Hi everyone.

I am getting so excitied about this cruise. DH surprised me and joined me up for a gym that I have been talking about for months. I start this Wednesday. 20 pounds to take off before we sail. I would actually be happy with 15 but if I loose 20 I can eat more on the cruise.

David, How many are in your party. If our table does not hold over 10 how about sitting at the table next to us??? Hopefully more will join us on the early seating.

Karin and Deb I miss our e mails. I am now back in the swing of things. I would love to get back to e mailing. Karin how is the move going? Is the house packed up yet? Deb how is Jake doing? I am looking forward to Jake and Ethan playing together.

Mary, I will make sure that when I do the table you and DH are with us. What fun!!! I wanted to let you know that we are going on Celebrity Summit next month on there 10 day southern cruise and we will be stopping in St. Lucia. We will also be stopping in Barbados, St. Kitts, St. Thomas and St. Maarteen. It is a 10 day sailing with 4 nights at sea. We have been together for 10 years and we will be traveling with no children. The cruise leaves out of Ft. Lauderdale on 2/13. I will let you know all about St. Lucia and any new developments on St. Maarteen or St. Thomas. I was in Antigua about 15 years ago so I do not recall very much except the beaches were beautiful.

DH is finally making some progress on our extension. He had some time between jobs but that will end in about one week.

Talk to you all soon. Fondly-Gail1771:earsgirl:

Gail your cruise sounds rather romantic.....no kids. Remember no 'souveniers' or you won't get to cruise DCL at Christmas. Wow, you really are lucky, 2 10-day cruises in the same year.

Gail, that does sound wonderful! And what a great time of year to go. Please let us know what's fun in the ports there.

It's warmed up a bit here. We were talking at scouts last night how funny it was to be happy with highs in the mid 40s!

Take care all. Lisa

Gail you lucky girl - two 10 days cruises - nice!

You can be out point person and check out the islands for us. Hope you have a wonderful time! I would so love to get away right now :D

You and me, both Mary! We're taking Jill (that's Your Highness or Princess to the rest of you) back to FL to visit the colleges she's considering in a couple weeks and it can't come soon enough! Of course before then , I have to finish packing the house.

We have a house in Puyallup, WA now!!!! Just signed the papers yesterday, we can take possession of it on 2/15 (close here on 2/12).

Today is a major packing day. I hope to get all my china and stemware and tea cup collection packed. Then pack all-but essentials in the kitchen and pantry. I'm surrounded by boxes here, but I want them to all be full boxes by the end of the day.

Gail, you lucky girl, you! Can I please come with you???? I'll even try to lose enough weight to fit in a suitcase! If you're going to take someone elase, please take Mary - the two of us need it the most! And Gail, I will talk to you more once this move is done (if I don't have to make too many scarves!)

Karyn

Karyn,

Congrats on the house! Great news!

Lucky you headed back to florida - hope it warms up before you get there - its been cold down there this week!

Have a great day everyone!

HOLY POOPIE!!

Gail, are there any more like you at home? If I signed my wife up for a gym, she'd lose more weight kicking my butt all over da house.
:duck:

Good morning everyone.
Karyn, Congratulations on the house. When all is said and done we will get back to our e mailing. I wish you and Mary could join us. What fun that would be. I am looking forward to meeting you all. My DS is in his terrible two's. I hope when he turns 3 in June that it will be a lottle bettwer. If not I might just leave him home for the DC in December. My DD is a delight and will be almost 8. It is hard traveling with a 2.7 month old chils. He gave us a run for our money over the holidays when we were away. I know he would lve the crusie but 11 nights is a long time and I am know thinking our cabin is a cat. 10 with a SPH but it is small even though we won't be in it much.

Has anyone else traveled on a long cruise with a three and a half year old????

Yes it is off to the gym I go tomorrow to have a free session with a personal trainer tomorrow and use the tradmill. If my hubby did not sign me up I would never get there. Now that our cc is being charged every month $49.00(great deal for NY Sports Club) I will be going for sure even if it is twice a week. I have been saying I will go for months I just needed the push. To think I use to play Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Jog in High School and College, even after college and I cant get motivated. I hit my 40's and got lazy. I hope this puts me back in the swing of things. I hope this extra 20 comes off before December. I love to eat deserts. That is my down fall and DH also. I guess I will be cutting that out. I won't for the Celebrity Cruise next month. It will have to wait.

I hope you all have a great day. Fondly-Gail1771

Wow, leave the boards for a few days and it takes hours to catch up on all the posts!!

Karyn: Welcome to Washington state! You won't need too many scarfs in Puyallup - just an umbrella!

Jill "Your Highness": I'll dig out my crochet needles out and pull together some lime green frocks for my family - great idea!

Hope everyone is well...

the Other Jill

Herc, you are too funny. But I think I would be kicking my DH's butt if he did that too me. Sounds like your wife and I will get along just fine. BTW, does she drink wine?!?

Oh GAWD does she. And she's not particular either (look who she married :D). We've got lots of the good stuff in wine racks and she guzzles the the high dollar "Wine in a box"....

Hi Everyone,

I look at joining the gym as a complement that my husband wants me to be healthy. It is good for you heart, well being and stress level. It has nothing to do with my appearance. He loves me no matter what or what I look like. He always has. It is the inside that counts. We are everything to each other and we will always rock each other's world. So I do not look at this as an insult or being negative I look at is as he wants me to be around with him for a long time. I use to work out all the time before I had my children and life got busy but you need to make time for yourself. I use to enjoy going and I'm sure I will again. I just wanted you all to know that I am happy that that I got that push to go again.

Anyway talk to you all soon. Gail1771

No worries Gail...I'm just funnin' with you. If you talked about it for a long time, then hubby did right in signing you up. If you hadn't said anything, THEN there might've been trouble. ('sides I think it's kewl that you wanna look good! Hubby is a lucky dude!)

Now all you need to do is talk alot about diamonds and jewelry...;)

Gail - it just shows that you DH knows what you like. Now if my DH did that I would be mad. :D

Won't we all be a sight in our wonderful green and white scarves. We'll have to find a time when we can do a group picture!

Gail, it also shows that your DH listens to you and gets you what you want/need. Good for both of you :)

Gail, come on over the WISH board! I find that keeping up with posts over there helps me stay on track. Everyone is very encouraging. Will be interested in hearing what you think of the Summit cruise. I think it's a newer, larger ship than the Horizon, which we were just on. Wonder if there's more to do?

Karyn, I was just reading a post on the WISH board where someone said they missed your posts. I know you're busy these days, just thought I'd let you know.

Mary, my DH is putting together a little web page about diving options on the islands we are visiting. Some of the dive operators also offer a tour with snorkeling and beach time, so non-scuba types can go along (me). Can't remember which island this is, though! I will post a link when he gets it done, maybe you can add it to your web page too.

And all - we have second seating but would also love to sit with a big group. Preferably one with a few other young teens. Please PM if you're interested!

Hi Everyone. What and where is the Wish Board. I don't think I ever heard of it unless it also goes by another name???
Thanks Gail1771

Gail (and anyone else interested) here is a link to the WISH board. WISH

WISH stands for We're Inspired to Stay Healthy. It is a great place for those looking to lose a few pounds or anyone else who wants to live a heathier lifestyle. The best thing is that it isn't for any one diet, lifestyle or way of eating. Everyone is welcome. You can take the WISH challenge and add the WISH clipart to your signature. Then when you meet milestones (5 lbs. each) you can post new clippies.

There are weekly check-ins which help keep you accountable and also to give you inspiration. Come and join us!
