Watching some Disney footage last night and Say these Cool looking Tile loungers ???

Peace out...Peter
Peter,
MP3? The process is not to hard but you will need a cdburner, you put in a cd and use something like winamp or windows media player. They have the ability to "record" the cd to the local hard drive as an mp3. MP3's are nice as they take up much less room than a standard audio file.

The next step is to burn the mp3's to a cd using raxio, windows media player, or whatever your favorite burner program. Most of these programs will give you the option of MP3 burn or convert to a standard audio file (which you don't want to do).

You can put something like 3-5 audio cd's on one CD setup as a MP3 cd.

especially one who doesn't like to sit still on vacation.

Cathrine, That is also me for sure, on a cruise I really thought I would be very bored, well I was very wrong.

Peter do the Rainforrest thingie, It is well worth it. We have done the mud stuff, and that is about it.

WHAT?

I could live in the spa... Even if I don't get any treatments (ask me about the seaweed wrap!) I still buy the Rainforest Room. It is such a great place to meditate, relax and unwind. Those heated tile lounge chairs are the best. And the citrus steamroom is great.

Do yourself a favor and branch our a bit. At least into the Rainforest Room! A treatment would be good too.

Randall

Ahhhhhhh... I could also live in the spa! :cloud9: That's why we don't do too many excursions in port... LOVE those loungers and the citrus steamroom too and the place is empty on port days....
Randall do tell about the seaweed wrap... always wanted to try that.... :teeth:
Also, I notice you guys are from Winter Garden and Mickbee is from Windermere.... how are you all getting to the port? Is there a good car or shuttle service from that area? Our Mouse House is in Windermere and we're still figuring out how to get to the port.

Oh you guys are just too dang Disney Smart!!!!

So, I've had this article for quite a while and it is some really interesting reading. I just checked to see if it was still available online and it is. It is from Outside Magazinem January 1999 and the article is entitled:

BLACKBEARD DOESN'T COME HERE ANYMORE

Go to this location to find it. Print it out and read about the pirate "drug" history of our own little island. (it's 12 pages of reading)

http://outside.away.com/magazine/0199/9901blackbeard.html

Enjoy!

Hello, All -
Well, this cruise just got more expensive for me! I breed dogs as a hobby, and I currently have all three females in heat at the same time. However, I calculated that puppies would be only a week or two old at cruise time :sad2: Since I can't leave these babies all alone, I must forgo a litter or two at this time. My "stud" dog is going nuts, cursing Disney under his furry breath for bad timing... Oh, well...

I was just on the Disney Cruise Line site checking to see if we had been assigned a stateroom yet (no!) but I did see that Disney has posted the rates for the internet for the 14 day cruise. It lists the Surf Disney Unlimited Plan for the 14 day for $179.99.

Ah, yes, the seaweed wrap. It's like becoming a human burrito!

You enter a treatment room that has a shower in the corner. The therapist (his/her, I'll use the female pronoun) gives you a pair of paper/disposable underwear. On the massage table are about 3 layers of towels and a giant sheet of "space blanket" material that looks suspeciously like aluminum foil. The therapist leaves, you put on the paper underwear and climb on the table.

Upon her return she takes a brush and rubs it across your skin to help remove dead skin cells. (For those of us who like their back scratched this was really nice.) Then she mixes up a concoction of mud, seaweed, and other things. She slathers this onto your body. You then lie down and she wraps you up in the foil, more towels and then a heavy "comforter." You now feel like a burrito and your body heat is trapped and you begin to sweat.

While you are cooking, she does leave the room for you to relax and breathe in the aroma. After 20 minutes you get up, go into the shower and wash off the mud -- not as easy as it sounds. She gives you another pair of paper underwear. She puts a new layer of towels and foil on the table and you climb back onto it. She wraps you up again. This time you get a scalp and foot massage for 20 minutes. Get up again, shower off again. While you are showering she is clearing the massage table.

When you are done, back onto the massage table for a 20 minute back massage. At the end of all of this you skin feels awesome. I was so relaxed I could barely move. I went to the Rainforest Room and promptly fell asleep in on of the heated tile lounge chairs.

If memory serves me right, it was $179. In my opinion, it was worth the expense. Many people complain of an aggressive sales pitch at the end of treatments. I either was so out of it I don't remember or she didn't do it.

Mickbee is arranging transport to the Disney Magic for us on May 14. In exchange, I am arranging transport in LA to the Grand California Hotel. We are leaving on different days from LA, so we are on our own beyond that. I know we are still looking at options for LA. I'm not sure what Mickbee has up his sleeve for Orlando. He just keeps saying, "Trust me." Yeah, yeah.

Margaret! Have you seen Castaway Cay yet? I know Kelli has...

I've got to say, I've only seen CC from afar... both times the seas were too rough and the wind was too high to make a safe landing.

Also, Catherine, I'm tickled pink to see you coming on this trip.

I traversed Panama from Panama City to Colon and back again via rail back in '77. I'm looking forward to sailing through the canal. Bring your binoks. The views are breathtaking. I toured Minaflores Locks on the Pacific side as well. The locks themselves are fabulous feats of engineering.

Oh my goodness, I just love the spa. Here's something you might not know:
Panties for the treatments are really optional, depending on your sensitivity and comfort. If you are a "fluffy" person, they do not fit very well at all. If you would rather go au naturale, it is possible. There is always the sanctuary of a discreet and well-placed towel.

Oh, another thing, if you don't want the sales pitch, just tell your person that you aren't interested in any products and do not wish to hear the sales pitch before you get started. They will respect your wishes and not take offense.

On both my sailings, I was awarded the Magical Memories Guest Award thanks mainly to the Vista Spa staff. Perhaps it was because I was there so much that I got to know a number of the staff members on a personal basis. Perhaps it's because I'm a good tipper. I don't know why, but it sure is nice to know they appreciate your patronage.

This is the last Disney sailing for some of the crew. Several have asked that their contracts be extended just for this cruise, after that they go home or to other ships. Salvadore and Marcos are going back to Sicily. I shall miss those two darling brothers.

Peter,

All I can say is hubby loves the rainforest...we both do, we get the full cruise pass and we go in once or twice a day. The tile loungers are excellent, as well as the steam rooms and aromatherapy showers. You wear your swimsuit, because you are with other people.

His favorite massage on the cruise is the well being massage. He did the mud one once and wasn't impressed, went back to well being.

For the upcoming cruise he is already thinking he will have at least two massages..lol.

mvlmeco..Is that the marco, well, when we were on the magic last he was in Palo and he was outstanding.

Stolen From the Ship of Fools :goodvibes TY PP

Also explanation..

Ok friends....I just got off the phone the Castaway Club and inquired why some get the mailings and some don't. The CM was very nice and explained that it is just a random mailing and done by an outside marketing company. DCL themselves does not do the mailing. She did not know what the criteria was for the current mailing or even what the mailing looked like...I told her and she was impressed. She did offer to look into putting my name on the Marketing List, but was not sure how to do it. So, who knows...maybe in the future I will receive a mailing!!!

Well we are starting another week; just think we are a week closer to sailing.

I just checked the DCL site for availability for this cruise, as of this morn there are Cat 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 available.

Margaret, I think the rail trip would be very interesting. How long did it take?

We got our presentation roughly ready, have next week to polish.

Funny I checked yesterday and it showed only 9,10,11,12
Said to self should have done that cat 7 upgrade but Remember the 14th is the big day. Still giving Disney first shot at the free upgrade :goodvibes
