate to when we do. I feel like we just sit there still waiting for the next one. I'm still amazed by people's reactions to earthquakes around the country. They really don't phase us too much (although some warning WOULD be nice!)

We were at WDW for our honeymoon in '99 and they had a tornado watch while we were there. I thought they only had hurricanes! That freaked us out a bit. The CMs there were pretty nonchalant about it.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Dismommies out there! :earsgirl:

Hey everybody,

We finally got our sailaway gifts done too. I think you'll like them... Those of you staying at PO, I'll have a few at work that I can give you, and if we get a minute to stop by the pre-cruise wine tasting I'll bring them with me then too. Here's a hint, they don't take up much room, they don't weigh much and they should make you LOL!

Sorry to stay on the same subject......and not to bash anyone but for my own curiosity, if the "hubcap, the map, the Port Canaveral, and the Captains choice pin all go on sale on 5/14 at 5:30, does that mean we should anticipate going and lining up in advance? I might have to miss the 5:00 sailaway because I really would like a complete set for my own use, not to sell.............

I grew up in Southern California, and will never forget the one in the early 70's. Now that was scary! But we did get out of school for the day as the aftershocks kept coming and coming! That one left some cracks in people's homes that they could fold the Sunday L.A. times in half and put into the crack.
