20050514 Cincinnati DIS Meet(updated)

I'd like to go. Perhaps we could share the driving. That way we wouldn't have the added expense of an overnight stay in Cincinnati. That is unless we have a sleepover at Elaine and Luis' house.

We do have two bedrooms available, though on a Sunday morning we kick people out early to go to church (we leave at about 9:30)

But if either of you want to come, feel free to come on down. We have room for both of you in our cars if y'all would like to only drive half way! And I know you'd be welcome to stay the night if you really would like that.

We plan on making a day out of it, so if either of you like, we'd be happy to try to make the trip down a wee bit easier on you.

And Lily, I'll be at WDW the weekend before... I see nothing wrong with making this trip

Only been to the Cincy zoo once, about 15 years ago.

11:00 am is fine. (That's 10:00 Indiana time (EST- we don't switch to EDT)

Isn't the zoo pretty big? Where exactly do we meet at? Thanks.

Hopefully in May the Zoo Babies will be going..
When I was there thursday there was a baby Ocelot(Not on display yet but hopefully by then--they had some cute baby lemurs on display though)

Last time I was at the Cincy zoo, I was a toddler. I know that there is a picture floating around my parents house of my brother and I looking at a gigantic turtle. I guess that Lily and I should make definite plans.

Just seen that the Maifest is that weekend in Covington, KY. Just in case anyone is interested in going there after the zoo. Food and crafts.

I would absolutely love to do this, but I'll be in WDW that weekend. Hey, wait a second, what am I complaining about? I'm going to Disney World!!

Seriously...I wish I could go. I'd love to attend a DIS meet, and this is the first one I've seen that's been close enough for me to get to. Hope you all have a great time, and I hope you plan another Cincy meet soon - just not on the same weekend as my WDW trip!

What do you have against Skyline Chili? That would be a great after zoo spot. There is one right nearby. There is also a great pizza place called Dewey's that could accomodate a group.

i know we will be there - just not what time yet, swim meet on Saturday starts at 9:30 - but Kara is only swimming in 2 events.

Might help to have a couple of meeting places and times

I'm a broken record as far as Skyline Chili is concerned. I like the stuff too much. But I like pizza too. I was just picking on Elaine.

There is a Graeters(Ice cream) down the road from the Zoo too...

Larosa's(pizza) is good to eat too...
So it's
Larosa's, Dewey's or Skyline...3 good places to eat...
