We warned you. Your restaurant bill will NEVER be the same. Wait until they eat at the same table as the Scuba's - you never know what they'll try next.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be shrimp and/or lobster. Right now both of those elicit a terrible gag reflex and a dramatic death scene.

Our 11 year old son ate four hamburgers off the kids menu every night. Our server, Leeroy, got to the point after about the 2nd night that as soon as we sat down, George's 4 hamburgers appeared!! He was bumbed his first full day home when he realized he no longer had unlimitted hamburgers.

Leeroy from Jamaica? We saw him around the ship. We had him in May. He was new and wasn't very good (very very slow) Our assistant server was AWESOME and picked up most of his slack though, so it turned out ok.
How was Leeroy for this cruise? Hopefully he did well for you!!!

Well, I do have to tell you about my Christmas present I recieved - it's an electonic photo frame that rotates up to 35 pictures at whatever rate you set it to. Ours are all cruise pictures right now and they rotate every 5 minutes. I think you can set it as fast as every X seconds or as long as once a day. I am really enjoying this present. (The real present was Jim and Matt loading all of the cruise pictures I selected into the frame for my enjoyment). :cool1: :cool1:

VERY VERY COOL! Ohiomickey, do NOT read this post.

I have a fear we'll be making a Best Buy run in the near future if he reads this.

Btw, Kevin, if you noticed that my dh never came over to talk to you, I'm sorry. I made up a lot of things about you so that he'd be scared to get near you......otherwise we'd now be the proud owners of a DVD video camera! (just kidding, everything I said about you was good!!!)

That sounds cool. My Grandma had a picture frame like that...except it wasn't electronic. You changed the pictures yourself.

Yes, those were in the days when your TV picked up 4 stations (by using rabbit ears) and you had to change the channel or adjust the volume by getting out of your chair. And VCR's and Tivo? Non-existant.

We try to tell the kids about advances in technology over the past 20 years and they look at us like we made these things up!!!

We went to Brown Derby with Gail's family the second night off the ship. Alicia was at the other end of the table, and naturally she ordered an appetizer AND main course. Luckily, she didn't choose the steak that night.

The first thing I miss is having someone put the napkin in my lap. I'm weird, I know.

I hear ya! For my birthday dinner my MIL and her dh took us out. I looked at the appetizer menu and picked something, then onto the soup/salad section, picked there too....then looked at the main dishes....ACK!

I actually got "franks and beans" for dinner on my birthday. Franks and Beans. Mike was flabergasted that I'd order that for my birthday, but I told him I was kinda fooded out and it was nice to order something that I KNEW what it was and didn't come with a sauce I couldn't pronounce!! :)

Just want to say that I've been home (in ohio home) for about 48 hours now and I have yet to see the sunshine.

It was so foggy last night there were accidents all over. We were watching the Terminal when the lights went out. Finally we just decided to go to bed.

MMMM...... Franks n beans, one of my favorite dishes, seriously. I usually use Bush's original recipe and a local hotdog stand franks. :)

Ad far as the digital picture frame, there are a number of these that were 'new' for xmas. I'm still looking as we would love a nice neat portable way to show pics to others.

I'm a little behind on such things, as right now I have a more immediate matter:

Anyone have a dead Nokia 5100/6100 series phone?

I managed to break completely off the phone the belt clip attachment point. Snagged it on a chair at BCV the day after the cruise. All I need is the back of the phone casing, and am having a difficult time finding one. :(

Cary....sorry! I had them print the picture that I thought we had "voted" on! Another blonde moment, I guess. Glad I finally got yours delivered to you.
It did make for a funny story, though. At first we thought you were just some guy who was trying to get down the stairs and got caught up in our mob! LOL

Karen, balloons or no balloons....I was afraid he'd still have trouble. Glad he found you!

Sharon, where do I find the cool rotating picture frame?

Off for now. Guess I should attack the mountain of laundry.

Just so you don't think I'm just hanging around doing nothing, a little memento of our trip. I took these the morning of disembarkation.

Ed and Debs, I made prime rib for New Year dinner yesterday and used your recipe for Yorkshire Pudding to go with it. It turned out beautifully! Thanks so much we really enjoyed! :grouphug:

The picture frame is made by Pacific Digital. Jim got it from Costco's on line. It is not in the store.

Thank you! That really is something else! I had never even heard of these. Thank Jim for me.....it's always nice to have someone help me spend more money...LOL...he's good at that. Has he ever thought of becoming a professional shopper??

The one you're looking at is cool, too, Mark. I wonder if we wait a while, the price will come down? It would be nice to have that on a trip. So much technology, so little brain!!

I'll have to put my two cents in here. For those of you who are separated from parents/grandparents - we bought my parents a Ceiva receiver. The Ceiva receiver is an picture frame that allows you to send digital pictures via the internet. The receiver then dials up the internet each night (it has it's own modem) and downloads any new pictures. You can also have it set to download the weather and lottery numbers (I have this set for my parents this way). The only problem I have is remembering to update the pictures so that I don't get yelled at...LOL...

www.ceiva.com

If you're interested - you can save $50 by having me refer you..... Just let me know..... The frame is $149... and then you pay for the internet dialup access......

Whoa, Virgil! That is way beyond my comprehension. Someday you will find me reverting back to chiseling notes on stone!

DIS Group Photo

As long as I'm here, I thought this would be the easiest way for everyone to find out what happened with the group photos.
Before we even got on the ship, the photographer had to be arranged and paid. I helped a little, but mostly, everyone needs to thank Virgil for that!! (THANK YOU VIRGIL!)

After we took the pictures, the photographer told me that there would be a couple of copies in Shutters to look at, and that we would have to order reprints.
I was in Shutters with Mary and Mark, looking at the pics. They had already purchased the one with Cary looking forward.
We looked at them, there were three....one was immediately discarded as it didn't include David and his family. Here's where it got tricky:
There was one with Cary looking up, and one with him looking away. So sorry, Land and Sea Guy, but we hadn't met, and we didn't know who you were! But anyway, I honestly thought that Mary and Mark and I had agreed that the majority of the group looked better in the one where L&S Guy was looking away, so I thought that we decided to order copies of that one.
I went to the counter and asked the CM's how they wanted to handle this. They didn't give me a choice. I was told that we had to pick ONE picture to copy, and that they had to be paid for in advance. They also told me that I could not leave the rest of the pictures on the rack for everyone to look at....they took them from me. Except for the two that I bought to give to Cary (of him looking up). I really do not know the exact reason why Shutters wouldn't leave the pictures out for us to see. I can only guess that they maybe didn't want to hassle with taking more orders. I really don't know.
And I swear, I thought that we had agreed that one shot was better than the other, but I do apoligize if I got it wrong.
I will happily give back anyone's money that is not happy with the picture they received.

It's actually pretty simple......

Even for the technologically impaired....

I'm not sure Jim should get that honor seeing as we are now the proud owners of a photo printer! ...yeah, for KT's scrapbooking...yeah, that's it!! :)
