Does anyone know if the 2005 point charts are available for the Disney Collection?
I know that the DVC point charts are out.
I went to make a reservation last Friday for the YC in Jan. 2005 and found the point total was higher than I calculated based on using the point chart (2004) that is on the official DVC website.
I was informed that the 2005 points were higher(which I'd expect) and what was in the DVC computers was accurate. I asked where I might find a copy of the 2005 points so I could plan accordingly and after waiting awhile, was informed by the CM that they really didn't know. In fact, the CM said they don't even have copies of the new point charts themselves but I could call them and they would look up the new points for me.
I find this a little impractical for planning purposes because of the number of different resort options and room types.
The CM told me the 2005 points had only just been put in the system. I then asked how can someone plan/book anything in the Disney Collection at 11 months without having the points available to them? Here I am only at a 6-7 month window. What if I wanted to book the Poly for Jan. 2005 back in Feb. 2004?
The CM told me that basically you can't make a reservation until the new points are in the system and this only just happened. Is this really true?
It seems to me that if someone wants to make a reservation for the Disney Collection within the stated 11 month window, then the DVC should be able to do this and should honor whatever points they currently have published. If they are lax in publishing their 2005 points then they should honor the 2004.
Anyone have any thoughts or had experience witg this scenario before?
I can't be alone here.
Thanks!
