Just a really dumb question regarding Passports. If you have a passport for everyone in your party, are birth certificates still needed for check-in and security purposes.

I guess what I really wanted to know was, can I leave our birth certificates at home? I think that we can and this is what I paid $310 for the passports.

Not dumb, unique...I always take my passport. You can't get a passport without a proper birth certificate so I give it a rest and leave my BC at home.

If you belong to AAA some of their offices have cameras. Some Walgreens do them also.

The three of us all had ours taken at Walgreen's. Different locations in 2 different states. I called before I went over to check prices and times they would take the pics. The first time Keith went in, their camera was broken, so I made sure to check before I made the trip. Walgreen's charged each of us $6, and the PO was more, but I don't remember how much more.

I'd call around and see about prices. For us, the price was worth going to 2 different places for photos and paperwork.

I got the passport photos for the kids done at Costco -- $4.99 each and they look great!

Our local Post Office did it all..

Printed out the forms at home... Filled out
went to post office and done.. Pictures and All..
Should have in the mail in a couple of weeks..

This quarter I have Mondays off...its awesome....but I got up and in the shower this morning and THEN my groomer calls and says they have to reschedule.....I could have slept in at LEAST 2 more hours!

You can also get passport photos at Kinko's. Robert needed to renew his so that's where he went. But then he had them sitting on the counter, leaned over them, slid them off counter into dog's water dish. So much for pictures.

So, I got out the digital camera and took the picture. Printed it out for the Passport dudes and sent them in with renewal. Must have been good enough! Received passport about a month ago.

We are all set.

I'll stick one toe out of lurker mode! We are on the repo cruise, Emily, Chris, MIL Beth, and our boys Liam (5), Cade (3) and Zane (7 months at cruise time). We went to the post office and did the whole shebang too. If you go to the passport bureau website you can look up the local passport office and see if they have onsite photos. The guy at the office told us that was the best way to go if you were taking a small child because they are picky about infant pictures being the right size. Be sure and take your checkbook or cash though- the website was wrong about being able to use a credit card for the postage fees.

Someone posted that they are in need of a possible ride over to the Port on 5/14 - I have searched the thread the past couple of days and tried to find who it was but somehow I keep missing it. I know it was since Friday..

Here's the list I have so far of people who would either be interested in purchasing (at cost) a DVD souvenir of the cruise and/or would be willing to send me their photos and video footage for its creation. When the cruise is over, I'll post a message on this list (assuming it's still here) with the details for sending me materials and placing orders. I won't be able to give an exact price until after the cruise, but I imagine it will be in the $5-$10 range (including basic shipping). I'll set one DVD price for everyone (to be multiplied by the number of DVDs ordered) and most likely one base shipping price so as not to charge extra to those who will need me to return photos or video or who live farther away. Additional shipping options (insurance, delivery confirmation) will be available as add-ons.

How did the shirts from zazzle fit? Pretty true to size?

Is anyone going to put the pin design on a shirt on zazzle or cafepress? I could do it if someone emails me the design JPG and walks me thru it.... technologically impaired here...
