Ah the memories, these are great. Thank You WDWLvr....

You are most welcome! Sailaway is such a fun time. We really wished we could have been on that cruise with you all. Alas at the time all we could afford was the 4 day. It was fun watching you all sail out to see and the best part is that the next day was our turn! :)

We did the Western one year later and loved it. Now our next one is the Christmas 2004. Can't wait to meet everyone and to see the new ports!

We will be cruising for Christmas 2004. We booked 2 cat 10 rooms it will be myself35 my DH35, DS 16, DS13, DD12, MIL and we will have a 10 month old child. The total cost for all of us is over$10,000. Which yes, it is expensive, but I think for the amount of time and the time of year we are going, it is worth it. We are so looking forward to it!:D

Dena,

Welcome to the group. Looks like what is really going to make this cruise great (besides the fact that it is 10 days with new ports) is that it is full of repeat cruisers. This will be #6 for us!

Mary,
Thanks for the welcome!:p This cruise will be # 7 for us.:Pinkbounc And I NEVER get tired of it!!!

We are also going on the 10 day 2004 X-mas cruise. We booked through Cruise411.com Cat. 10 and paid $6,133.00 for two adults and two paying children. We are in cabin 5024(secret porthole room). I will be traveling with my husband Steven, daughter Emily - 7.5 at the time of the cruise and son Ethan 3.5 at the time of the cruise. We have the early seating for dinner. It would be some much fun if all the Disboards could get together either for dinner or a night at Palo's. This will be our second DC. We are taking our first DC in 3 weeks (8/24) on the 4 night Wonder and than off to the WL for 4 days. We are counting down the days. I look forward to meeting everyone for the 10 day sailing. If anyone feels like e mailing us, please do so. Gail1771:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Hi Everyone!

Did you have a great weekend? I was in DC for my big bro's wedding. We had a blast! You know weddings are really different when the bride and groom are in their late 50's! Different in a great way - much more laid back and enjoyable - no big family pressure to perform and all that. Two really fun things - between the wedding and the reception, they put a bunch of us out-of-towners in the huge stretch limo and told the driver to show us Washingto DC! That was so much fun, my siser and I and a bunch of nieces and nephews (and my own oldest son and his fiance.) And then the reception was a dinner cruise on the Potomac. It wasn't quite the Magic, but I love hanging out on boats and ships. I kept thinking about our up-coming cruise in January and then the Christmas cruise w/all y'all. (See I brought this around to the real subject at hand!)

Glad to see more people joining in the thread. I see we have a few teens now, are there any other young adults? My kidz will be 18 and 21!

Storms over Chicago turned my 1.5 hour plane ride back from DC into a 5 hour ordeal with an unexpected refueling stop in Indianapolis! Would have been ok if the plane hadn't had problems w/ it's air conditioning! You just never know! I hope everyone here is planning to fly into Orlando the day before.

Have a great week! I promise to do my part in bumping things up from time to time!

Karyn

Welcome to the DIS Boards, Gail. I'll be 40 when we cruise and my wife will be "a little older". And our DS will be the same age as your DD. Nice to know we'll be cruising with folks at the same stage in life!

Thanks for the reply. We are staying on deck 5 cabin 5024. It will be nice for my daughter to have children her age. I agree that it is nice to get to know people cruising in the same stage of life as we are. Our dining seating is early. It would be great if all the Disboard people could sit together at dinner or have a night at Palo's. If you get a chance please feel free to e mail me. Gail1771

Doug,
We're right next door to you in 5524. Got that coveted SPH cabin as a big surprise a couple of weeks ago.
It me 38, DH 48, and DD 10 at the time of the cruise. It was painful to put in our ages since DH and I will have 2 b'days by then  . We have 2nd seating, love it.
I am going to have to do a lot of creative thinking to be able to get off work, as well as DH. Have lots of time to think about it.

Hello to all on deck 5 secret porthole rooms. We are in 5024. I will be traveling with my DH age 39, DD 7.5 , DS 3.5 and myself 44 years of age at the time of the cruise. We have the early seating for dinner. It would be awsome to get all the Disboards together for dinner, at Palo's or for a drink. We were so psyched to find out we have a secret porthole. I look forward to meeting everyone. This is going to be a great cruise. Please feel free to e mail me. Gail1771:Pinkbounc :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

DH, Randy's a professional musician (piano and organ) can he play your piano? He can do a concert for all of us - we can bring Christmas music! How cool would that be!!!
